This is how I was given my cone. Where's the custard?!?!

Stopped because the flavor of the day was one I liked. Sorry I did. Place is dirty, dim, and full of incompetent workers. People were actually being told it would take 20-30 minutes for their food. Dashers were stacking up waiting even. If I had paid for the cone I got instead of using a survey I would have never accepted it. Can't even call it a cone. There was hardly anything on it! Workers didn't care about the state of the restaurant or that orders were piling up and no one was getting anything.

Cheese curds! When in Wisconsin you have to get cheese curds! I had the curds(of course) with the limited time pub burger with two patties on a pretzel bun with cheese sauce, pickled red onions and crispy bacon. My boy had the chicken tenders and was quite happy. Good, filling, fresh (for fast food). I'm always a Culver's fan.

We called them last minute asking for a gender reveal cake, and not only did they make the most beautiful Reese's and Oreo pie (my fave) with a fun surprise pink layer in the middle, but the manager and team were effusively excited for us and even made a cute congratulations card for us! I was blown away by the whole experience. Cannot recommend Zesty's highly enough! Thank you!!

My husband and I tried Zesty's for the first time on Friday, April 24th…read more The good: the custard is very creamy, smooth and delicious. The bad: my Chocolate Mint Oreo Scramble tasted a lot like chocolate and not very minty. I would have preferred it made with vanilla custard, not chocolate. I did not order the Grasshopper Pie Scramble because they add butterscotch and graham crackers to it. A grasshopper pie does not have either of those so I am not sure why Zesty's add them. The Mint Blast sounded like it had too much chocolate added to it, but I probably should have ordered that one as in hindsight it actually looks minty. More bad: my husband's PB Banana Bliss was missing the fudge and did not look like the picture on the menu. Big disappointment. The worst: it took 45 minutes to get our order. All we ordered was custard. There were 3 people waiting to get their food when we walked in, and 2 groups of 2 in front of us in line. That is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for custard or any food, for that matter. Also, 1 of the people waiting when we walked in, asked how long it was going to be to get her food. The cashier gave the customer her food a short time later, got very close to the customer's face and went on a rant about how the food is made fresh. I sure hope the customer contacted management. Completely unacceptable behavior for an employee.

The old fashioned ice cream counter would be fun to enjoy during warmer months, it was somewhat cold outside, so we settled on a few to-go treats instead. We purchased a couple different items including some chocolates, caramels and the sleeper pick of all the items - homemade hot cocoa mix. The mix is basically leftover chocolate shavings and makes for a delicious cup of hot chocolate. They also offer a ton of molded chocolates. Dinosaurs, flowers, race cars, animals, shapes, holiday items, etc. A variety of prices and sizes and in different chocolate types. The chocolate used in the shapes is a creamy, high quality one. Fun pit stop before heading home for the day.

I found this place on yelp, as i find everything else in life, and had to go! I was in Green Bay for the Packers game and had some time to kill throughout the week so this place was the first on my to do list. As soon as I walked in i was greeted by the only employee there at the time who was also in the middle of helping a couple (that's customer service). The menu was way easy to understand, very simple and straight forward. When it was our time to order we were told we each could try up to three samples and we took that opportunity (you would too and you know it). They all tasted pretty much the same which makes since because i assume they all have the same base dough. We decided on three flavors, chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia, and Oreo. All three good on their own but my fave was the white chocolate. The best part, i was able to travel and eat this over the next few days because its not ice cream and doesn't melt! ( i did refrigerate it in between sittings!) I also purchased pup cookie dough balls, HUGEEEEEEE HIT with my pups! If i lived here i would 100% continue to come back and you can guarantee when I'm back in Green Bay I will return. I love they are family owned and they also offer a military, police, firefighter etc discount which was verryyyy generous!

The Dairy Barn - X-Small Frozen Custard, Pistachio

As we…read moredrove in, we thought the place was inside of the nearby gas station, but we quickly found that it was a separate building with quite a number of cars and customers surrounding it. There was a nearby setup of picnic tables and all seats were taken, with people eating burgers, custard, and other treats. To order, there's a choice of either a drive through, or you can queue up at one of the windows in front. We just wanted a small snack and ordered two items. Service is quite quick; everything only took a couple of minutes to come out. Extra Small Pistachio Frozen Custard ($2) - This was the weekly special and we got the very last dregs in the frozen custard machine. We saw the employee using a spatula on the top of the machine to push through the rest of the custard. As such, we're not sure if the custard was the freshest and best churned or not. The sweetness of the custard, mint green in color, first comes through, followed by a bit of artificial pistachio flavoring. The strange thing is that we had pistachio frozen custard from another place the previous day and this tasted exactly the same. I wonder if everyone just uses the same commercial pistachio custard base and churns it differently? This particular one is quite smooth and creamy, but also a bit on the softer side and less dense than other frozen custard I've had. I can't complain when this is only $2 though. (4/5) Fried Cheese Curds ($4) - I read about the curds here on social media and I have to agree that these are quite good. The batter on the exterior is pretty thick and fried to a fantastic crisp. The interior is stretchy, milky, squeaky as they stick to the teeth and have a more firm chew. The exterior batter has quite a bit of salt added after it comes out of the fryer, making this a treat that almost begs for custard or some other sweet beverage/treat on the side. (4/5) I'm not sure there is anything that they actually make in house, but hey, the prices are so cheap and they execute everything well enough that it makes me not care. I wouldn't make The Dairy Barn a destination for food or anything, but it's a solid place to visit while you're on the road. Note that they change the special custard flavor every week starting on Wednesday until they run out, so if you insist on the special flavor don't wait until Tuesday! Bathrooms - One single unisex room located on the right side of the exterior of the building. Overall rating of the food this visit: 4/5
