Got the mushroom and swiss butterburger and it was great! Fries were "meh" and I kind of wish I had substituted something else in place of them but I know better for next time. The Reese's Concrete Mixer (basically a custard milkshake mixed with Reese's) definitely made up for the lackluster fries though! Great place to eat! I love their food here. I mean, they have never once served my food the way I ordered it, but the fact that the employees are always professional and polite, and the food is so delicious, I can over look the consistent errors in my order. When I say errors, I order my burger with ketchup, mustard,lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. They never give me mustard and always give me mayo. I don't usually send it back. I figure it isn't a huge deal. The cheese curds are okay, not that great. They seem more rubbery than stretchy. But the fries and onion rings are great. The custard is soooo good! The burgers are excellent, The place is always clean too which is great. I guess if I had to complain I would say that they are situated directly between Zaxby's and Captain D's. Usually great food but the last two visits were not so good. They are supposed to prepare all food to order however that was not the case on these visits. The hamburgers were cold and the large orders of cheese curds (which looked like very small orders) were as well. We rather thought they would be since the order was delivered to our table by the time we sat down. We asked for freshly prepared replacements and got an attitude from the wait staff. We shall give then one more chance and if they fail, we are through. They are far to expensive to settle for cold food and poor attitudes. We paid almost $25 for two meals with drinks. read more

I was there on 5/3/16 for a quick stop ice cream. Ordered a flavor of the day ice cream w sugar cone. I sat & waited for 15 minutes. Still no ice cream! So I get up and the cashier what happened to my order. Of course my order had seat on the tray & never bring it out. My ice cream was all melt so they have to make a new one. We swung by today for a quick meal, used the drive thru due to the virus, so I normally don't leave reviews unless the service is really good or really bad, sadly in this case it's the ladder. The girl at drive up window was really nasty and rude. If you watch the series Ozark on Netflix think of Ruth, not very pleasant, be warned. We tried Culver's the other day - it was my first time visiting one. We didn't have custard on this trip since our food was so filling, though I like the option of ordering your dessert and having it come to the table later. I had the Atlantic Cod with cheese curds (which are $1 extra) and I was very happy with the crispness of the fried fish. I liked the different choices for sides and the cheese curds did not disappoint. The person I was dining with had the pot roast and as much as I enjoyed my fish, I may order it next time based off the one bite I sampled! I did not see fresh made tea (I might have missed it), so I went with a Dr. Pepper since they have Pepsi products. I must mention it was pleasant interacting with the employees because typically with fast food you can run into snappy or rude people. The restaurant itself is incredibly clean, as well! read more

Stopped in with the family because Its listed as having frozen yogurt. They only serve frozen custard, no ice cream or yogurt.

Not impressed, another expensive burger place. I would rather visit Hardee's as good food for 1/2 the price. We have a Varsity just down the road why bother with this place. I waited a year before posting, because I look for consistency. The burgers are great and the fries are my favorite, but this place has serious management and service issues. If it is successful, it will only be because of visitors that occasionally come into the area and the good hamburgers. Unfortunately, it's luck to get the correct order, as I have only received the correct order ONCE in about 15 times. The kids are sweet, but it's not uncommon for 10 workers to stand there and look at you instead of ask you for your order, so I go through the drive-through. Once I had to go inside to get my fries and there were no less than 10 people standing behind the counter doing nothing and I finally said "hey, can someone help me?" Finally, a manager says "hey, can someone help her?" and one guy goes "whadya need?" Really? LOL! Twice I have gotten broken plastic in my frozen custard and once a piece got shoved into my gum and I had to go to the dentist. Great taste, but the other issues overshadow it for me. read more

The Culver's, in Dawsonville, is awful. My husband and I have tried it a few times. Hamburgers and fries are very greasy! To be a new place, it already stinks, when you walk in door. Smells like a "soured mop". Watched the young man "cleaning" a table with a dirty rag and just wiped food and trash onto the floor and just left it there. The bathrooms are nasty. Young man at cash register, handling money, prepared husbands Banana Split, didn't wash his hands before or after and never used gloves. What a shame this location is going down hill so fast. Have always liked Culver's in the past. The Dawsonville store is exception. Both my son and I got violently I'll after eating burgers there 3 weeks ago. I called the manager so he could pursue whether it was bad food, or a process issue. He inquired whether I had gone to the hospital. FINALLY! To those familiar with Culvur's, it is as good as all other Culvers! I am glad seeing Norther food migrating South! Culver's is a staple up North and has the BEST custard EVER! Their food is delicious, BUT, it is a little "juicy." They have some "healthy" choices, but if you are going to Culver's, you are probably not going for "healthy" reasons. It was very busy when we went two weeks after opening, but as the two previous commenter stated, the opening kinks have been worked out to our observation. One commented felt the food service could be enhanced, Instead of runners walking around looking for numbers, service could be "enhanced" by "calling the numbers out" NO, this is not how Culver's does it. Typically it is not a madhouse, and a bit easier for the runners to find numbers. Calling out orders and loudness is reserved for the Varsity down the road. Food takes time to cook at Culver's, so keeping people up at the counter to "wait for food" would clog the front. This is the best way and as the crowds go to normal levels, it will be seen to work well. I am very happy for Culvers coming to Georgia and very glad it is only 10 miles away! Now we just need a White Castle and Portillos and we are set! read more

barely eeked out a fourth star from me. its been crazy packed since opening a few days ago. decided i would tough out the crowd on sunday for a burger. i went at 2 on the dot thinking the lunch/church rush would be over. wrong. 20 min. wait to even order.. then exactly 1 hour to get the food we ordered. so yeah.. that sucked. but we were with good friends, so we just shot the sheet and goofed off.. anyway compliment sandwich time/ the place is new, clean, great menu, and convenient location for me. however the the staff is very green, plenty of people on the clock, but lots of standing around.. lots of confusion,lots of staff walking around like zombies through the dining room trying to deliver food, and looking for "numbers" on the table, instead of actively calling out "number 33, i got number 33 here!!!" which would have saved so much time, energy, and gotten people food in a reasonable manner.. or better yet.. get a flipping intercom and announce the # when its up and have the customer come get it!! instead of wasting time with incompetent, bashful employees taking 3 laps around the place to deliver food... uggh.. and i only saw 2 people actually working. one guy in the kitchen that was on expo calling out orders, and getting tickets together..he was a rock star!! the other 6 people back there were just standing around waiting for this guy to direct them instead of actually reading screens and getting food items together. the owner is upfront punching buttons on a register for 15 minutes.. finally a mgr, came over, and fixed whatever he was messing up...and everything else.. she was the only one taking charge up front.. so once we got our food it was fantastic. dbl butter burger was incredible. similar to steak and shake.. crinkle fries were hot and crisp, seasoned perfectly.. the bun on the burger was terrific. hot, butter grilled, soft, and a really nice texture.. the cheese curds are a much welcomed item down south..crispy, cheesy, and addictive. overall the food was a homerun. everyone was extremely pleased. i reccomend, but if you come.. come patient.. they are still trying to get it together.. but it is somewhat understandable.. as there is a line out of the door all damn day.. its crazy busy.. but it may be worth it, if you want a good burger.. read more
