    Original Butterburger with cheese

I don't live in the area and we came here because I remembered eating at Culver's years ago. We went in my husband ordered a dbl deluxe cheeseburger. I ordered a single Swiss burger, we both ordered it with the works. First we didn't get the deluxe. Second the works is a squirt of catsup and a dab of mustard 2 pickles and 2 small onion rings. No Mayo. None in packets either. My burger had cheddar on it not Swiss. To be truthful I am so disappointed I won't go to a Culver's again. A few months ago I was at a different Culver's and was disappointed when my burger was just a bun patty with cheese. No one asked if I wanted condiments. (Drive-thru). I took a chance here but while the burger was fine the service and presentation of the burger was a big disappointment.

Best burger for quick serve there is. Clean location. Friendly and fast service. Try the double bacon burger

Love when we get into the country where Culver's are!! Great burgers and I just LOVE the crinkle fries. We are here for the wknd and already came in as soon as we got into town. Another fine thing is the Lemon Ice in the summer. Well they have it now!! Got so luck on that. Will take some back to hotel with for later!!!

First day back in Wisconsin, have to stop at the local Culver's! Had the cheddar bacon double butter burger and a large order of cheese curds! Missed this! Both had the Wisconsin flavor I missed. " Keep 'er Moving"

Culver's for custard! I have to make a stop at Culver's whenever I'm in the Fox Cities - their frozen custard can't be beat. They have cones and sundaes with whatever toppings you like, and you really can't go wrong. The restaurant has comfortable booths and tables inside and out, and it's clean and friendly. I was surprised to discover food on the menu - lots of it - but I can't tell you about any of it. I go for the custard, and I always leave happy.

Absolutely the best cheese curds and chili cheese fries anywhere, but they need a larger bathroom.

I split two meals with my brother so I got half a double butter burger and a few buffalo chicken tenders.

The toppings don't really love, but it was OK. The PB&J burger was 7 out of 10. overall good burger, good bar, but the bacon needs to be crispy. The truffle fries are not truffle fries. They taste like Parmesan fries and they're just weird zero stars for the truffle fries.

In November 2025 the burger special was the Apple Butter Badger burger, which was a 1/3 pound patty topped with smashed fried cheese curds, sliced apples, apple butter, and wonton strips on a salted pretzel bun. My family and I stopped for dinner so I could give it a try. In addition to the burger I got tater tots. While I don't mind mixing savory and sweet in combos I'm not used to, like having apple on a burger, this particular burger was fine to try once but it's probably not something I'd get again. The apple didn't stand out until the last couple of bites when all I had left was the middle (I eat around the middle first). The wonton strips seemed unnecessary and I would have preferred the pretzel bun without the salt on top. The apple butter was great and stood out in every bite. The tater tots may have been the crunchiest I've ever had and, as someone that has crunch as their favorite food texture, I thoroughly enjoyed them. My wife got the PB&J burger with strawberry jelly and no jalapenos. One kid for the regular Badger burger and the other got just a plain cheeseburger. They also had fries for their side. All of them liked their meals and said they'd get them again. Prices seem super reasonable compared to most other restaurants. The bar area and tables were mostly full, yet our food came out reasonably quick, which was appreciated. Home Burger Bar is a place I'd keep coming back to.

I Came Back to Appleton... Wisconsin Immediately Fed Me…read more There are many ways to kick off an HS Reunion weekend. Apparently, the correct Wisconsin way is cheese curds, a soft pretzel, beer cheese, mustard, and craft beer. One of my host~family sisters and longtime friends brought me to Stone Arch Brewpub shortly after I touched down in Appleton, and this was exactly the kind of welcome~back I needed. Let's talk about those cheese curds. Pillowy. Soft. Tender. Ridiculously good. I don't say this lightly, but these may be some of the best cheese curds I've ever eaten. Then came the pretzel~super buttery and incredibly soft~with Wisconsin beer cheese and mustard for dipping. At that point, the reunion could have ended and I would've considered the trip successful. But we weren't done. We worked our way through an assortment of craft beers spanning Hazy IPAs, West Coast IPAs, Sours and Gose~style beers. The atmosphere was cool, the service was great, and the combination of food, beer and catching up with an old friend made this feel like the perfect beginning to my return to Appleton. Sometimes the best travel experiences aren't about finding the newest or trendiest place. Sometimes it's about sitting down with someone who knows you, sharing some great food and beer, and realizing some things really do feel like coming home. Stone Arch was a damn good way to start the reunion. Would absolutely return.

My experience this time around was a little bit more of a let down hence why I had to take one star off. When I went few months ago, I had burnt coffee which I chalked it up as a one time error. But it happened again with this visit, so that told me they don't really pay much attention to their coffee yet they have a whole menu dedicated to coffee. I also made a reservation on a Sunday knowing it fills up quick and that it might be hard to get a table, however, it was an hour and half before they close which means they tend to slow down around that time. Also, when making a reservation, it'll ask you if you want bar, dining area or patio. I chose dining area. Yet they called me an half hour before to see if I wanted to sit at the bar, which I told them twice in person I do not want to, and as a result the hostess gave me the annoyed/judgmental look down when I wasn't looking. As someone who has owned a family restaurant business for 30 years, that's a big no-no in terms of customer service. It's just rude and unnecessary. Also, they kind of really try to get customers out by 2, which is when they close. By standard at most restaurants, they need an extra hour after closing for customers to take their time with their meals rather than rushing through it, especially if you will sit them 20 minutes before closing time. I felt rushed, and I don't like that feeling at a place I'm trying to enjoy my meal. Would I come back here? Absolutely yes because their food is really the best for brunch in the area and it's cleaner. It just shouldn't be an excuse with certain things like what I mentioned above. P.S. if chicken and waffles happens to be one of the specials, get it. It's by far the best dish I've ever tried there and also my top 3 chicken & waffles that I've tried anywhere. SO GOOD!
