Grilled chicken sandwich with crinkle cut fries
Summer G.

The Apple Valley (AV) Culver's is one of the best Culver's in the south metro suburbs! I visited there this past Thursday evening with my family and of course it was a bit busy as usual. However, I've always found this Culver's to be the most efficient even when there is a long wait line to order. Environment: This Culver's is always clean from my experience. I've sat inside and outside, with both areas being well maintained and consistently cleaned/sanitized. Seeing that happen as well while I'm visiting makes me more prone to eat my meal there verse taking it "to-go". Food: I've visited here several times and have always loved Culver's Fresh Catch Fish Sandwich. However, this past visit I decided to try something different and get the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with crinkle cut fries and a chocolate shake. The size of the sandwich was incredible, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and I appreciated the lettuce, thick tomato slice and pickle that came with the sandwich. Absolutely delicious and was a nice change up from my usual go-to (Fish Sandwich). The chocolate shake was lovely, simply delicious and just the right thickness to drink! My husband got the strawberry shake which had fresh chunks of strawberries in it, yum!! Price: Overall price at Culver's is right in-line with most fast food restaurants however I do appreciate how Culver's makes everything fresh - so the fact that it's simply so fresh gives them a bit more leverage to charge a high price. Ice cream pints are a bit spendy but they do have a promotion where you can buy 3 pints for $11 - and their ice cream is incredible so I don't think that's too outrageous or out of line. Overall: I rate the AV Culver's a 10/10. Always fresh and delicious food at a good price and clean environment with friendly staff. I also enjoy stopping by just for ice cream and to understand what their flavor of the day is, which usually seems to be something extremely delicious! Give this location a try if you haven't yet already, you won't regret it!!

Not holding the standards they used to. Includes pic of the flavor of the Day and what I received.

The Apple Valley Culver's is a delightful place. The food is always delicious and fresh, not too fast, but not too slow. The workers are very kind and engage in kind conversation through your order. The establishment is clean and family friendly. It is placed just across the street from wonderful Kelly Park. Four stars because Culver's is a grease ball.

The only good things here are the shakes, other than that burgers are over cook and very grease fries are not even cook, and service sucks.

The steak asada tacos are my favorite -- the beef is perfectly salted and so flavorful. I also enjoyed the chicken tinga tacos, which has a tomato-based adobo sauce. The barbacoa tacos were juicy but I would've liked a little more salt. Don't miss the condiment area, where you can get lime wedges and mild, medium, and hot salsas. The mild salsa wasn't spicy at all and added nice flavor to the tacos. The medium salsa isn't that spicy if you have a spice tolerance. The hot salsa is more hot than flavorful. Food is made quickly and service is friendly.

This is the food spot we eat at the most hands down. At least 2-4 times a month. I love the food. Their Tinga is sooo good. I ordered a side of their rice the other day (because I love it in my burritos) and oh my gosh that was amazing. But the staff don't even fill up my cup full of rice . It was only like 80% full. Felt like I got ripped off a bit, for the cost. I also really wish they would look into adding more menu options. We need queso here, I bet they could make an amazing queso. I also wish they had a salsa specifically for chips. Their sauces/salsas are great, but only on food. Not great with chips. Overall - still great. Go eat here. Service is slower than before. Prices have gone up. Wish they had queso and a salsa for chips specifically. Wish I got a full cup of rice when I order a side of rice, considering how expensive the rice is.

I would recommend dining in so you get to experience it right out of the fryer. The best part of the meal was definitely the breading on the fish. It was crispy and airy with each bite and the coating was evenly distributed. They do give you an option for standard fries or waffle, so I thought I would try out the waffle. I would go with standard fries next time since I do not think that the waffle made that much of a difference. The side of coleslaw was good. No notes.

We had the clams, waffle fries, regular fries, cod, and halibut. I basically have no complaints about anything. We also had the tartar sauce and MN sauce. If I were to go again, I would just get the waffle fries. They are better than the regular fries. The MN sauce was a nice change in flavor, but the real star of the show is the tartar sauce, and that is what we used the most. The fish was great. The batter was amazing and it wasn't overly battered. My wife and I both agreed that the halibut is probably not worth the extra cost. When we go again, we will likely just get cod, or maybe walleye. Service was nice. It seems to be a family-owned restaurant and they seem to run it well. Overall, this is really just an amazing place. It is very expensive, but I was expecting that for fish so I was mentally prepared. I believe we spent about $50 for everything, which is definitely a pretty penny, but again we were prepared and knew the halibut was a premium. I would highly recommend checking them out. I am planning to go back!
