Classic fast food. You make the call. The kids that work it are always learning, so be patient. Always busy.

The food is really good. Normally, the order is correct. However, if not, they're great about apologizing & correcting it!

I kicked off the evening with the Black Margarita--a berry-flavored twist on the classic--which, unfortunately, reminded me more of cough syrup than a cocktail. As usual, we started with choriqueso, though this version was overwhelmingly queso with just a small amount of chorizo. My husband ordered the Quesabirria Tacos and enjoyed them, while I opted for the beer-battered shrimp tacos--admittedly a bold choice for someone who usually avoids seafood unless I'm near the coast. I'll be sticking to that rule from now on, especially after dealing with some stomach discomfort later that night. While the restaurant clearly has a strong reputation and many enticing options, our first visit didn't quite live up to the hype. Prices leaned toward the higher end, and oddly, a server who wasn't even assigned to our table ended up being more attentive than our actual one. That said, the restaurant was busy, and both food and drinks arrived in a timely manner. The ambiance gives off a more upscale, modern Mexican vibe, but personally, I'll always prefer the flavors and value of a traditional Mexican spot over something that feels overpriced and underwhelming.

This was one of the worst fast-food experiences I've ever had…read more I ordered 20 crunchy tacos and the new chicken burrito, totaling $28. The tacos barely had any meat in them, so little that my kids immediately complained. The burrito was even worse. The chicken was completely inedible, to the point where I couldn't even finish it. When I picked up my order at the window, the employees were extremely unprofessional. The food was half-wrapped, causing items to fall out of the packaging, which is unacceptable. What really concerns me is that I believe I was given someone else's food. They asked me if I was "Lisa", I'm not. That alone raises serious concerns about order accuracy and food handling. Given how bad the chicken burrito was, this feels like a major red flag. Overall, this was a horrible experience from start to finish, poor food quality, sloppy packaging, and unprofessional staff. I will not be returning, and I plan to report this location to the health department.

When we ended up getting our food, we were not only missing items, but the food was cold. We then went inside to get our food remade. And we waited another 20 mins in the lobby, along with a bunch of other customers that were also waiting. We only got 4 burritos and a taco. Some customers that came in after me, got their food before my food was even remade. After waiting another 5-10 mins and an increasing lobby queue, they hadn't even STARTED on remaking my food, so I asked for a refund and left. Drove by around 9:30 again tonight, and I saw a line of cars waiting in the parking lot for their food, AND a crap ton of people waiting in the lobby. I understand being understaffed, but I have NEVER had issues with this Taco Bell before... until now. They normally pop out food like it's nothing (super efficient and quick). I don't know if there was no management there today or if the employees didn't care, but this is unacceptable.

Husband had the pork chops ($16.99) you can choose 2 sides and if you like, they'll make them BBQ Or Cajun. He chose Cajun. There were two giant pork chops on the plate. He said they were thick & juicy, and perfectly cooked. Definitely pleased. I chose the Smothered Monterey Jack chicken ($15.99) with broccoli & garlic mashed potatoes. The breast was small, but VERY tasty! Covered in cheese, sautéed onions & mushrooms. The garlic mashed potatoes were good too! Our service was good and the manger came around to see how we were doing. I noticed he visited several tables to see if everyone was happy. Overall a very good visit and we'll be back. The four stars is because they have several burger, chicken, & specialty sandwich options, that sound wonderful, but they only come with chips. If you want fries or onion rings, you have to pay $2.79 extra, on a burger that is already $12. Plus extra .79 cents for "deluxe," Which includes, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and pickle. I feel like (with all the many restaurants that offer combos) this is a little disappointing. We will still return, because what we had was very good. But if we want a burger or hot sandwich, we will go somewhere that offers side options, included in the meal.

The sweet lady at the window kept saying "they" as she was talking, so I doubt it was the owner. She said because they open up later in the morning, they discontinued breakfast service. It's just pastries and regular coffee. No speciality drinks. No tea. Just coffee. I'm a huge fan of homemade pastries so I tried two - the cinnamon roll and pound cake. She heated the cinnamon roll in the microwave and it came out ooey gooey and delicious looking. Taste wasn't what I'm used to getting from the mall food court, but it was good. My issue was the texture. I think the microwave made it tough. I was super excited about the pound cake.... but I was disappointed to see that it was actually "coffee cake". The swirl, spices, crumb topping were a dead giveaway. But I like coffee cake too, so I took a bite. Further disappointment followed...it tasted freezer burned. Each pastry was $1...which was delightful to hear. I wish I had enjoyed them a bit more, though. I hoping it was just an off day. I'm gonna try it again, one day.

But they needed me to help cover this run to Ohio, and I always jump at the chance to be alone in the truck cab, listening to good music, audiobooks and utilizing CarPlay to connect with people. Needless to say, when I got back to Indy around 3:00pm, I was starving. I was thankful that this Jersey Mike's opened up in this area about a year ago. I have visited this location a few times. I think the first time was just after they opened and I was headed to the Limp Bizkit show. (Note: probably one of the oddest shows I've ever been to. Plus: Corey Feldman! But Fred Durst killed it. And he stood on the stage after the show just soaking it all in and appreciating everyone who was there, waving and signing autographs. You could tell he didn't want to leave the stage. It was cool to see.) Anyway, it was a little hectic that first time I visited Jersey Mike's only being open a couple weeks and the manager was there coaching his team. I enjoyed witnessing that. Each time I've visited, the staff is very kind and helpful. They help you through the process and make sure your sandwich is made to perfection. Usually I like cold subs, bud I got the Big Kahuna Chicken Cheese (#55). Delicious. Fast forward to this evening (because I forgot to post this review earlier this week until I realized it was sitting in my Notes app. Oops!). My son had a golf match in Anderson, so we stopped in at Jersey Mike's. I went with the #55 once again. Still delicious with grilled chicken, onions, peppers and mushrooms with jalapeños. Shut the front door! The place is always clean and the staff were super patient with my daughters who wanted to order for themselves (which also included a ton of questions!).
