My friends and I over the years have had mixed experiences at Uncanny King of Prussia. It was not…read moreactually a comic shop, but a pop culture shop with a weak selection of comics. I visited here in late summer 2021 and found positive changes, including more focus on comics. When I was traveling back through the area again, I didn't hesitate to stop in with a friend and see how it was going. That was a mistake. Uncanny had to move again to another location in the mall over by Nordstrom. Shop's exterior and interior looks nice, not sure they did the work or the previous tenant did. Space is divided into three rooms. The main area has graphic novels, another houses new pull comics, and a final room is full of longboxes. Except...there's a barricade to the longbox room. My friend was confused and asked about it as we primarily came here for the longboxes. Even after being located here for a month, they don't have them ready. This is unacceptable and I felt bad for the employee, who probably had to tell this to more than one customer. For being in a prestigious location, the King of Prussia Mall, this shop lacks a lot of what it should and most of that is direction. I recommend Showcase Comics and Games in Bryn Mawr and Brave New Worlds in Willow Grove for shops that are well stocked, stable, and reliable.

Great comic shop in an unconventional location…read more Uncanny! is the first comic book store I've ever seen in a mall. The King of Prussia Mall is a massive shopping center, but lacked many of the nerdier stores such as Hot Topic, Box Lunch, and Spencers establishments where I can buy cool shirts, figures, and other geeky merch. Uncanny! fills that niche beautifully while also delivering on the experiences I expect from my local comic shop. Uncanny! isn't the largest store, but it makes up for it with excellent space usage. Products are organized neatly into sections from clothes to comics to games. The comic sections are further divided into recent comics, graphic novels, kid comics, and back issues (old/out of print comics). The store is well kept and clean, and the colorful decor makes it feel alive, even when there is no one else shopping. If you are a die-hard collector, you might be disappointed due to the limited availability of items. As mentioned, space is limited, so you might not find some of your old collector issues or rare figurines. But you will find most everything new. If you are looking for something, call ahead. The people here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are fair, except for the odd retail-exclusive comics that are a bit higher priced than what I've seen in other comic stores. They also offer a loyalty program. Spend X-money, get Y-gift cards. It's pretty simple, free to sign up, and has no expiration. So it's worth your time if you come to the mall every month or so. If you're looking for a gift for that nerdy someone, or just want to pick up the latest DC or Marvel comic, Uncanny! is a fun little stop in your mall shopping experience.

Mazz Comics & Collectibles is an interesting shop. It's easy to find and parking is on the street…read more As a comics shop, they only have new pull comics. Normally, that would not be enough for me to review a shop. Mazz however has the largest selection of Pop Vinyl's I've seen in roughly two years. Selection is huge and they have something for everyone. They also have rare and autographed Pop's. The selection of other toys is fair. Shop had several staff working that day who were helpful. They have a few minor issues, however. It's not the most organized in some areas, with boxes full of pops waiting to be put on shelves. I would prefer if prices were marked on the pops because you have to ask them for a price and they look it up. If this was a comics shop, I would have walked out instead of buying, but the selection of Pop's was good enough to allow for this issue to be ignored. Are you going to get the best deal here? Probably not. Is it worth checking out for the huge pop selection? Yes.

This isn't a snoody insider shop, where an angry neckbeard will laugh at you for not knowing your Image from your Darkhorse. These folks are happy to help anybody with their first venture into comics, or will kindly leave the veterans to browse. They will set up a pull-list for you, if you want to keep up to date on the latest issues, which is even easier and more convenient to do from home if you use Facebook or Instagram. Just follow their posts and comment on their new release postings to pre-order anything in advance. And my favorite Sunday activity is following their weekly "Claims," where they feature new-to-the-store key issues and bundles at great deals. It's also a great spot for Free Comic Book Day and Halloween. They have some back issues, including some nice expensive finds on the wall and behind the glass, but since it's not the biggest shop in the world, you could probably look elsewhere for that. The customer service and atmosphere is what I come for, though, so it's my first and primary destination for new books.

Lucky Duck Toys has proved to be an awesome exception! Let's be clear, I'm still not done my holiday shopping for my nieces and nephews. That is on me and Lucky Duck Toys cannot help that one. What Lucky Duck Toys did help with were the toy portion of their gifts. Walking around the store gave me tons of great ideas and a few purchases. I'm not sure if it is just a holiday thing or year-round, but after purchase I was provided with free gift wrapping. And I mean legit wrapping with ribbon on top - that ain't happening on-line that is for sure. I'll certainly be back for more toys this time next year, if not sooner for birthdays!

Something felt off with the total so I reviewed my receipt immediately upon exiting the store and I caught the error. I immediately went back in and showed the cashier my receipt and the price tag on the item and requested I be charged what was marked on the price tag. The cashier went and checked with someone in the back whom I assume was a manager of sorts. I was told that the prices were put on earlier today and that the "new" employee must have marked it wrong so they would not honor the price tag. I am so confused and shocked. I cannot believe a company would pass along their admitted error to the consumer? Not to mention, a violation of the weights and measurements regulations in PA, and throwing their new employee under the bus to boot? Terrible, short-sighted business practice. I am local to Bryn Mawr with 4 young children, and this was my go to for children's gifts for all occasions. I will never shop here again.

My grandson liked the posters on the walls. We took home information about their regular Magic games as my son has gotten back into playing. If you're looking for a specific game, it's best to ask for help, so the one my grandson wanted to take home and play some more was waiting for us when we were ready to check out. We will be back!

They are growing (still growing) company that cares about the community. I have met the owner and seen his vision. He is there from time to time and interacts with his patrons. The staff is really friendly. Now the only downside is the current location. I was there and didn't have a spot to play on a Friday night but that isn't the stores fault. Everyone had their own little groups and pods so as someone who is alone I feel out of place and had to sit at the cafe. The bright side is they are moving to a bigger location if I heard that right so I am excited for the team and company. To sum up the location it's a place you can play video games.
