For Atlanta, I thought Culinary Dropout was OK. The food was OK to good, the service could've been better, and the atmosphere was fun. This is a contemporary American restaurant and bar. Culinary Dropout is a restaurant chain from Fox Restaurant Concepts. Atlantans may be familiar with some of Fox's other brands like Flower Child and Zinburger (all Georgia locations of Zinburger are now closed). This location of Culinary Dropout opened in November 2023 at the Brickworks development in the Marietta Street Artery of West Midtown. Same building as Food Terminal. Culinary Dropout is in the space previously occupied by the last location of 5 Seasons Brewing. That location of 5 Seasons closed in February 2019. For years, during the pandemic and after, the space sat empty until Culinary Dropout revived it. A second Atlanta location of Culinary Dropout opened in February 2024 at Ashford Lane in Dunwoody (Perimeter). When we visited, plenty of parking was available atop the Brickworks roof. Culinary Dropout has two floors of bars and dining. There's both an entrance on the rooftop - conveniently connected to the rooftop parking lot - and an entrance on the street. On their website and on OpenTable, Culinary Dropout says they validate parking for the first 2 hours. Scan the QR code at the hostess stand to validate. The parking confirmation I got on my phone from ParkWhiz actually gave me free parking for 2.5 hours. Also, we stayed for closer to 3 hours and I wasn't charged anything for the overage. This was on a Friday from 6:30pm to after 9:15pm. Book your reservation using OpenTable and earn dining points which can be used to redeem restaurant discounts, Amazon gift cards, hotel stays, and magazine subscriptions. Culinary Dropout awards points - not all restaurants on OpenTable do - so that's a plus. Happy hour is Monday-Friday, 3pm-6pm, and brunch hours are Saturday-Sunday, 10am-3pm. The restaurant is spacious with a wide variety of seating options and several TVs (but not as many as a sports bar). Upstairs and downstairs, there are bars, different dining rooms/spaces, and patios. Upstairs is the rooftop patio. Downstairs is the big bar and Marietta Street patio. We dined in one of the back dining rooms downstairs, in a wide booth next to windows that looked into the kitchen. During our visit, business downstairs was kind of slow. However, when we exited upstairs, the upstairs bar area looked pretty happening. My wife and I like the interior design and decor, which is amusing, stylish, and eclectic. Walls contain images of pop culture icons like Pink and Post Malone. Below is a list of what we ordered. It should give you a good idea of the kind of food Culinary Dropout offers and how much it costs. Starters * Soft Pretzels & Provolone Fondue ($16) - sea salt * Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket ($17) - honey mustard creme fraiche * Hot Wings ($17.50) - buffalo sauce, honey mustard seed, shaved carrots & celery * White Truffle Deviled Eggs ($11) - crispy prosciutto, chive Salads * Chopped Chicken Salad ($19) - avocado, bacon, heirloom tomato, white cheddar, deviled egg, bacon BBQ ranch Entrees * 36-Hour Pork Ribs ($30.50) - jalapeno, molasses, fries * Fried Chicken ($24) - buttermilk biscuit, smashed potato, gravy * Beer Battered Fish & Chips ($21) - coleslaw, tartar sauce Zero Proof * Juicy Watermelon Spritz ($8) - fresh-pressed lemon, smashed watermelon, sparkling coconut water Overall, the food wasn't bad. My favorite item was the Fried Chicken. It came with four pieces and we got our choice of how many were white and dark meat. We got all dark. The chicken was pretty much seasoned and fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and flavorful all around. For the Fried Chicken specifically, the menu says, "be patient - it's worth it!" We didn't wait any longer than a normal dish and it was indeed worth it. Quality fried chicken. Our least favorite item was the Chopped Chicken Salad. It wasn't bad, it was just drowning in dressing. The ingredients were fresh enough, though. All of us liked the Soft Pretzels & Provolone Fondue and Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket. While the pretzels (not the cheese sauce) were salty, the texture was terrific. Not too soft and not too hard - an appetizing chew. If the menu didn't say the pigs in a blanket were "Wagyu," I don't think any of us would've been able to tell the difference. Regardless, they were tasty. The rest of the dishes were fine. Pretty standard. Again, nothing was bad, but nothing blew us away either. The 36-Hour Pork Ribs were solid. They had good smoky flavor and tang, and were nice and tender -- not fall-off-the-bone, but a bit chewier. The Hot Wings, White Truffle Deviled Eggs, and Beer Battered Fish & Chips were all par for the course. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those. The Juicy Watermelon Spritz mocktail was refreshing and delicious. Our server was friendly, but forgot to bring us a lot of things after saying she would.
We were not impressed with the food. We started with the truffle deviled eggs, but could not taste, or smell any truffle. My wife's turkey sandwich was just ok. As for my fish and chips, they were very greasy. The coleslaw that came with my meal was so salty, it was not edible. I sent it back, but it never returned. I figured that they would bring me something else. The service was good. We will not return.
Nice and spacious with indoor, patio, and rooftop seating. A good mixture of restaurant style with the ambiance and TV's for a bar feel (along with bar seating). Limited brunch items of breakfast style with more lunch style items. Food was good with our party mainly having the fried chicken, ribs and pizza. They advise of it taking a while for the chicken and it is true. Nice variety of drinks to include mocktails. Free/validated parking with two lots offering plenty of spaces but be advised it is a shared lot with other establishments. Service was awesome!! The hostess, Camille, our server Vita and most important Art who made our visit the best. If Art is not a manager he should be.
The service was incredible. The receptionist was very nice and immediately took us to our table for 8. The manager greeted us and stopped by multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Anyone who worked there that passed your table stopped and spoked to you. Everyone in our party talked about how great they made us feel. The cocktails were good. They make there ginger agave syrup in house and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The food was ok. I was super excited to try the pretzels and cheese. Personally, the fondue was a little thick for me but did taste good. We were not a big fan of the waygu pigs in a blanket. The ribs did fall off the bone like they said and their fries were great. My salad was way too salty. The place has a great vibe and the live music was very relaxing. They have a bathroom for everyone (men, women, gender neutral). Plenty of parking.
Went for happy hour and the service and atmosphere was fantastic. Tre was our server and he also served as the bartender. They have music playing and we can see the outside We ordered the pretzels with fondue, pork belly nachos, side salad and riblets. Everything was tasty and came out perfect. There is also a very nice outdoor rooftop searing that has a fireplace which will be perfect for fall outdoor dining.
So coming from Phoenix we were happy to try Culinary Dropout because I remember liking it in Phoenix. The ambience in Midtown is nice. The restaurant has two levels and both levels have bars as well as outdoor seating. The folks working there all look super young and are dressed in regular cloths so it was a little hard to figure out who was a staff member, initially. So the service was super slow. We had a reservation for 6:30 and didn't get our drinks until at least 20 mins later and the food arrived after 7:30pm. I ordered a margarita which I didn't like...boo. It tasted like pure homemade sour mix but my partner didn't mind switching with me so I had his Evil Jungle Princess drink which was sooo tasty!!! We probably would have had a second round but like I mentioned...slow service. The food was a 10 out of 10!!! We didn't even have some of the fancier options. We shared the turkey pastrami sandwich and the mushroom pizza. What they did with that pizza...divine! Pastrami...delicious! I hope the staff gets it together with the turnaround but either way, we will def be back! Oh and they had live music too, which was a nice touch. Would love to see diff performers. Pros: food, drinks, parking validation, did I mention the food?! Music Cons: slow service
We arrived 8 pm on a Friday. The place was empty and there was no hostess in sight. After waiting 10 minutes at the door, we walked over to the bar. The bartender eventually acknowledged us after another 5 minutes and went to find the hostess, then we were seated. Our table had a great location, right next to the railing overlooking the street with candle light, nice. The food was not so nice. The feta dip was okay, the steak frites, dry overcooked, the ribs, just horrible, sugary ketchup mess. Do not order. The kale salad was mid at best. Not impressed by the food or the service. Not really sure why this place gets such high praise. We will not be returning.
Maybe they need to drop back in!!! I wanted to like this place sooooo bad, I like the name and the location, the vibe was definitely nice for date night but the food was completely off. I didn't really try the pizza because of the pork, but my date didn't even finish it, he said that it was terrible. The shrimp and zucchini fries were super greasy and over seasoned. The smoked salmon dip was just completely over done, and you also have to buy separate bread to enjoy the dip. The restaurant was not crowded, yet it took a while for a waitress to come over and afterwards it took a whole hour to get our food , the waitress was really sweet and brought over some deviled eggs for our inconvenience and they were bland. No return visit for us!
I have gone to Culinary Dropout three times now and been to this particular location twice. I've gone for both brunch and dinner, as well as sat on the rooftop and in the main dining area downstairs. This particular time we went for Mother's Day and our waiter was very accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of. Too bad it was his last day, but he really made sure we were good. He was able to provide recommendations as well as keep us informed about our food as it did take some time to receive, but I appreciate him communicating with us. One of the managers also came over to make sure that we were okay and informed us about our food as well so the service was definitely great. So let's get into the food. We really enjoyed everything we had and like I said, I've been a number of times and tried something different every time and have still been very pleased with the food. We got the appetizer and it was actually very good. We really enjoyed the strawberries which helped balance the saltiness from the feta. All components paired well together. The bread was nice and toasted well so it was definitely a delicious bite. We got the fish and chips, the fried chicken, the chicken cacio e pepe (which is a new menu item), and the salmon with the Farro. Everyone really enjoyed their dishes. They also have amazing drinks. We were going hoping to get the sweater weather sangria, which is what we got the last time we went for brunch. They change out their menu occasionally to different seasonal options so we got the watermelon sangria, and it actually was delicious as well so again didn't disappoint. You can't go wrong with anything here as it's just a nice chill vibe, there are great appetizers and food options, as well as the drinks are great.
I absolutely enjoyed this restaurant. We searched Yelp while visiting Atlanta and we decided we'd try something different. We reserved a table for an early evening dinner the day of. I was new to this location so I ended up paying for parking...however when you enter the restaurant there is a QR code for validation...so just an FYI, don't pay right away. Scan the code upon arrival for parking. Have your vehicle info handy. We were immediately greeted at the door seated upon arrival. Everyone was kind and made sure we were well informed on menu options. One of the managers also pitched in to check on us and made sure we had a stellar dining experience. We opted for charcuterie, meat loaf, chicken katsu sandwich, and the monkey bread dessert. We enjoyed everything except the bread ordered with the appetizers. It was pretty hard, but it was simply a matter of preference. Overall we enjoyed out meal And the dining experience itself. It was a peaceful outing, not a lot of noise, and we received amazing service.
I came by here to stop by and grab food with a group of friends and overall really liked this place! We had about 10 people in our group and were seated at a big table. They do have happy hour specials until 6pm with drink and food items. I decided to go with the chicken pasta off of their main menu after seeing the reviews and absolutely loved it! The pesto was delicious and I loved the fried capers that added a good crunch to the dish. My friends also loved the items they got as well. They have plenty of seating inside and outside and a bar area as well which seems ideal for happy hour. I also loved that they had a plenty of parking available above the restaurant and were able to validate 2 hours for free! Just make sure to ask for the code at the hostess desk before paying.
Great cocktails, great rooftop, great location. Location and Parking Located in Midtown, parking is validated in the lot next to the building. Venue and Atmosphere We sat on the rooftop, which was lovely. A large stone fireplace warms the entire roof, but we had a heat lamp as well since it was a breezy night. We observed lovely sunset views of Midtown. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages I really enjoyed the autumn sangria, set off with a hint of apple cider. The chef's selection charcuterie board was delicious. The fish and chips were decent, not the best I've had in ATL but I ate them. The fries could've been seasoned better and weren't very crunchy. The fish batter lacked flavor but the texture was right. Verdict Overall I would return for a cocktail and rooftop views, but I'll skip the food next time.
This spot has been on my list to try out for some time. My sister was in town and we needed a spot for Sunday brunch. I was like let's try Culinary Dropout since neither of us had been previously. Finding this spot was a little challenging for us. GPS said we had arrived and had us turn into the brick works plaza where sling shot is located. I called the restaurant and was told to take the stairs up go right and then follow the signs for Culinary Dropout. Let's just say it took us trying to get into 3 doors prior to getting to the correct entrance door! We were pretty pitiful. When we walked in there were about 4 staff standing at the host stand. We were quickly seated towards the back of the restaurant. The first thing I noted is that this place is MASSIVE!! They have a large amount of seating options. Our wait staff came over with glasses of water and walked away. She did not ask if we had any questions or go over the menu. She came back and asked if we wanted to place drink orders. We were going to order brunch food given that it was around 11:30am. As such, I needed coffee. I could not find it on the menu but our wait staff said they do have it. I ordered a cup. It was average at best and cost around $5. Not worth it to me. Price point should be more like 2.99 or 3.99 max. Our waiter attempted to walk away again after dropping the coffee off but we told her we were ready to place our orders. We needed to make sure we had ample time to enjoy our food because my sister had a flight she needed to catch. I ordered the southwest breakfast bowl and my sister opted for the house smoked salmon. Now this is why the one point was taken away! It took what felt like forever for the food to come out. Both dishes are so basic that I honestly don't know what took so long. When we first arrived there were only about 5 other tables with guest. It took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive after placing our order. As such, i would NOT recommend coming here if your time is limited. When the food finally arrived we were both impressed with what was received. My sister's only area of concern was the small portion of salmon received along with only having 1 egg. The meal came with 4 slices of toast so the portion of salmon and egg to bread was off. I did try her Toast, a tomatoes and the onion dip-- sooo good. The tomatoes were a treat by themselves! My bowl was full of flavor and I thought the portion size was generous. Overall, love the ambience of this spot, food was amazing, with service needing a little work. I am going to give these guys another shot. Looking forward to trying items from the main menu on my next stop in.
Excellent service!!!! Excellent GLUTEN FREE EXPERIENCE. The staff made suggestions and verified my sensitivity then verified again with the kitchen. The Salmon with Asparagus and French Fries was extraordinary!!! To make the experience even better...soft serve salted caramel ice cream with chocolate syrup!!! The French fries were so delicious and cooked separate...such a delicious treat!!! read more
So I have kind of mixed reviews. I was with a large party and I would say that the restaurant is modern up-to-date and the service was actually excellent. I can't complain about any of that. However, I ordered the fried chicken which is supposed to be one of their specialties and I really wasn't impressed. So I probably give that a three and give the customer service a five so that's how we end up withan overall ratting of four. We did have a large party so I would say that they were very good and attentive. The food was always hot and fresh for everybody and the people in my party did enjoy many of their meals especially the shrimp fried rice. Overall, I'd go back but I'd probably try something different just to get a feel some of their other dishes. read more
The one thing I wish I knew was don't pay for parking in the lot, once you're in the restaurant, there is a QR code for 2 hours free parking. Anyways, came here on a Tuesday evening around 6pm and was pretty dead inside. They did not have upstairs open and apparently only have it open on Fridays and Saturdays due to the other days of the week being too slow to justify to open. Other photos make that upstairs area very enjoyable, so may need to come back another day. Some other parties trickled in while we were there, but would never have been a wait. The front on the restaurant has the bar and brighter and the back is darker and was great for a date. Our waitress was very nice. Gave quite the spiel on what she liked on the menu in each category. She did forget a soda we ordered with our apps and had to remind her when she came back for entree orders. She also brought and charged for a 20oz beer when a 16oz was ordered. The pretzel bites I would not do again as they were quite large with a thick chewy crust to them. The ribs and steak were excellent! Fries were great too. We didn't make any substitutions to our order as we aren't picky people, but the table next to us sure did and they seemed to be very accommodating including substituting out coleslaw for mac n cheese and an arugula salad for a Cesar salad. Maybe try your luck if looking to change your order up a bit. Overall, had a very good experience. Would definitely come back for the food and sit upstairs / outside based on other photos as we love enjoying our meals outside. read more

We came to Culinary Dropout for a casual girls dinner and we were not disappointed! Roman was our server and he was incredible and made sure we were taken care of all night. The food was delicious (highlight was the soft pretzel bites with the fondue) and every entree we got we loved. The restaurant was clean and they had a rooftop as well but we didn't get to see it because it was raining. Would highly recommend for a dinner with friends or a casual date night anytime! :) read more

We decided to try Culinary Dropout last minute and I'm glad we did. The service was a tad slow, but the food and ambience made up for it. Our waiter was great, she was friendly and made wonderful suggestions. I'll be back to try more with my family. read more

Omg! So I'm usually I'm not a brunch or breakfast person but I do it for the camaraderie, but I feel like I've found my new brunch spot. We ordered the popcorn shrimp and my brunch mate ordered the chicken biscuit and it was all really tasty. However, the sausage, bacon and egg pizza.... Had me floored. I had to stop myself from making noises at the table. It was sooooo good, and now whenever I go to brunch I only want this dish. S/o to the whoever came up with the alfredo combo to accompany the pizza and toppings. Y'all did your thing. I had mimosas which were tasty. I like the vibe. It was bright, a little rustic, but modern with cool art. My waiter, Danielle, was super sweet and gave me recommendations. read more

Food and drinks were pretty good. I got the chicken chopped salad and the room service to drink. My friends ordered the vegan curry and the steak frites. Of all our dishes I surprisingly have to say I enjoyed the vegan curry the most but all were good. I got the Korean rib cap to go. It was spicy and for the price ($33) I thought it should at least come with a side. Ambience is nice but casual and there is a lot of space. read more

I came here for a work happy hour event that my job hosted and I must say that I enjoyed myself ! We met on a Thursday evening at around 5pm and it seemed to be before the dinner rush because there weren't many people there. Our group started off at the bar downstairs. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating. This is where I ordered my appetizer and a mocktail. For my appetizer, I chose the popcorn shrimp. The batter was delicious and the shrimp tasted fresh. It came at the perfect temperature. The dipping sauce was an aioli thats was perfectly salty and creamy. My mocktail was absolutely delicious! I ordered the juicy watermelon spritz. There was a nice balance between sweet, tart, and bubbly. We went to the rooftop patio for entrees where we caught a nice breeze as the sunset. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Cacio e Pepe. I was slightly disappointed because the chicken seemed over cooked and chewy. The noodles and sauce were okay. It was very creamy and slightly salty. read more
A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. This place had been in my bookmarks for quite sometime and I finally got the chance to go. The restaurant is beautiful. The service from our waiter Saaghir was top tier, and the food was five stars all the way! For starters was the crusty bread kind of a mixture of sweet salty freshly charred garlic bread. We were torn on what on what to order so we decided to split the meal. The lady ordered the turkey and pastrami sandwich which was starred as a crowd favorite on the menu, and the star was well deserved because the sandwich was fabulous. She also ordered yesterday's soup which I did not try but got two thumbs up. I ordered the pizza of course. New York style pizza will always and forever be my favorite but this runs a very close second. It was like a personal pan pizza but bigger. The crust was thick buttery and very flavorful. Next time I go here no matter what I order I will take one to go because leftovers wasn't enough. The drinks were a little light but that's ok because we came to eat! This place is ABSOLUTELY date night approved! Fellas if she thinks she's to good to go to "the cheesecake place" then take her here! Trust me we ordered everything I mentioned above plus a round of drinks and I came out with $100 exactly AFTER leaving a $25 tip! Pro tip: Park in the brick works parking deck and don't pay immediately like I did. The Culinary Dropout offers complimentary 2hour parking. There's a scan code at the reception desk as soon as you enter. ENJOY read more

Our huge party for our alumni chapter had had an amazing time at this Culinary Dropout!! When I tell you the manager Kylie, and Kendra from her team are so attentive and efficient, truly. The way they worked with our large party/rooftop rental was just a great example of how a hospitality team should be run. I used to create hospitality programs for huge restaurant chains, I've seen excellence from the top chains; today's team was simply amazing. It takes a lot for me to say that about any dining experience and the team leadership and service today certainly warranted it, and well that's just the beginning, the food tasted so good! The chicken wings and the pretzel sliders were delicious and we all raved about the squash pasta, oh my gosh it was so good!! It was also kept hot yet never allowed to dry out in the hot bar buffet set up for out group. Honestly everything tasted amazing. The food kept coming out hot and in wonderful portions. We were very pleasantly surprised at how truly great *everything* tasted even though they had to make it for such a large party. The cherry on the top was that the drinks were also amazing. If you are questioning or wondering where to go for an awesome social event, I can't recommend choosing this Culinary Dropout location enough and if you are fortunate, you will come when Kylie and Kendra are working. read more

Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to share such an…
TL;DR: Food for brunch was GREAT and accommodations are welcomed, but the floors are really sticky... ARRIVAL: Made a reservation for bunch on a Saturday at 11 pretty far out, but was surprised when the restaurant was completely empty except for one other larger party and 1 other couple. I checked in for our reservation and we had to wait around 2-3 mins just standing there and I'm not sure why. They confirmed my name so they definitely had the reservation but had some other issues they didn't disclose, so we were just standing there waiting after that. AMBIANCE: The space is really open with a pretty big bar near the entrance. It can have a comfortable, industrial or sexy feel to it depending where you're seated. They do have a rooftop bar, but since it was cold we didn't reserve a table in that area but I'd expect it to be on the same caliber. With the bar situated between tables and overhead tables showing the game, it could be a great spot for first date drinks. I believe there's also a smaller bar on the rooftop? MENU: The menu is a little limited if you want to stick with strictly 'brunch' items, but the menu includes the lunch offerings as well, so there's a lot of choices. I think everyone could find something they like here. DRINKS: Our table stuck with water, but I love that they have mocktails and cocktails available and I'll definitely try something the next time I go. FOOD: I ordered the smokehouse hash and it was....AMAZING. I kept looking around at my friend who also ordered it because I was expecting her to be surprised by how good it was. I was genuinely shocked by how good it was. With breakfast meats, it's very easy to get overly salty, but this wasn't at all. The potatoes were also fully cooked which is something most places don't execute well. The flavors of the entire dish combined were genuinely good. I only ate it with about 1/4th of the tortilla because I honestly forgot about it, but it went well together. The amount of food is also pretty generous. I was able to finish it all but was pretty full. One of my friends had come before and got the shaved prime rib dip and liked it so much last time she decided to get it again! CLEANLINESS: The floor was SO STICKY. From waiting near the front hostess area, to walking back, the floor was so sticky. Other than that, the seats and tables were all very clean and spotless which was much appreciated! SERVICE: When we were ordering, the server was super nice about making accommodations to fit into dietary needs. She was knowledgeable about which ingredients were in it and confident in the options and did not make anyone feel bad about requesting changes. She didn't check up on us too much but was around when we needed her. We stayed around for a while chatting and ran out of water, but I think she was expecting we'd be getting ready to leave so she didn't come back for a last refill of waters. EXPERIENCE: Overall, we came for a chill brunch and to catch up after not having gotten together as group for a while, and we were able to do that over good food and didn't feel like we were taking up space because it was a slow Saturday. PRICE: On par or even slightly less than other popular brunch spots, but totally worth it! OVERALL: Can't wait to come back and try more things as the food was just that good. I think it's a great and safe spot to take a date or have a slightly more than casual dinner because the ambiance really brings it up a notch. read more

A place that seems to have put more work into their concept design than their food or service. The servers had a casual dress code and all wore fanny packs, which is an interesting choice that fits the place's ambiance; though it also made it hard to distinguish staff from customers, which was a bit annoying. They also had two open front doors with only one next to a reception desk, and I got confused at where to go when I entered through the wrong door. The pork ribs' texture taste like they were fried rather than baked, having less caramelization and more straightforwardly crisp skin. It wasn't bad, only a bit dry at times, and was just the right amount to make me full. The side coleslaw and fries however didn't taste really good. read more

I cannot wait to come back and try their dinner. I came for brunch and had an amazing experience. All of the staff are friendly and want to ensure you have a great time with them. The interior is gorgeous. It's the perfect use of an industrial space. The green velvet ties it all together, as well as the view into the kitchen. The upstairs rooftop area was more intimate but still just as nicely put together. Drinks: coffee was well balanced and presentation was super cute with its own little teacup plate. The tropical princess is a super refreshing non alcoholic drink - not too sweet and not too tart. Would definitely order both again! Food: The slicer aka chefs choice charcuterie board was the star of the show. It could have had more bread to enjoy the various accoutrements but every aspect of the board was delicious. They have the best deviled eggs I've had so far in ATL!! Incredibly creamy and served nice and chilled. The breakfast pizza was very rich - I probably wouldn't get this one again only because I am not a personal fan of this much cheese/cream but if you are a fan, you'll love it! Their biscuits are to die for - fluffy and buttery. Their fried chicken was crispy on the outside, intensely seasoned, and juicy on the inside. Their old bay gravy is definitely different - more tangy than one would expect in a gravy. Overall, I am so excited for a brunch spot in ATL that doesn't try to be a nightclub or charge up the wall just for aesthetic - they have hit the nail on the head with this concept. Classy but not stuffy, expertly executed food and drink menus, I couldn't ask for more honestly. I haven't had a brunch this enjoyable in the city in a long time. read more

I liked it so much I came back twice. My second visit to CD was great. From the time I arrived on a Tuesday evening, my party of 2 was greeted warmly and sat promptly. My first visit was just a bad day and CD has been redeemed. I 100% will be back and suggest to others. This time around I tried new food items and I needed to be rolled out. The highlight of the night were the wings. They were amazing! Full stop. Order them. I am tempted to order them on a random night as takeout. The sweet, spicy, savory, crispy wings with sliced radishes and celery bits is nothing like ive had in the city. The Fried Chicken looks like an old school KFC chicken plate from the mash potatoes to the biscuit but my gawd.. that is some of the best chicken on the westside of the city. The Steak Frites was good. It's wasn't bad at all but compared to the other items enjoyed, it was regular. The cocktails are great. Well made and classy. All in all, I absolutely recommend. I have had less than 5 star reviews this year. read more

Finally, another good hangout spot in the neighborhood! I had the pleasure of attending the soft opening for this new restaurant in the city and it did not disappoint! The space is really pretty and gives off a casual-chic neighborhood bar vibe. We ordered the Antipasti (with Hot Coppa, Aged Manchego, and the Prosciutto Deviled Eggs), the Steak Frites, and the Korean Style Ribeye Cap to eat. For cocktails we got the Paloma Spritz, El Matador, Campfire Vibes, Peaches & Rye, and the Signature Old Fashioned. For dessert we ordered the Monkey Bread and the Caramelized Banana Bar. Ok, let me tell you that EVERYTHING was delicious! The appetizers and entrées had beautiful presentation, the cocktails were garnished well and you could taste the fresh juices and ingredients. Nothing needed improvement at the time. Jayla was our waitress and she was patient, attentive, and kind. Cherry, the manager, also stopped by often to chat with us and answer any questions we had . For that, the service alone was 4 stars! Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the food, drinks, vibe, and service here. I hope they are able to maintain the consistency once officially open, and I look forward to becoming a regular. read more

The service was attentive, helpful and enthusiastic. The restaurant is a beautiful re-do of the old Five Season's space - can't wait for the weather to allow us to linger for hours on the roof patio. The Whipped Feta and tahini dip was to die for. So good we ate 1/2 of it before we remembered to take a photo. The perfect balance of creaminess, sweetness from the caramelized squash, apples and dates, and smokiness from the grilled ciabatta! We shared the Pub Burger and they brought it to us on 2 plates, which was really nice. The flavor was sweet from the bbq sauce but salty from the bacon and the burger and fries could not have been cooked more perfectly. Parking is plentiful and very convenient, which is hard to find in this part of town. Will definitely be back! read more

I like to come here and get a quick bite to eat at times but i really have to come back and get a full meal here.. I love how the place is neatly setup. Sometimes it's a pain to drive into but that's outside the point of the food. The servers are great of course! I definitely will be back read more
The restaurant has an intriguing name for sure and the space is quite impressive. Located in West Midtown's Brickworks building, the massive space has downstairs (indoor and patio dining) and upstairs indoor and patio dining. Luckily we were able to take advantage of the phenomenal weather on a recent Saturday and enjoy the rooftop patio with amazing views. Before I get to the food let me say, the service was wonderful, and everyone was so sweet. Plus, they had live music (there's a stage for a band so I think this will be a regular thing) and the sounds were so good, many were just enjoying that with drinks. We got several apps - wings, pretzel bites with cheese sauce, brussels sprouts and popcorn shrimp. Everything was incredible and I wish I hadn't overeaten because the best was still yet to come. The four us tried four dishes - ribs, Ribeye cap, salmon and steak frites. And wow! The ribs are such a generous portion, it felt like more than a full rack - with 3 stacks of ribs. The salmon was so tender and so was the steak. I wouldn't hesitate to get any of these dishes again, but I'm definitely headed back for the Ribeye cap! Mud pie for dessert with four spoons was the perfect ending to our lovely evening. Oh plus, there is plenty of parking in the deck. read more

One thing about it, this restaurant has beautiful, funky decor and definitely provides the vibes! I absolutely loved the roof top and the live music they had going. The rooftop bar was super nice and the fire place with the big screen TVs was definitely a nice touch. The food was enjoyable. I think they are fairly new so they have some kinks to work out. I personally felt the food could have been hotter in temperature/fresher. But it wasn't terrible. The customer service was great! My waitress Camia did an excellent job, shoutout to her. She was super knowledgeable of the menu, provided great recommendations and checked in often. Overall a great experience! read more

I went here for a late lunch this past weekend. The entrance was a little tricky to find. Once inside, there were only a few tables occupied. The space is huge!! Bar seating on one side and a more lounge/restaurant style on the other side with a wall fireplace. There is also patio seating outside and a rooftop. Parking is minimal. There is a small paid lot. The restaurant sits in a busy corner on intersecting main streets. Food: -Whipped feta: 10/10 highly recommend!!! This was so good!!!! Creamy feta with the crunchy, sweet toppings slathered on the grilled bread was an insane bite. -Black truffle mushroom pizza: This was good but not as good as I expected. The creamy base was way too salty. So much so, I had to ask for some lemon slices to squeeze on each bite. The arugula on top was needed and made for a nice bite. -Caramelized: Delicious! The brûlée banana pieces on top were my favorite part. The custard was super creamy. Only downside was that the crust was hard, which made it difficult to get your fork through. Overall, good meal and great service. I look forward to going back and trying other menu items. read more

If you haven't been here for brunch, you gotta try it. Best food I've had in a while, and we do eat out often... the brunch pizza is a must! They have great options for kids too. Best cheesy scrambled eggs in Atlanta. To be extra unfair, they also have amazing service and ambience, with free parking. We loved a the Yesterday soup too. read more

This restaurant is located in West Midtown but directly next to paid parking. The host greeted us with such cheer and delight and our waitress carried that same cheerfulness through out our dining experience. I love the option to dine in or out, downstairs or upstairs. There is a wonderful fireplace situated outdoors and several TVs throughout the restaurant to keep up with your favorite sports team. The food is delicious and you can tell the chef really put a lot of thought into each meal. The fried chicken is a true winner. From the appetizers to the entrees everything my tongue tastes made me smile. I will be back again and again. read more

I give this place a 5 and here is why , Customer service was good they are very passionate and the server knows well about the cooking process of the food which is usually not common in many restaurants, his recommendations were really good and we loved drinks . Detroit Pizza Black truffle mushroom style (I LOVE IT ) every single bite was extremely tasteful, usually pizza is good and thats it but this pizza with the cheese crust and arugula made it so much better honestly it was phenomenal Pretzel Bits and Provolone Fondue was super good we love it nice starter 5 out of 5 , it was also a good portion i say it is for 4 people and we were two but we ate it all And last but not least and the best thing for me that my girlfriend ordered was the Crispy Kale Salad with butternut squash dates and a bunch of other ingredients that i can not remember ( i honestly cant recommend this salad enough) Drinks are really good , i loved the piña colada so much that i ordered 2 read more

The first of these restaurants in the southeast, apparently it originated in Arizona. Service.- Jonathan was amazing. He was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu and honest about his opinions. He stared us to a very satisfying meal. Great personality, very attentive, kudos to him. Food Dash I had the trout and my son had the state Frites (prepared Korean style-recommended by Jonathan.) both were truly amazing . The truck came with a citrusy almond marinade. That was definitely not overwhelming accompany the fish amazingly. The green beans were delicious. My Sons frites were amazing. He definitely ordered me even though mine was delicious. We also split a wedge salad, which was equally delicious. A lot of times you'll have to look for the bacon on your wedge salad. Not here. The bacon was plenty and it was more than just chips that are the size bacon chokes on a salad. . Very happy that such an amazing restaurant has come to the south east and has nestled itself in an amazing area and Atlanta. There are a number of amazing looking restaurants in this area that you could spend an entire week trying each one. Everything from coffee to Asian, pizza, etc. . Atmosphere-the atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable. The building was decorated very nicely, and had a warm, but yet industrial field. There were some locals there, so his early become popular with the locals but also a small party of girls celebrating something... I did have a drink, and it was delicious and kind of reminded me of old-school spritzer cocktails. Bartender was friendly young about patience, very willing to listen to what I was attempting to order . Definitely recommend and we will be back before we leave Atlanta read more
