I always get the half chicken with fries. It's topped with a delicious hot sauce, garlic, cilantro, and banana peppers. The chicken is flavorful and juicy. There is nothing like it around! The fries are seasoned perfectly. I tried the fried tilapia fish for the first time tonight and it was perfectly cooked and came with a white sauce, cabbage, cilantro, and banana peppers but the chicken is still my favorite. They did a great job on the renovation in Providence and the place looks brand new. You can tell the layout was thoughtfully designed. A great family fun restaurant. Love seeing the business grow!

Ambience is nice with a bit of a bistro flair and cute chicken themes. The process of making a reservation here is awkward. You have to request the reservation and then they email you later to confirm it. Would be much more convenient if they did Open Table or Resy. Limited parking too. The meat was thin and tender, but the dish could have used more flavor. $30 is pretty steep for this dish when other restaurants in Rhode Island are around $25. My mom got the chicken parm (without cheese). Again, the fried outside is a different style compared to the typical crispy, breadcrumb crust. For being pounded very thin, the chicken was super juicy. It was $19 which is pretty good. However, the atmosphere isn't pleasant. The tables are right on top you and it's very noisy inside. Because of this, it's a good place for takeout and I saw many people getting food to go.

Tomaselli's took over an old catering hall, and I was concerned before I came that I would be one person at a giant table. But then I saw a picture of the bar surrounded with leather padded deal chairs and I knew I needed to sit at that bar asap. The building is set back from the road and the parking lot is of a decent size, if a bit tight at some of the turns. Walking in, you definitely get the sense it's a hall but if you're solo just head left and the bar is right there waiting for you The bartender was a friendly guy, I never got his name. He took great care of me, checked in regularly. They have an incredible list of wing sauces, and I chose the pepper relish parm wings, which felt so freaking Italian I couldn't pass it up. I also got a small cheese, pepperoni and black olive pizza. Finally, a sangria to sip while I dined. The wings....the wings were incredible. Definitely my winner for the month by miles. They will be hard to beat. It was super oily from the peppers, it was dripping down my chin, but it was so tangy and delicious I couldn't stop eating it until they were all gone. The wings themselves were very meaty and fried hard like I would get in New York state. I think someone in their kitchen is from somewhere upstate New York because I rarely get wings that well fried outside of that state! After I polished those off, the pizza came. It was piping hot, rectangular and cooked to a golden brown. I ignored the heat and went for a slice. Buttery and crisp crust, rich and thick sauce, extra stretchy cheese, the pie was a lesson in generosity. The pepperonis were crispy like I like and the black olives had a more pronounced flavor than you usually find as well. Top notch pizza all around. I couldn't wait to tell my friends about this place, I was texting them in the car about my great experience. When we're craving something a little more thoughtful than the standard eggs-and-toast routine, this is where we land. The menu is creative without being over the top, the flavors are usually dialed in, and it consistently feels like brunch with intention. This last visit, however, turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. We sat at the bar around 1pm, which is our usual move. The service was great. We were welcomed right away and had drinks in front of us in no time. I ordered a draft Blue Moon and my partner went with a glass of wine. Both were cold, fresh, and exactly what they should be. We started with the lemon ricotta donuts. These were delightful. The texture was spot on, tender and light thanks to the ricotta, with that perfect sugar coating. I would have loved a slightly more assertive lemon flavor in the dough itself, but they smartly included thinly sliced lemon rind on top so you could dial it up yourself. A thoughtful touch and a really nice way to begin the meal. My partner ordered the avocado toast for her main and it was as beautiful as it was flavorful. The sourdough had a great chew and structure, the avocado was well seasoned, and the sprinkle of cotija brought just the right salty pop. Bright tomatoes, pickled onions, microgreens, everything worked together. This dish absolutely delivered. I went with the Eggs Benedict Florentine, which I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it missed the mark in a few areas. First, the poached eggs. The whites were a bit loose in spots and the yolks were slightly overdone. I know poaching can be tricky, it took me a while to master at home, but it was surprising to see the interior more cooked than expected while parts of the white still lacked structure. It was manageable, just not what I've come to expect here. Next was the mustard hollandaise. I was really looking forward to that punch of mustard, especially since I've had it shine before, but this time it felt muted. It was also looser than I prefer in a hollandaise. I love a good hollandaise, even better a béarnaise, and this one just didn't have the richness or body I was hoping for. Then there was the tomato. I understand we're not in peak tomato season, but even so, I can usually find more flavorful options at local markets and grocery stores. It appeared to be a standard beefsteak, and it just didn't bring much to the plate. A Campari or another variety with more natural sweetness and acidity would have elevated the dish and complemented the nicely cooked, flavorful spinach far better. On a positive note, the bolo was excellent. Such a great choice over the traditional English muffin and a perfect fit for a local spot like this. It had great texture and the slight sweetness usually balances the mustard hollandaise perfectly. Overall, Avenue N remains a place we truly enjoy. This visit just didn't quite live up to what we know they're capable of. I'm confident it was an off day, and we'll absolutely be back.

Their big juicy broiled pork chops are my staple and their lobster bisque and house margaritas are what call my husband. They began serving breakfast a few years ago and we just tried it the other day. We were pleased! I'm a pancake girl and they were delicious. The Hollandaise sauce had virtually no flavor whatsoever as well. The breakfast burrito was satisfying and tasty...filled with sausage, cheese, and veggies. The egg and cheese omelet was also very bland to us. No seasoning in the eggs, not much flavor in the cheese. Very generic. We really enjoyed the corned beef hash in our Irish Benedicts, however, and both the home fries and hash browns were grilled, not deep fried. Very good. Service was attentive and pleasant.
