I was pretty impressed with Cue. This location is located at the end of a small strip mall in Cumming. The interior is nice l, but seating is limited. They have a bar. My party of five was seated at the only large table they had, right in front of the door. Gave it 4 stars due to the food, which was pretty good! I had the combo plate with pork and brisket. I like how you can select how you want your meats: sliced or chopped. The sauces are mostly vinegar, although they do have a Kansas City sweet. Most of their plates come with home made pickles, which are yummy! The sides are made from scratch and unique too, like the Corn casserole. I would recommend trying! read more

I've always loved Cues and have eaten at the Milton, Peachtree Corners and Lawrenceville, Georgia locations many times, but the Cumming location was not good at all. The smoked wings were barely okay and the fried okra basket was terrible. The okra was tough, stringy and tasted as if it was either freezer burned or just very old. Very disappointed! read more

Tonight I tried the Half-rack Baby back Ribs with Chopped Pork, Deviled Egg Potato Salad, Brunswick Stew, and two slices of Texas Toast well toasted on both sides, plus an Ice Cold Sweet Tea. I was very pleased with everything. Jeff, our waiter was very helpful with the menu choices, visited back numerous times, kept our drinks filled, and had excellent suggestions for our deserts to go, along with a To-Go Sweet Tea! 'Cue is my favorite bbq restaurant in Forsyth. This was one of the first restaurants I experienced after moving to GA and it's still one of my favorites. The sweet potato casserole, potato salad, and corn casserole are amazing. They have rotating beers on tap from local breweries as well as live music on certain nights. It does get busy so you may have to be patient when waiting for your meal (it's definitely worth it). The portions are very large and I always have enough to take a whole meal home for later! We stopped here based on reviews and reasonable prices. We were NOT DISAPPOINTED. MacNCheese bowl w brisket was great. Pulled pork was tender. Their homemade sauces were a bit different but good flavor. And portions were generous. The service was above par. They weren't really busy but a steady stream. Everything is homemade. The only thing I would change is the cobbler crust needed something I think more sugar but the size is for sharing. Never let my tea glass go empty. A big plus for me. We are 'Cue lovers. So many good items are top notch with options galore to choose from. My husband rarely deviates from his order of chopped pork sandwich Pittsburgh style. I often order the sandwich without Pittsburgh style. For sides: I never go to 'Cue without ordering the bourbon sweet potato casserole side. It is fabulous. There seasonal veggie dish varies and rarely disappoints if you like vegetables like I do. The fries, macaroni and cheese, and Brunswick stew aren't anything special but still equally worthwhile as BBQ staples. For desserts: seasonal fruit cobblers are delicious but the Bananas Doster is exceptional and very worth saving room for dessert if you can. Lastly, 'Cue offers assorted BBQ sauces housemade that will definitely fill the void if you require a sauce over your barbecue meat. We can't get enough of 'Cue! read more

This is a relatively pricey joint, but you get what you pay for, in my opinion. My fairly large party of six dined in for lunch and we're treated so well, served by a personable young guy who never failed to keep our glasses filled and smiles on our faces with his witty banter! The chopped bbq pork was so tender and fresh that I wanted to savor every bite! The hype about the fried okra is spot-on. Get it!! You won't regret it. The grilled pineapple side was lip-smacking good. I tasted my husband's Brunswick Stew and was NOT impressed. They need to just throw out the recipe and start over. There's no tweaking that!Baked beans were okay and I heard that the sweet potatoes were not to be missed. What can I say they have some amazing barbecue here. Their beer list has been different every time I've come which is a good thing. You can usually come in and get a quick bite while watching whatever game is on for the day even if it's golf. The banana pudding with chocolate chips is amazing. Also their sweet potato casserole is to die for. The smells that come from this place are so enticing that they forced me to eat here the first time I came in. It's truly as good as it smells. When we're in Cumming, this is the only place we'll consider for BBQ. The food is great and the service is top notch. They have some great sauces, meats, and sides (go for the fried okra and the collards) to choose from. They refresh their beer menu all the time so you get a good selection of different beers to choose from. They have great servers here. Several of them have been here for years and know us by name. Bad experience here this past weekend. We have been several times and loved the place. My husband ordered the salad with chopped pork Bbq. It was a huge salad. Looked really good and my husband loved it. I ordered a veggie plate of mac n cheese, okra, Brunswick stew and collard greens. All were good except the greens. They were really tough and woody. I could only eat a few bites of them. The other items were very good. My daughter ordered the bbq chicken, okra and their special veggie of green beans. The chicken came pulled and soaked in Bbq sauce. It was tough and the only flavor was the sauce. It just seemed this chicken had not been cooked properly or was a quick reheat. Not what you expect from a Bbq joint. The okra was good. The green beans were not good at all. Yuck. The worst by far is that it didn't end with a moderately bad meal as both my daughter and myself felt sick the rest of the afternoon. Bring on the tums and the peptobismal! The sausage is a german style sausage that has no business being served in a barbecue joint, the chicken was dried out and the brisket isn't worth the trip. The sides are okay but that's about it. My wife and I ate at the Buford location today and were served the most hideous, dry and stiff sliced brisket I have ever seen in my life. It says a lot that the kitchen would even plate up brisket that looked like it was cut the day prior. When it arrived, I took one look at it and poked it with my fork. My fork bounced off of it. Our very nice waitress said that she would get us some of the chopped brisket instead, as it was better. Another woman brought my wife and I the chopped brisket(from the point) and it was definitely more moist, but not particularly flavourful or smoky. She apologized for how the sliced brisket was. Then a man who may have been the manager or cook(I don't know, because he didn't introduce himself) arrived at our table to ask what was wrong with the food. I picked up the sliced brisket and it stood straight out! This is the problem, I said. He barely acknowledged that that was a problem. He only said that he wasn't in the kitchen at the time to stop that coming out. The kitchens standards are the owners/ head cooks standards, so they are doing what they have done before or been told is acceptable. The rest of the meal was pretty low grade as well. My wife spat out the coleslaw saying that it tasted and had the texture that it was prepared the day prior. The mac and cheese had hardly any flavour and the smoked pork was very basic and pretty damn dry as well. We only ate about 1/3 of our meal as it was so disappointing. The management made no offer to comp any portion of our meal either. This was our first time eating here and we will never eat here again. read more

We read other reviews before coming here. Many reviews mentioned the brunswick stew and how disappointing it was to them, we agree after sampling. This is not old school BBQ we are accustomed to like Fox Bros or Community BBQ. Some of the sides were very good especially the okra. Is this a BBQ restaurant? NO It is a restaurant that serves BBQ? yes. I was also quite surprised by the pricing of said BBQ, quite expensive. The sauces they offer are fair at best, not a fan of any of them. Everything was so delicious and all homemade! We started with the fried orca and french fries (half and half) appetizer that was massive. Fresh cut fries! Then a bbq platter.
