Since the Cumming location of Cue opened across from the entrance to our subdivision ten or so years ago, their Bourbon Sweet Potato Casserole has been a staple side dish for our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. It is delicious and we'd rate it ten out of ten, this Thanksgiving and every other time we've bought it. This Thanksgiving we tried a different side we hadn't previously tried - Deviled Egg Potato Salad. It was awful. We had not tried it previously so didn't know what to expect beyond how the menu described it. I expected a slightly sweet version of potato salad, but I honestly think someone mistakenly picked up the wrong jar and made it with sour cream, not mayonnaise. It had a pronounced taste of sour cream and no mayonnaise taste at all. I detest sour cream and my wife likes it, but even she couldn't eat it. In the garbage it went. 0 out of ten. read more

We really enjoyed our visit to 'Que BBQ for something different. They have a good variety of options on their menu and several sauces to choose from. Everything from mustard base to KC tomato to Carolina vinegar base. The food was overall very good. We had the chicken, brisket and ribs with cole slaw, potato salad and bacon beans. A couple of points kept them from standing out. First the pulled chicken and ribs came with sauce already on them. We wished they hadn't so we could try to various sauce options. Second, the ribs seemed oven cooked as opposed to smoked which would have been better. If they were smoked it was hard to tell although the meat did literally fall off the bones. I have ordered takeout from this location once before and loved the food. I finally got to actually eat inside a couple days ago. My friend and I both ordered the Barbecue Nachos as an entree. She had been telling me how good they were, so I figured I needed to check them out! They brought out two mountains of nachos, I couldn't believe how much food was on the tray! They cover the chips in queso, bbq chicken, black beans, corn, tomatoes, shredded cheese, and jalapeño slices. Sour cream and guacamole is served on the side. The bbq chicken has plenty of flavor and isn't dry. There's plenty of toppings to ensure you're getting a good chip every time! If ordered as an appetizer, this dish is definitely enough to feed at least 4 people. As a meal, it was way more than enough food! 'Cue has really great barbecue, but like a lot of BBQ restaurants, it's a little bit pricy (at least if you're on a budget). But it's definitely worth it! read more

I have to go all in at Cue. Came here with my mom while looking for address in the same shopping center and glad we went in. On the south side of 20 between CVS and Publix- on the right- a bit hidden, Cue is on the end of a small shopping strip. Ample parking, walked in and the first thing you smell is the BBQ. Not overwhelming, but great smell. Tables all in the front, nice booths not the side and looked like night time music being set up. We got a booth ( about 3PM) and ordered some tea. Very comfortable, server was right there, and looked over the menu. They have a selection of BBQ_ pork, beef, chicken and a good selection of slaws, sides- like great collard greens, sweet potato fries. mac and cheese. Nice looking ribs- huge- and all kinds of choices. We got one 4 slider ( big sliders) plate- you pick any 4 you want and mix and match so you can get pulled pork or sliced, sliced or chopped beef ( brisket), same for chicken- then they have mayo based slaw ( your typical slaw) or vinegar ( which is more of a pickled taste to me but wonderful). These are big sliders and we got 2 sliced beef and 2 chopped pork and slaws on the side to choose. The best side was the fried Okra. You an order an appetizer basket- $5.50- which is huge- or just a side for $2.24. We got the small but these are the bomb!! Fresh fried, fresh okra- the best Ive had. . We shared these with our meals. I opted for a pulled pork and vinegar slaw- huge plate of smoked pulled pork, homemade pickles, and 4 bbq sauces to choose. We chose the sweet ketchup based and spicy vinegar. Different thin types of sauce but tasty. The food and service was impeccable. They ahead beer and wine available, nice clean restaurant with TVS on several walls and comfortable atmosphere. The staff was always out checking on people, and after we ordered our second order of okra ( we should have just got the large basket) - we were stuffed. Took a ton home with us for another meal and great value. Have to say a great new BBQ place and we will be back. Kudos to the management- gotta give it a try. read more

Really nice lean sliced brisket. Beans are better than most bbq places . Sweet potato casserole was a winner. Fries are home made . Being from Texas I am picky about my sauce. And I have to say the The house sauce is pretty darn good. Wait staff very friendly and we're wearing a mask. The dude in the back handling the food had a mask but unfortunately it was on his chin. They do a baked potato as a side a couple of times a year . Wish that was a year-round item. Always nice for the vegetarian in the family to have a couple of options. Startlingly dry brisket. Like your-aunt-forgot-about-the-thanksgiving-turkey dry. Like, you-could-use-it-as-a-desiccate dry. Do not order the brisket. I have decided that one should never order brisket in Georgia. Just forget about it. There aren't any good places. It's not this place's fault (except for serving it), there's just no meaningful appreciation for brisket in this state, at least not enough to convince me to keep trying it. I would probably not have left a review if the sausage weren't also equally dry. Sausage, the grisly and fatty bits all ground up together. How does that get dry!? The casing was like ancient Egyptian papyrus dry--like maybe I even saw some hieroglyphics on it. That would explain things, and it might have tasted better, or at least the story would have made up for the experience. The charred pineapple tastes like watery soot. I'm sure everything else on the menu tastes fantastic. Just avoid these things. The staff was nice but service was ultra meh; but this is what we get now with things like r/antiwork. However. The chicken wings are fantastic and probably the only reason I would consider going back. read more

There are several 'cue locations in the Atlantaland area. All are OTP, I believe. The atmosphere is Country Casual. There are tables, booths and high top side seating. This restaurant has BBQ standards. I love it And you can have it your way. We have had most things on the menu. It's all very, very good. And you will have food left over. We were in last Friday night because of the live music talent. I love the Jarrett-Alexander Duo. I am so thankful to 'cue on Buford Highway for arranging them. This night we started with the BBQ nachos with chicken. Our entrees were the Smoked Wings platter. Comes with two sides. Our sides were Brunswick Stew and Mac & Cheese. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with fries off the kids menu. So cheesy delicious with fries. They had cherry or blueberry cobbler this night. We had cherry. It was perfect. Served ala mode with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Looking forward too our next visit. read more

Came here with my boyfriend and his stepdad for dinner. It was on a whim. He called us last minute and we opted to take a rest day from the gym and come here. He said their wings are good, and so are their nachos, so I was in high anticipation for their wings. We sat outside and the weather was beautiful for it. Our server was really good. He was attentive and really cheery and handled all our requests fast. Wish all servers were this good. I just wish the food had matched the service. My wings were just okay. They were really dried out, and I didn't care for their barbeque sauce. We did get a side of a chipotle type sauce, and that saved my wings. I also ordered the sweet potato casserole which wasn't great flavor-wise, and even my boyfriend didn't love it and he loves all things sweet potato. I got another side, the grilled pineapple, and that was pretty good. He got the smoked beef brisket, and said it wasn't that good. I did try his stepdad's nachos and thought that was the best thing there. The chicken tasted pretty good, and the meat was plentiful on those nachos. I wish that the food had been better. Thus far, I've not had great luck finding good barbeque in this area. Pretty sure they have beer here, given the menu which states under every category that the items would go well with beer, but I'm definitely not a fan of beer and my boyfriend doesn't drink, so we passed on that. We've gone to the 'Cue in Alpharetta numerous times and decided to go to the one in Cumming that's a few minutes closer. It's a Saturday and with Covid (and us being in our 60's) we tend to order out, and tip as if we were there. Ordered online, which was so easy. My fiance went for the smoked wings. We ordered 12 so she would have some leftovers for lunch on Monday. The wings were really big, especially compared to Wild Wing Cafe and other places. Great smoke flavor (duh!) and very juicy. I went with the half bbq chicken with a side of fries and mac 'n cheese (for later). Got to 'Cue a few minutes before my order was scheduled and it wasn't ready, which was fine. Waited about ten minutes, which again was fine because everything was piping hot! Wanted to steal a french fry and it was so hot I had to wait a few minutes. We live about 17 minutes away and when I got home everything was still hot. The half chicken was so big I cut off the breast and wing to eat and saved the thigh and leg for later. Just like with the wings, the chicken was juicy and the bbq sauce was spot on. I wish I had ordered a side of sauce to dip the chicken in, but it worked okay with Sweet Baby Ray's. First time here. We had dinner here on a Saturday night at 6:30 PM. The dining room is nice, but not very big, and they had live music that was way too loud. It made it impossible to have a conversation with anyone. I had the ribs and the smoked wings, both were very good. Their french fries and grilled pineapple were the sides I selected, and they were also terrific, as was their Texas Toast. My Dad had the sliced brisket and a salad. The salad was good, but the sliced brisket was a big disappointment - overcooked and lacking in flavor. Our server was terrible. I literally had to run him down in order to get some additional napkins and a refill on my drink. We also had to go out of our way again to ask for our check at the end. And even though it was clear that we had finished our meal (since we were paying our check), no one bothered to clear our plates or anything else from the table. Management needs to consider doing some training for their servers. I would go back, but only if I knew for sure that there would be no live music (and we'd stick with their yummy ribs). We like to be able to have a conversation when we have our meal, and I could tell families at some of the other tables felt the same way we did. read more

This is my second visit here. My first visit was positive the service was good the ribs were perfect everything was great. My second visit was a disappointment, the service was, I would say was just "ok". However, the ribs I got were "dry", best described as nearing shoe leather. The reason I'm giving this establishment a 3 and not at 2 is simply because of my first visit. I'm undecided if I will go back and test the waters again. read more

I've always loved Cues and have eaten at the Milton, Peachtree Corners and Lawrenceville, Georgia locations many times, but the Cumming location was not good at all. The smoked wings were barely okay and the fried okra basket was terrible. The okra was tough, stringy and tasted as if it was either freezer burned or just very old. Very disappointed! read more

I'm not a huge fan of barbecue; but have to compromise sometimes bc it's my other half's favorite. This is the best place we get bbq from. Their wings are perfect. There's a smoky flavor that just lets you know they've smoked them for awhile; the sauce they're tossed in is not only spicy, but also flavorful. Other half loves their pork and chicken and always orders his bbq with one of every dipping/slathering sauce they offer. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 Star review is the unfortunate truth that they only serve beer and wine (no liquor). Sometimes, a long week calls for a whiskey. I was pretty impressed with Cue. This location is located at the end of a small strip mall in Cumming. The interior is nice l, but seating is limited. They have a bar. My party of five was seated at the only large table they had, right in front of the door. Gave it 4 stars due to the food, which was pretty good! I had the combo plate with pork and brisket. I like how you can select how you want your meats: sliced or chopped. The sauces are mostly vinegar, although they do have a Kansas City sweet. Most of their plates come with home made pickles, which are yummy! The sides are made from scratch and unique too, like the Corn casserole. I would recommend trying! read more
