Amazing food! Personally I have been to several local Mexican restaurants to find the perfect burrito and perfect margarita and they have both here. You can either get a queen or a king size burrito and make it dinner with the beans and rice for less than $6-$8. Perfect portions. The margarita I got there was huge as well. The environment was also super laxed here (I'd compare to noodles & co.) makes perfect for a nice cheep quick lunch or dinner with your friends or family. read more

I have not had a burrito and taco this good since the last time I ate at my favorite Mexican growing up. The rice and beans were perfect, pork taco was great and the King burrito was amazing. The hot sauce is actually amazing hot sauce and not that vegetable hot soup those other places give you. If you have not tried this place it is a must go. Finally real Mexican food in Cary. I have been to this place about five times now and have never been let down. I am a taco person and have tried them all. These are smallest taco's priced right and are very flavorful. I have also had a great tamale, fantastic enchiladas and more. Be aware my stars are based on the meal and not the service, experience or atmosphere.... Being a lover of Mexican food and being a local Cary resident I was quite happy to learn this was opening up a couple of years ago. I visited here a week after it opened and was disappointed. I usually initially gauge a Mexican restaurant on their steak. I felt it to be very bland and chewy. It was their first couple weeks so I gave the benefit of the doubt, fair enough. I've since been here three times. I have to say that the services is quick and the prices are very fair. However, the menu lacks combinations or lunch specials. The menu to me seems to be limited in it's variety mainly focusing on burritos (fair enough the place is called Cuco's Burrito which just makes it a burrito joint and not an authentic place such as Pueblos or El Moline). So to compare this to small "burrito joints" this place is just average. I come here out of convince if I'm pressed for time since it's close. But the last couple of meals I've said to myself "won't get this again". I'm having the King Beef Burrito Suzio. For a place like this I expect a load of cheese on top and there's hardly any except for their watery ranchero sauce which there's a lot of. In fact, the inside contains no cheese although they include in their other burritos. This meal is very wet. Too much sour cream and lettuce inside is a bit wilted. Too messy for me. By the way, where's the cilantro. Not offered anywhere. When I do return for convenience I will try something else until I find what I like. I have to say, food was very good. They have plain beef taco meat which my fiance likes, I had steak taco dinner and horchata. The steak was very well seasoned, not salty like el burrito thank god. Friends have recommended we try this place. We grabbed some rice and beans to go the other day and loved it! We are pretty particular when it comes to rice and beans and they did a great job. We are huge fans of El Sombrero in Fox River Grove and are very picky about our Mexican food, but Cuco's definitely gives them a run for their money. It's closer to us so we've been going to Cuco's more, but shhhhh don't tell El Sombrero! :-) read more

I had to visit one of our offices out in Cary and decided it felt like a Mexican kind of day for lunch. I came across this place and any business with a donkey on the door grabs your attention. Very clean and nice inside, placed my order at the counter and they brought me out chips and salsa, followed by my food. Had a few TVs on so got to catch some Criminal Minds while I ate my lunch. While the look of the place made me think this might be a little more Americanized, the food ended up tasting fantastic. I got steak tacos with cilantro and onion on them and french fries (not knowing about the chips & salsa coming to me) and left very full. I do a lot of reviews when I'm on the road but often forget when I'm home. I know when traveling how handy the reviews of the local people can be when picking a place to eat. Easy to miss this place because the mall it's in doesn't face the road. It's in the same lot as the Cary Inn restaurant. I have been eating here since they opened and have enjoyed everything. I've never been a big taco guy but ordered a pork taco with onions and cilantro one day along with my meal and wow. I have been eating pork tacos ever since. The cochinita pibil dish wasn't real cochinita pibil, it was mediocre. Burritos are ok, but the meat were very bad quality.

They have really great prices. My Bistec Ala Mexicana was only $10 and a medium horchata was 1.65. The portion of my meal was decent. It came with sour cream, guacamole, rice, beans, and tortillas. The steak is cooked well, but could use some more flavor. Most of what I'm tasting is the jalapeño, not bad, but I've had better steak (why this place isn't getting my full 5-star vote). I'll definitely be coming back to try their other menu options. read more

Just went here for lunch with my husband. I got chorizo tostadas and he got a steak burrito. Prices were very low. We got two meals and drinks for $13. Food quality was suberb. I frequent this establishment as it is convenient and fast. Every time I leave I always ask myself why I waisted my money again. The servers are ignorant if they don't like you, which is bad customer service. I always try and be pleasant so I cannot understand why they treat me this way. They talk in Spanish about you and I know they are saying nasty things as I understand much of the Spanish language. This would be very much more acceptable (but still wrong) if they had somewhat good food. Their food is bland, it doesn't taste like Mexican food not to mention most of the times I've eaten here the food tastes old. Mexican food usually includes cilantro, I have never seen any cilantro on any of my food. Their burritos are tiny compared to other burrito places claiming to have a giant burrito. If you ask for extra condiments they act as though you are robbing them. I have given this place their last chance and will never give them any more business. I feel they owe me money for the amount of money I waisted here over the past year. Please people take my advice do not waist your time or money on this garbage establishment. If you decide to try for yourself I wish you the best of luck because I have yet to have an experience where I felt satisfied in a little over a year of subjecting myself to this torture read more

I've eaten and ordered here many times. I never try and give negative reviews about a company but this has happened every time I have ordered take out. The food here is decent, nothing extra ordinary but definitely horrible . I order food for my entire family and usually spend about $50.00+ dollars this includes ordering a beer every time while I'm waiting for my food to be finished. When they call my number they ask if I would like any sauce. I tell them the amount of sauce I want which amounts to 3 sauces per meal which is barley enough as we all love making sure our food all has sauce on it when we eat it. It never fails they always give me half of what I ask for, this is not good practice. They do not even tell me, they just put whatever they want in the bag and wait for me to find out when I get home and realize our meal is ruined. I will never give this establishment another dime of my money. They could at least tell me they would need to charge an extra .25 or whatever per sauce instead of being deceiving like this. Last dime I spend here, I hope the sauce and deceit was worth losing a customer over. I am not the only one with this complaint either, I know a lot of people in the town who say the same exact thing. So long Cuco, way to much competition out there to treat loyal customers this way. read more

Great place, I ordered way too much food for one guy , I had the chirezo burrito which was equal to the best one I have ever had, 3 chicken tacos which were moist and delicious, then I tried to finish it with a tamale which wasn't the best maybe in the wArmer a little too long as it was on the dry side but all in all the service was nice and friendly. When this place first opened they were delicious but my last experience was absolutely awful. I normally get their al pastor tacos and the meat was all fat on it and the tortillas tasted like they were sitting out for days. I couldn't even finish it it was terrible. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. They are by far our family's favorite Mexican restaurant! The spicy shrimp is delicious, the fish tacos are absolutely scrumptious, and my wife swears by the steak taco meal. My kids love the chips that come with the meal, and the atmosphere is quaint and family-friendly. We couldn't ask for a better restaurant! When I asked my daughter where she wanted to go for daddy date night, she said the Mexican restaurant! We eat there once a week and have for about a year now. I've never once been disappointed. Finally great Mexican food in Cary! I ate here two days in a row, both days food was great! Tacos are yummy (a little shy on the tomato though) Tamales are yummy too.
