This place used to be good, but now it's just become average. The burritos were top quality with great meats and flavor inside and now it's OK at best. The tacos are all right. The fish tacos used to be my favorite and they're still pretty good. However, I've found better in other places. The portions are large. I can say that and if you get beans and rice, you'll leave feeling full. But just not my go to restaurant anymore which really is disappointing. Service is always great and the people that work there are super friendly and they do their best to get everything out in time whether it's carry- out or at your table. One female employee swore at me in the parking lot because she got upset when I pulled forward into a parking spot. After ordering my food, she proceeded to talk about me in Spanish to another employee while I was directly in front of them. Rude. I had to launder some oversized items (comforters, ruggables, etc) and while waiting at the laundromat I noticed a Mexican place a few doors down. Instead of sitting bored out of my mind or looking at tiktok I decided to stop in. I had a margarita and chicken taco salad at Cuco's. It was really good and really fast service. Tacos are so good and always delicious. Never a hiccup and an occasional bad one, always on point. What I just can't understand is how their guacamole is inedible. There is no flavor whatsoever. Our first few times eating here we kept ordering it but kept being disappointed. It's gotten to the point where we just don't order it anymore. I agree with the already comprehensive list of positives on other reviews here. I would highly recommend, due to the quality, size, and taste of the delicious burritos we got here. I'm a fan of the chorizo and I love the homemade salsa verde. The only suggestion I have is that you double check the prices, because there are a few outdated pictures in the albums here and some of the prices have gone up (a little). With COVID, they are wearing masks and gloves and the pickup process was easy and quick. If we didn't live closer to some other burrito places here in LITH, we would definitely be here more often! read more

Have patronized Cuco's Burrito Express many times, eating in and carrying out. Tonight, ordered for family. Queen steak burrito was mixed up with a King language burrito. But bigger problem was it wasn't steak, it was chicken. I had a taco salad supposed to be with beef. It was but cold, and salty. We live literally 6min from the store, it should not have been cold. Cuco's needs to step up their game as customers like us will move on. I suppose someone might say take it back, but when you've gathered everyone for dinner, unpacked, and try to give everyone what they've ordered, and then have to pack it up, get back in car and drive to business, explain problem, go through the I'm sorries, reorder wait, and go through it all, unfortunately it's easier to suck it up and never patronize the business again. Solid, Mexican spot in Cary, that beats out other competing restaurants in both price and quality. Everything we've had from Cuco's has been super-solid. Definitely not the best we've ever had, but it's damn tasty for the price. Tacos and fajitas are a highlight, as are their dinner combinations. They are always quick and super friendly as well. If I had one criticism, it's that the quality can be inconsistent at times. Just lack of seasoning or texture of the food from one visit to the next. This is our go to for Mexican food in the area! They are always good. My wife gets the steak street tacos while I try different things. We order to go and the service is good and pretty quick. Service was good and everyone was friendly but the food was terrible and I didn't think it was possible to ruin cheese enchiladas but they did. I eat here about twice a month, and have done so since it has opened. My teenage kids have eaten here more frequently. The food is good, home cooking style food. I've liked everything I have tried. The food is always fresh, and it leaves me feeling good. There are also very, very fast. When I have called a head, I have never had to wait for an order. Compared to other Mexican restaurants locally, the food here just seems mediocre to me. It's the quality of the ingredients that doesn't quite do it for me. Recently I was here and didn't even see any cilantro on my steak tacos. On the good side, the food comes at the right price, the service is quick and they have a large menu selection. Overall, I'll continue to come back here once in a while to try something different since everything comes at the right price. This is a great stop for anyone looking for a great deal, as well as anyone interested in great Mexican food. My boyfriend and I are new to the area, and stopped by after seeing rave reviews online. The restaurant is pretty small, but seemed well kept, and the service was friendly. They have a pretty wide selection for the menu, and we were shocked at how large portions were, considering how cheap everything was. Our total for 1 Cary burrito, 1 beef super quesadilla, and 2 large horchatas came out to be just over $18 after tax. I grew up with Rauls Burrito Express In WAUCONDA which is hard to beat! The owner of this restaurant ran the one in Wauconda forever and then started his own place. I honestly don't think I've ever loved a restaurant more. Since discovering Cuco's a few weeks ago (why oh why did this not happen sooner??) we have been SO many times. So many. It's extremely reasonably priced, very fresh, consistent, delicious, and fast. We call an order in, and then hop in the car to pick it up. Every time it's ready when we get there. My standard order is the steak taco dinner (cilantro and onions) with extra mild sauce. The steak is seasoned very well and the mild sauce is so good.
