It's been a while since I have commented on a restaurant. Usually my reviews are inspired by my disappointment on service, quality, cleanliness and of course taste. This review is based on the same criteria but inspired by a positive experience. The place is unassuming and honestly I was not expecting much from strip mall location. Except this place was packed right off the get go. And the phone kept ringing to place orders and the people kept coming in. The facility is clean and small but honestly it's location works. The staff is friendly, extremely polite and professional considering that the ones taking the orders are pretty young. The kitchen staff got the order right and was extremely fast. So how was the food? The best Mexican food in the area and affordable. A family of 6 had an entire dinner with large drinks for $42. Fresh ingredients, hot to table and it's legit! It's not easy to find authentic, fresh Mexican food made with quality ingredients. This is our new fav spot. Wishing them continued success. Well done! read more

This is a solid spot for Mexican and I'm happy they're in town. The food is delicious, inexpensive, and all our carry out orders have been ready within minutes. My only wish is that they introduce some combo meals into the menu, as sometimes it would be nice to get a taco, an enchilada, or a flauta together without the hassle or added expense of ordering ala carte. I like This place! it's consistent it's clean. however, the food is kind of bland the steak really doesn't have much flavor to it. it's steak but that's about it. there's really no flavor to it. seasoning or no marinade is needed. They rarely get a char on it even when you ask for well-done. it is close, they are open and they are friendly step your flavor game up, please!! the whole town counts on it. read more

My family ate dinner here recently and said the waitress and cook were extremely friendly. They brought me take-out and I absolutely loved it. The chef gave me a special extra-spicy sauce for my cheese enchiladas that was super tasty, and the chicken flautas were crisp and not too greasy. Additionally, the portions were plentiful and prices ridiculously cheap. Had it again a few days later (I love enchiladas far too much) and it was just as delicious. Good chips and salsa, too, in my opinion. Chunkier than a lot of places, and I love me some chunky salsa. Please, people -- support Cuco's! It's so cheap, so good, and so the only Mexican joint in town. I'm tired of seeing good restaurants go under! (ie: Bambino's Beef #1 which occupied the same space [before the original and unbelievably nice owner sadly sold it] -- Best. Italian. Beef. EVER. This place is new to Cary, the food was delicious! The pricing is spot on for 3 of us it only cost $23. The girls working were super friendly and they have us a free chips and salsa basket. This place has the best Mexican food you will ever have. This place has the best tacos!! I usually get the chicken taco dinner that comes with rice and refried beans. This place has quickly become my "go to spot" for some burritos and tacos. My only issue (and reason they didn't get a full 5 stars) would be that the menu isn't extensive enough, but what they do serve, they do right. It's not meant to be a full on Mexican dining experience, I get that, I just wish that it were because what they DO do, is so delicious. If you're looking for the full on Mexican dining experience with a complete menu, I'd still have to recommend El Sombrerro in Fox River Grove, but if you're looking for a quick bite to eat, and, to be honest, when looking for this type of food, I'm usually looking for a quick bite or some grease to mop up the booze left in my system from the night before, Cuco's is king. Usually good but tonight very disappointing. After placing a takeout order I returned home to find two missing sides. I returned to the restaurant and shared that my order was incomplete. I remembered my order number and I remember ordering the sides. My disappointment is that After returning I was told I did not order the sides. No sorry, no thank you for returning. Just a "you did not order the sides. I left the oily quesadillas wrapped in foil on the counter and walked out. Service was not 5 stars and they did not care. Not going back and will share the experience to build awareness with as many as will listen. read more

Great staff , mole, and beans.Reasonable prices, fast, and clean. The walls lined with filled punch cards speak volumes.

First experience tonight, and VERY pleased! (This will be dangerous having it so close to our home!) The girl behind the counter, and the man serving the food, were both so friendly and smiling. Little things like that go a long way. I had the chicken flautas and they were super crispy but not greasy ... perfect! The chicken inside was very flavorful, and the side of rice, beans, and sour cream/guacamole was a perfect addition. Not overly seasoned as it should be ... letting the natural flavors shine. The guac was creamy and flavorful. My hubby got the gordita and burrito and was also very pleased with the flavor. Topped it off with a yummy cinnamonny horchata and now we're stuffed, but happy as can be! :) We'll be back to Cucos soon. So glad they're in Cary, and I have a feeling they'll be here for a very long time! read more

Ate take out the other night; my first experience with Cuco's. I had the King Chimichanga and my wife the Chicken Enchiladas. The red sauce had a little bite to it.The food was very tasty with a generous portion at a fair price. This will be my go-to place for Mexican food from now on. read more

Great food - great price - great service! Nice menu of real Mexican food at Taco Bell prices. When I walked in the line was long, almost to the door. Dreading the wait, I joined the line. Much to my surprise, I'm quickly at the counter ordering. As I sit down, I'm greeted with chips and house made salsa. My son enjoyed a burrito and I had delicious flautas, served with beans rice sour cream and fresh guacamole. Great meal! read more

Happy to have a new Mexican place close to home. Our typical go to for Mexican is Tacos El Norte in Lake Zurich, so this was a pleasant surprise to find something just as tasty! Delicious! Definitely will be back to try more of their menu items. read more

Few places get 5 stars but this place earned it. I got the Cary's king burrito and it was delicious! The beans and rice were flavorful, the horchata was really good (slightly watered down but still so good). Service was great and the food came fast. This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Their salsa and spices are very real compared to most Mexican restaurants in the area. Many places from Fox River Grove through Crystal Lake have received the 'Best of the Fox' award and their food tastes flavorless in comparison to Cuco's. read more

Good and relatively cheap Mexican food. The Sombrero in nearby Fox River Grove is better but also more expensive. Avoid this place during the week around noon during the school year as it becomes jammed with Cary-Grove students and the waits get long. read more

I absolutely love this place and they have phenomenal food! My dad and I come here all the way from round lake just to get their tacos. Only reason for a 4/5 is they messed up my girlfriend's order and put onions on her taco when she requested no onions. read more
