Ordered online. First time trying the place and I'm just wholly underwhelmed. I got the stuffed mushrooms, orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage and the mozzarella sticks. The stuffing for the mushrooms is bland. And they come in marinara sauce, which wasn't shown on the website or on the delivery app. I wouldn't have ordered them if I'd known they're meant to depend on marinara sauce for any flavor. The pasta was just okay. The sausage in it was great and the pasta was cooked well but the broccoli rabe tasted like it was just cooked plain and thrown in. The sauce and rabe had no flavor. The mozzarella sticks were good but it's hard to mess up a mozzarella stick. I'd heard about this place being good. Maybe it's better in person. read more

DISCLAIMER: I'm an older person needing a lower salt diet. Simple neighborhood place where you're greeted by a young hostess and VERY nice waitress and staff. I believe it's slightly overpriced (like Caesar Salad $15??!!...Even Nicolas in Totowa is only $10...Calamari $20!!??) Excellent website and many apparently GREAT choices. We went simple. We asked for Hotsy Shrimp BUT NO SALT and it was DELICIOUS, sauce and perfectly cooked shrimp. But we didn't remember to try ordering "no salt" dishes. The Veal Parm was very tasty but salty and my friend's Lasagna was delicious but even saltier (i was drinking water all night and at home). The salad that came with the meal could have used more pizzazz with the dressing and the tomatoes were typical out-of-season hard. So for Shrimp and 2 Entrees, tax and tip $100 (with no decor)!! Ordered eggplant parm, mozzarella sticks, and a cannoli for delivery through Uber Eats. The resturant was out of cannolis so upgraded it to cheesecake which I thought was great! Everything wss packaged well and ready on time. The mozzarella sticks were good. I was surprised at how large of a portion the eggplant parm was and it about an inch and a half tall! Couldn't recommend this place enough. I came on a pretty low traffic Tuesday afternoon but nonetheless, my server was attentive, kind, and warm. The location has parking on the rear and also offers TakeOut in a separate section of the restaurant to not disturb people who dine-in. The ambiance is beautifully curated and definitely looks high-end. The food itself was delicious and will definitely become added to my "Italian" spot rotation! Driving around with my husband looking for something to eat Cucina 355 popped up on my Yelp account and we decided to just drive on over. It was around 6:30-7pm and the restaurant was quiet. I actually loved how this place is half pizzeria half restaurant and the split is made quite nicely right from the entrance. Each room has its own appropriate vibe. Looking at the menu after reading a handful of reviews about the penne vodka, my choice was already made for me. I decided to get the penne vodka and add in breaded chicken, the portions looked large so my husband and I decided to split it. Thank goodness we did, I could have never finished that by myself - yes the portions are large enough to share and because they knew we were sharing they popped in two spoons instead of one. This way we don't need to wait turns to get the good stuff LOL. Overall the decor, the staff, and most importantly the food were 5/5 we will certainly be back and want to try out the pizza as well! read more

I also spoke to another person days ago and was told yes for the requests I mentioned. When we arrived I asked about the small table to display desserts when there was ample ones finally they "found" one, that's only for private parties. The bill came I put a 300.00 pyt down & the bill had only 100.00 was told they never attached the receipt My child ate chicken fingers and fries and we paid the price for the family style dinner which was 42.95. This is more than just a pizza place. Passed Cucina 335 probably 5 times a week for 5 years and never tried it. The food was delicious. I tried the eggplant parmigiana and it was fantastic. Menu was diverse & creative ranging from an octopus app, to classic arincini to fresh made pasta versus "regular pastas", pizzas & a gluten free "healthy" list! Glad they appeared to be able to cater to dairy free & gluten free diners. The restaurant is split into 2: a casual, quick sit to eat & to-go side or a fancier proper dining sit in area. We were a party of 4 & had to wait for our server for about 8-10mins because it turns out he was the only one. As someone who is gluten sensitive, I was excited to see they offered gluten free pasta & was excited to have the broccoli rabe with shrimp pasta dish, but said he didn't have any GF pasta. I was upset, but I just went with the pasta-less GF dish that just served shrimp & broccoli rabe. After we got our orders in finally, we also had to wait a while for our food... luckily chit chatting distracted us from our hunger. Our food was all brought out together nicely presented & hot, but kitchen forgot to add olives to my friend's salad & server didn't bring another's cappuccino. The best portioned & tasting dish appears to be the fresh pasta Squid Ink Frutti di Mare, second best seems to be the fresh pasta Fiocchi with a delish light sweet stuffing. My broccoli rabe & shrimp was an okay portion, with the shrimp looking fresh & cooked perfectly, but for the cost of just a few pieces of shrimp & veg doesn't not seem worth it. Choose something else. This made me very disappointed that there was no gluten free pasta despite it being offered for any of the pasta choices & an additional exclusive gluten free list. The restaurant should remove the gluten free pasta choice from the menu if they don't want to carry it for the rare diners who want to have a nice GF pasta dish in an Italian restaurant. Very upsetting. Then, by the time our meals were done, our apologetic server stated he was going to get the cappuccino only to return to say that there's something wrong with their espresso machine. In return, he offers a comped dessert but only offers cheesecake & while being dairy free he didn't provide any other options. So again, I felt left out & didn't have any dessert with my friends & the server wasn't even thoughtful to provide any alternatives. For my friends they will return, but me, I will not. read more

This is our go-to delivery spot. We moved to Nutley over two years ago and my friend recommended this place. We tried it and loved it. In the beginning we would order from there about once a week. I like how you can place your order online and get 10% off- that's a nice incentive. We have ordered for a lot of people and everyone always enjoys their food. You can also order what time you want to have your food delivered if you want to plan ahead of time. Some of my favorites are their chicken arrabbiata, rice ball apps, and grandma pie. At this point, this is actually my favorite place in town to eat a good satisfying meal. I mean, it's just in my opinion, really darn delicious. The waitress "Kerry" is so personable and wonderful to chat with. I'm here, I believe, on an off peak hour. There are just a few people dining and it's so pleasant. I tried the Chicken Napoli today and I loved the flavor. Not overly salty. Just the perfect blend of goodness in one dish. I splurged, all for good reason today and also ordered Clams Oreganata for appetizer. It had such an incredible balance of lemon and the oreganata topping. Your customers aren't stupid and it is obvious. When you have to INSTRUCT HOW THE PIZZA needs to be SOMETHING IS WRONG!! Asking for extra cheese and paying extra for it and when is comes to the table you realize that is the way it used to be served at regular cost! The lack of sauce on the pie it is RIDICULOUS!!! The grandma pie is usually good but even that was underwhelming tonight. It normally has much more sauce and isn't as greasy. Plenty of good places to drop $48 at in this area. All the flavors taste like your aunts and uncles were cooking all day! Don't sleep on this spot. They have easy pickup and delivery, a casual dining side and another dining room that is great for parties or a quick date night if your tight on time! Could walkin & take a chance to sit in pizzeria area. Did just that arrived @ 5:05 pm, only 2 couples where in the main dinning room. We ate our meal left @ 6:10 pm still only 4 tables seated in main room. We are frequent customers to your restaurant, don't understand why you would turn away patrons & let your main dinning room remain empty & turn away paying patrons. Every single time we call there, we are on hold for a ridiculous amount of time to the point where it is unacceptable. It has gotten to the point where we won't order anymore and won't make reservations. The staff is always rushed and there is not enough help. The owner needs to know this as it is not pleasant. Had my first visit to Cucina and it did not disappoint. The bread was amazing here. BYOB which is always a plus. Rice balls were good, vodka sauce is delicious. Had veal francese which was very lemony which I love. There's lots of other dishes I want to try, so I can't wait to come back. read more

My clients wanted this spot for lunch so I called in and picked up the food. I went to pick up the food about 25 minutes later. I was able to find parking on the street. When I walked in the food was not ready. I realized I had to take things off to stick to my budget and the waitress was able to do so. It was a bit of a wait for everything and a bit pricey for the food as well. Paid about $70 for 3 chicken cutlet sandwiches, 1 order of fries, small soup and salad with a 2 liter of soda. I only ordered garlic knots (which I forgot to take a picture of). My clients were happy with their food. When I got home I ate the garlic knotz and they were pretty tasty. First time trying this place out & I was looking for something to eat around where I was at in the time I was in the area. Came across this Italian spot and looked up the reviews on Yelp before making my final choice. I was craving penne vodka. I ended up getting penne arrabbitata, that came with chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, and sliced hot peppers w/ vodka sauce. That was very good, the size sold it the most and for that price it was great. The peppers added some good kick to it. Will definitely go back and try it again. That's one of the most picked pastas on their menu so try it if you haven't already done so. Now the grilled chicken wrap wasn't all that good to me. Barely any sauce on it she I felt like the wrap was easy to break when attempting to eat the wrap. But warming it up definitely was different. If you get both, don't mix both. lol not a friendly sight hahaha. Yelp celebrates 16 years in 2020 and myself and the Mrs. are right behind them at 15 years in early August. To celebrate our 'Crystal Anniversary' we opted for Italian (of course!) and I swear - a $5-off-coupon from Cucina 355 that came in the mail had nothing to do with us checking the place out. (Okay, it totally did. But then I didn't have the nerve to actually use it. Weird, right?) Nice to have a friendly person answering the phone (how many pizzerias seem to only find someone irritable to answer their phones?!). Picked up the food, headed home and a feast was waiting inside of that bag. Linguini with Clam Sauce - absolutely delicious with a whole lotta clams and sliced garlic and a sauce begging to be sopped up with some good bread. Chicken sandwich (their #4, made into two meals it was so large) got big raves from one kid, penne with butter (boring, right?) was devoured by the other kid. And the Mrs. - who is a bit cuckoo for Cesar salad added chicken to hers and really dug her meal and surprised how big a portion it was. And a massive hunk of a bread (not your typical Italian or French style) which didn't stand a chance between the four of us. All of this for just $50 ($45 if I'd used that dang coupon)? Oh yeah. 15 years ain't easy, lemme tell ya. But if I can keep finding places this good every August - I think the Mrs. won't be kicking me to the curb anytime soon. read more

Amazing atmosphere that's both fancy and casual. It's BYOB, so make sure to pick up your favorite bottle of pinot Grigio before dinner. It pairs well with this food. The blonde waitress (Carey?) at Cucina is skilled in her craft and makes you feel at home each time you are served by her. It's a rarity to go to a restaurant anymore and witness hard working staff who are passionate and put care and effort into their job. You can tell Cucina takes care of her well, and therefore the patrons are too. This waitress MAKES the atmosphere, despite already being absolutely gorgeous inside with the Christmas lights. The only downside is the complimentary bread will fill you up before you can finish dinner. The upside to that is discovering the chicken and pasta dishes are some of the best leftovers I have ever had in my life. I always make sure to finish off my meal with cappuccinos. Great Italian food options. I dined inside a few times but I made a lot of orders through DoorDash during the pandemic and I was more than satisfied with every option. The Penne Arrabbiata w/chicken was excellent and I really liked the vodka sauce. The portion sizes are generous and the quality of the chicken was tender and not rubbery like a lot of other places. I had the pizza here once and it was fine but nothing special. There are so many options that I want to try here. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality. read more
