I was worried about the new upper lip package I got through a partial exchange of credit from an unused package since I have been on maintenance with little hair growth, but the corporate manager Brian himself assured me that I had his OK to change back to the old unused package services if I did not use this new package. I went in to Marina Del Rey for a treatment of upper lip and another body area. The office explicitly told me it is ok if the appointment is booked for both areas, but I only decide to get one treated that day after talking with the nurse. So I told the nurse my concern about the hair being too light and fine in the upper lip area to respond to the laser, and that I did not want to do the upper lip, and only wanted to do the one other body part. Staff from the old Olympic location had told me repeatedly throughout the years that the laser does not work on too-fine or too-light hair. The nurse here, however, would not take no for my answer and insisted that I get the upper lip done claiming that she knew better how to adjust the settings than other nurses and that I had old info. Sure enough, it was a waste of a service done --- every little fine hair left on my upper lip area grew back, and it is no different from before I came in for that appointment. On top of that, as the upper lip package was used, I was told Brian's promise meant nothing and there was no record of my old package on file anyhow. So now I am left with something that is useless unless I want to waste my time making appointments and trips to LaserAway for no results.

The nurse was very thorough and provided me with so much useful information about being a new mom and it was all placed in a cute reusable children's bag I got to take home. I got my urine tested, second ultrasound, and bloodwork done all in the same visit. I went in very nervous because I didn't know what to expect, but left feeling accomplished and relieved to know my baby is healthy. Before that she said it was allergy, not a policy, so she kept changing her responses just to discriminate me and wouldn't even let service animal wait in the lobby or outside which they had to by law, she just refused my appointment. Just wanted deny the appointment I drove 2 hours to without offering any solutions. After promising to refund my last prepaid session at the lobby they didn't refund me anything (!) and now just been ignoring me for a week and wouldn't send me security footage I requested for my lawyer and sent litigation hold notice to at least not delete security footage in case I'll have to escalate to the court. They didn't even respond after I asked them to confirm not to delete the footage. Just took money and their partial treatment and combining laser and VI peel same day made hyperpigmentation even worse (I just read it's actually prohibited on my medium skin type and they didn't even tell me my skin type might get reactive to this) but the worst is they denied my last scheduled appointment even after I sent them all requested by them paperwork about service animal. Filing complaint with California civil rights department, Medical board and ADA. You had to return money for the service you didn't even provide and rescheduled to some random date without even asking me. I just want my money back for the service I didn't receive and you violating the law. Now they just took money and ignoring me for weeks and scheduling random appointments without even asking me, so I can officially lose credits, I didn't schedule didn't confirm anything after last time they refused to provide service at my actual scheduled appointment. I didn't violate any service dog policy stated on their door, I sent them all paperwork they requested about service animal even though they were not supposed and they still denied me not even letting it wait outside or in the lobby which is nonsense. Now they are scheduling random appointments I didn't confirm to tell my bank I had appointments and they won't provide security footage or won't confirm the footage won't be erased.. this is devastating experience and no one can protect you. The only professionals they are is in one thing - scamming people who trusted their credibility and paid upfront for services they will never receive. When I returned for the appointment, I saw a different PA, Sheri, who gave me different information. She told me the brown spots on my leg actually could not be treated with the laser after all, and that I would likely need 6-12 treatments rather than 4-6. She also did not know whether the recommended products were vegan and cruelty-free. Additionally, she explained that I was supposed to use the products for several weeks before beginning laser treatments -- something I had not been told during the original consultation. The first PA had mentioned the products, but never explained that pre-treatment use was required before starting the laser. Sheri contacted the product representative to ask about the vegan status of the products, but the rep was unsure and could not provide any timeline for getting an answer. At that point, I left without receiving treatment. Both PAs were friendly and professional, but I was frustrated by the lack of consistency and communication. I would have appreciated someone following up about whether the products were vegan before I came in expecting to begin treatment. Instead, I wasted time coming to an appointment that ultimately could not proceed. It also concerned me that the providers were not on the same page regarding what could actually be treated or how many sessions would realistically be required. It has now been about a month since that appointment, and nobody ever followed up regarding whether the products were vegan, despite assuring me that they would. I ultimately went to a dermatologist, who explained that the mole and brown spots should not be treated with laser in the first place. She excised the mole for less than the estimated cost of four laser sessions. Based on my experience, I would recommend seeing a dermatologist for concerns like these, since they are medical skin specialists.
