DO NOT COME HERE WITH KIDS. The service is incredibly slow, which might be acceptable to the retirees that dine here, but was way too slow for families with hungry children. We came here on a Thursday night with a reservation and it took 80 minutes to receive our entrees after ordering. 80 minutes! It didn't appear that any other tables were served any faster but I definitely do not recommend that families eat here. Service is way too slow. read more

OMG! How is it possible to have such a delicious meal from start to finish, friendly, fast and attentive service and great ambience in such an out of the way location? The four of us had an early 5:00 reservation and sat out on the screened porch, so we could enjoy the view of the meadows and mountains in the distance. I would recommend reserving early because the restaurant was packed an hour later. For starters the garlic dip and bread is a must-have! Imagine dipping fresh baked bread in a concoction of whole roasted cloves of sweet garlic smothered in a warm gooey blue cheese and olive oil mixture - heaven! I ordered the butternut squash in a creamy white wine sauce with basil and roasted cherry tomatoes minus the prosciutto because I am a vegetarian. The butternut squash was not too sweet and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Entrees include a choice of soup or salad. The waitress assured me the red pepper soup was completely vegetarian. It was perfectly seasoned and bowl-licking good. I rarely order dessert especially after such hefty servings but I couldn't resist sharing a light, but moist, lemon cake with lemon whipped cream frosting. The four of us are from the Bay Area and have had our share of good Italian food, but we all agreed this meal was superb. We decided we will return to the area next year and make a beeline to Cuccia's. Bravo Cuccia! read more

Great spot near Clio to have a nice dinner. We chose to sit outside and it was perfect. The food and service were great. However my husband did say that his Frutti di Mare was a bit under-seasoned. We liked the takeout so much, that we went back a second night. Laporte pizza and garlic bread the first night. Fantastic! Perfect for all of you garlic lovers - roasted garlic cloves on the pizza. Chicken Gorgonzola Fettuccine for the second night, so rich and flavorful. Absolutely perfect. A side of cheesy bread was good, we didn't know that there was bread and olive oil balsamic to go with the meal, which was really great. Even with the coronavirus procedures in effect, the service was great, food was ready to pick up in under 20 minutes, and friendly faces were there to greet us both nights. I look forward to dining in next time. If there is a better place to eat in the area, I would be surprised. Looking forward to our next trip to Cuccia's! read more

We have dined at Cuccia's about 10 times now, most recently this evening. Each time the dinner was perfect. The food is delicious, the service is excellent. The wine list is first rate though we brought our own this evening, the $20 corking fee is fair. Gina, the owner, is always present making sure everything is right. Last night, 7/18/2023, our plans to have dinner at another establishment in the area were unexpectedly cancelled. Cuccia's was the only other option at that time on a Tuesday, however, we know and respect that they typically require reservations. My 24 year old son ran up to see if on the off chance they could take us. Even though it was obvious that they were actually very busy, they welcomed the three of us without reservations and we went on to have an incredible dinner with a wonderfully gracious and accommodating staff!! Cussias was a welcome surprise. Very well run and engaging. Pretty close to white linen and up in Gods country Graeagle. We did show up at 5pm with reservations (Weds.) and glad we did. Upon leaving there was a line out the door. Food was above par and service was outstanding. That makes it for me dining out. my Ravioli was great and the only comment was seasoning could have been more in pasta than Marinara. Thats my own chef comment. But very good as I'm having rest of it for dinner tonight. I believe Gina is the owner and was pretty busy handling lots of apparent " special anniversary and birthday" guest with no reservations. The food was good and the ambiance was nice. The service was neither of these things. I'm guessing they don't get a lot of gay customers and they clearly don't want any. The hostess was somewhere between rude and homophobic... after warmly greeting other customers, she ignored us for as long as she could before seating us. She avoided eye contact and only grinned at us when we ordered a bottle of wine. The bartender was very sweet, but it was her 1st day. The hostess was very efficient but she made it clear that we were not welcome. The rest of the service was awkward and a customer stared at us. If you are white and heterosexual, then you would probably like it here, and they will like you. Otherwise be prepared to be treated like a paraiah. read more

Have visited Cuccia's several times and have been consistently very satisfied with the overall dining experience. We've been seated in both the interior and exterior seating areas and have thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. The outdoor porch seating offers views of the Mohawk Valley. However, my personal preference is for the indoor seating. This restaurant is on the site of the former Mohawk Cafe, and Cuccia's is a real upgrade -- they have done a great job of renovating and updating the interior in all respects. The ambiance definitely exceeds expectations for this rather "off the beaten path" mountain restaurant destination. Seating is comfortable, tables are well spaced, and there also is an impressive antique bar area. On each visit I have made a reservation in advance and would recommend that you also do so (particularly on weekends) as the restaurant has regularly appeared to either be fully booked or nearly booked. As a family-owned restaurant, Cuccia's does a very nice job of welcoming their guests, engaging in friendly conversation, and just plain making you feel at home. Servers obviously are working hard to be responsive to all tables, but remain personable and attentive. Service time has been satisfactory. A few of the dishes which I have enjoyed and would recommend include the Veal Parmigiana, Sacchetti (a pasta), and the Salmon is done very nicely. The Garlic Bread is a surprisingly tasty accompaniment to each of these selections. I also particularly have enjoyed both the Red and White Wine Flights, each of which consist of 3 separate 2 ounce (or so) glasses of different varietals. On one occasion because they had just run out of one of the 3 wines in the flight that was listed on the menu, I was offered a complimentary dessert wine. Starting with the positive, the staff were very nice and we didn't wait too long for anything. The food was pretty good. Not exceptionally delicious (for example, the Italian dressing tasted like it came from a bottle; I'd expect better for an Italian restaurant) but not bad. Now the negative - FOOD ALLERGIES BEWARE. There were 2 items our table ordered which had ingredients that were NOT listed on the menu, or a different ingredient was listed. I had the Farmer's Market salad, which on their menu AND the website says "goat cheese" but it came with blue cheese. YUCK. The waitress said they never serve it with goat cheese and don't even have goat cheese, like I was wrong for expecting it. She didn't offer to remake or get me something else. Negative: we were waiting for more than 15' to be attended by the hosted. Nobody noticed that we were waiting just one regular costumer who apologizes for the situation (we had a reservation). When we were seated we waited other 10' until somebody offered us water. - I had the chicken parmigiana. It was very bland and the chicken was swimming in sauce and cheese. My husband had the chicken Marsala and it was tasteless. Very expensive dishes for the quality of food. $19 each Positive: it's a nice restaurant and ambience. While staying at Clio's River Edge we got takeout from Cuccia's and ate it down at the park in Graeagle and it was delicious. I don't know if it's possible to overdose in garlic but after that Garlic Dip we came close and it was so worth it. The roasted garlic cloves and olive oil and blue cheese was so delicious we were using our pizza crust to mop up all the leftovers. We also had the calamari appetizer, which caught my wife off guard because she was anticipating friend calamari rings. The sliced calamari steak strips were tender and delicious. The breading had a nice balanced seasoning that didn't overpower the flavor of the meat. Lastly we had the eureka peak pizza. Obviously we live garlic since we went with a pizza that had garlic cream sauce and more roasted cloves but it was delicious. The crust was thin but light and fluffy. Our daughter is only 1 and is a very picky eater but she wouldn't put the pizza down. All in all it was delicious and very very good. I would love to eat here again next time we're in town. Maybe dine-in. The area is so beautiful but you add in the bonus of Cuccia's and it's a no brained that we're already planning our next trip back. read more

Overall? OK I have been here three or so times. First time was great and they were busy so from my experience working in the food service I can understand long wait times on some food. We were out in the patio so the temp and noise level was great. Second time was an ok experience. It wasnt as busy but it did seem that people were very busy running around doing this and that. Without that many people in the dinning room it got VERY loud. Third time was kind of a cluster f***. It started of great, we got there about 15 minutes before opening and they took us in without an reservation (it was a last minute choice). They got us seated and got everything rolling. The problems started coming up when about every 2-3 minutes they would come by asking if we needed anything or if we were ready to order. They kept repeating the specials, which I get but after the 3-4th time let if go man. When we did finally figure out what we wanted there was no one in sight to take our order, about 15 minutes later someone came and took our order. After our food came out they went back to their ever 3 minute check-in. I appreciate attentiveness but there comes a time where that is too much. The part that really bugs me is at the end when we were paying we went to split the check some on a card and some with cash. Our bill was pretty sizable (125$) considering we had 5 people and we put about 50$ on the card and the rest was going to be in cash which we gave them 100$. when the receipt came back they had charged all 125$ onto the card and kept the 100$ as well. Im sorry but the service was not 80% tip worthy so change please? We ended up getting that straightened out but at the end it was not a great first time experience for our friends that we were bringing out there.The food was great but make sure you are paying attention to your bill if you are doing anything other than 100% full payment, they might blank out a little. read more

Our family has been coming up to the Blairsden / Graeagle area for 50 years. We have 4 generations coming annually at this point. We always dine once or twice at Cuccia's. As usual, the food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, the whole experience was fantastic. So why only 4 stars... they along with all of the other local restaurants have started charging a 3.5% surcharge for using a credit card. This is ridiculous and really constitutes nickel & diming the customer. A huge percentage of customers pay by credit card. Why is that cost not built into your business model? We usually eat out at Cuccia's, Grizzly Grill, Firewoods and the Iron Door. Since we all stay in condo's we have decided to cook in the majority of our meals during our next visit. Hopefully, the local businesses will start to realize that nickel & diming their loyal long-time customers is no way to run a business. read more
