Our second visit to Cuccia's was as good as our first. A year after our visit with the kids and grandkids we came back with the dog. We ate outside and they brought the dog a dish of ice water. The restruant is comfortable. The patio is covered and has a fan which helps with the temperature. The background music is very subtle and fits the atmosphere. The service was excellent. Our water was kept filled. Our food was brought out quickly. We had the same waitress as last year. This year my husband had a classic calzone. He ate 1/2. I had a chicken Gorgonzola with veggies, not pasta. Mine was delicious. The portions sizes are generous. Thanks for a lovely meal. read more

Overall really dissatisfied from previous dining here. The pros: Bread service was great Drinks arrived fast Tuscan pasta was hot with good flavor Pizza was super The cons: The scampi was not edible. It tasted like it just white wine drizzled over it, not garlic or lemon noted. Very bland. Prawns were meh. We were charged 27 dollars then 9 to split with over 3/4 untouched. The Alfredo was very runny, we ordered it for kiddos and they wouldn't touch it. The entire dish was left minus two bites. We shared this with our server, again charged full price and 9 dollars to split the dish, That was untouched. Paying 125 dollars for that food and no alcohol seems a bit insane. There was no offer of a different dish or improvement to the dishes we had. We have previously had a great experience here in other years, not sure what happened this time. read more

A perfect solo date night! I came up to our campsite a couple of days before my husband, so I decided to treat myself to a solo dinner date, and Cuccia's did not disappoint! I ordered the fettuccine alfredo, as I always feel you can truly judge an Italian place by how well they cook the basics. It was absolutely delicious and incredibly well balanced. To make the night even better, I found out they offer 50% off bottles of wine! I enjoyed a lovely bottle of Sacred Soil, and I love that they will recork the bottle for you to take home if you don't finish it. This place is a gem, and I will definitely be back! Ok, so the good with the bad. I was part of a BIG group, like 35. That being said the wait staff was polite, and the tables were set. The first course was Caesar salad... not enough. A small bowl every 8 adults is not enough. The second course was pasta. They brought out penne with red sauce and ravioli with white to every table. The red sauce was very "Ragu" esque and the white was pretty bland too. The main was tri tip. It was cooked perfectly actually but it was served cold and I personally think they cut it wrong because as good as it was cooked it was tough to cut and chew. I understand that is not every day they get a group of 30 to 40 people, but when they do, I hope they capitalize better than that in the future. I will say that the waitress/bartender who is behind the bar was very knowledgeable about the wine that they served and provided an excellent recommendation for a red for our table of eight. I ended up buying three bottles just because she was extremely polite, personable, and her recommendation hit all marks! read more

I love Cuccia's. I understand change is coming, so we squeezed in one more visit during Christmas, before the new owners change things up. Their service, food, & atmosphere are always wonderful. I almost always order the sacchetti, which is mushroom filled with a creamy delicious white sauce that I absolutely love. It's melt in your mouth delicious. My husband joined us for this visit and ordered a pizza, which is a first for me at this restaurant. Now I'm sad we didn't make Cuccia's our go to pizza joint all these years! That pizza was SO GOOD! The crust was chewy and crispy and all the things. And the toppings (pepperoni & sausage) with the cheese love made each bite a drool worthy experience. Of course I ordered the affogato for dessert - one of my favorite sweet treats. Cuccia's always has some delicious gelato flavors to choose from, which kicks up the flavor a few notches. Delicious Graeagle Italian spot! The view of the meadow is incredible outside, and they also had misters going out front because it was so hot. I'm not sure if a reservation is required, but I would recommend making one. Our server was very prompt and also super kind! We started out with the calamari fritto, and it was super delicious! The calamari steak was cooked perfectly. Calamari isn't my favorite dish, but even I liked it! For my entree I ordered the pesto cerrito with added chicken, and it was amazing. The portion wasn't too big, which I really liked. The sun dried tomatoes paired perfectly with the pesto and were a great added touch! For my dessert I ordered an affogato (my personal favorite)! The food was good the meat raviolis were so good the steak was under cooked when we asked for medium rare,the salmon was good the olio was good.The service was amazing our server was so nice and was great. I called a couple weeks in advance to make a reservation for my in-laws anniversary while we were all going to be in town for a wedding. Gina acknowledged my message and responded to me promptly. I asked if they could note that it was their anniversary and she said no problem. I was also able to pay over the phone for their entire meal. Gina was very accommodating and so friendly on the phone. My in-laws said the service was exceptional. They arrived before their reservation time, but were still seated anyways. Everyone that greeted them said "Happy Anniversary", that included the hostess, waitress, and bus boy. They both enjoyed their meals of the steak and green mussels. I took my wife to try Cuccia's for her birthday dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised. Looks unassuming from the outside, but interior is very hip and comfortable and clean. Menu is extensive, prices are modest, and our server Rowan was delightful and attentive. The veal saltimbocca was exquisite, as was the lasagna. And of course they did something special and generous for my wife's birthday. One note off the bat: very, very friendly and tasty. We were there a couple days before Newsom's no-indoors dining order and at that point they did allow socially distanced indoor dining. It was well-spaced. Nice outdoor area, but it was booked up when we arrived - 7:30 on a Sunday night. Despite being in a small community in the mountains a reservation would have been required. Live and learn - there are many small inns and hotels and home rentals and second homes in the area, so steady stream of vacationers, even (maybe even esp?) this summer. Views good, food very satisfying, blew our expectations (which were somewhat modest) away. Great service, friendly and, well-masked staff. If you have been out hiking, cycling, golfing or otherwise exploring Plumas County then you won't regret heading over after a fun day and having a delicious and well-crafted Italian meal here. Ordered drinks which were relatively prompt as well. And then . . . Wait. Salads came after maybe 15 minutes. Entrees . . . Another 30?? Sadly, the pizza was under-cooked . . . And nobody noticed or asked about our meals. The pasta lacked basil, a key ingredient. Our server was nowhere to be seen. Or anyone else. Finally she came. We asked for boxes and I told her about the inadequate meal. She did the right thing and comped it, but that doesn't really make up for poor service and poorly prepared food. 4 of us Had diner there on Wednesday ( it's the half off wine night) we are a frequent customer. The place was packed to the extent that the kitchen was struggling to deliver the meals....their food is always outstanding. The waitress that served us could have kept us in the loop as we were left waiting for more than an hour after the salad was served. I felt that she could have done something to alleviate that by offering a token appetizer, a glass of wine, something to say she understood to situation. The owner is outstanding and is focused on providing a great dinning experience.... And I am positive she would approve of her staff acting to minimize the negative situation.
