Horrible customer service. I called the corporate office a week ago and was supposed to get a call…read moreback within 48 hours. Nobody called me. I have been renting from them for years. When I moved out of one of my two rental spaces I had to wait for 45+ minutes for an employee to finish their bathroom break to unlock the gate and my storage space that was already paid for. I called multiple times the weeks prior to clearly communicate and even called the morning of my move to pay my daily rate. However, my gate access was revoked (even though I have a second space at the same facility paid through January) and there was a super-lock on my storage space I was moving out of. It cost me over $100 for their employee to go to the bathroom. (Employee verified to my husband who located him that he was on a bathroom break). I called the Monday after my move to explain what happened and I was offered a $25 credit. This acknowledges they were in the WRONG. Yet, why am I paying more than an additional $75 for their employee's toilet break? When I called corporate they tried everything to blame their error on me. I wasted another 40-minutes on the phone with them and was left with the promise someone from corporate would be in touch with me in 48 hours. No such call occurred. This is sheer ignorance and GREED on their end. This is a horrible way to treat a long term customer. Loyalty goes both ways. This is the shadiest company. They're constantly raising their prices and never return calls. When I called the store to initially complain the young man working there LIED to me and gave me a fake name and number to management. Store your stuff elsewhere. Unit B3084 09/09/2023 - date my money was wasted on an employee bathroom break at 11am - 11:45 am My team of 9 movers had nothing to move for 45-minutes and cost me $115, and made the end time of my move late. To resolve this I need an apology and $100 refund.

I normally don't leave reviews, but I feel like people should know about my experience. I rented a…read morestorage unit at the Joel location back in November, and from the beginning, it was unacceptable. When I first opened the unit, there was a strong odor, rat feces everywhere, dead rats, rat traps, and even a dead rat inside my unit. I attempted to contact the office multiple times before moving my belongings in and received no response, leaving me to clean the unit myself. The communication and customer service have been extremely disappointing. When I initially withheld payment due to the condition of the unit, the main concern seemed to be collecting payment rather than addressing the issues I was reporting. After filing complaints and completing surveys, I received little to no follow-up and was only offered a small credit that did not come close to addressing the inconvenience or damages experienced. Things only got worse when I lost access to my unit for an entire month because a lock was placed on it despite my account being paid and current. Again, multiple calls went unanswered, leaving me without access to my belongings. Now, after months of ongoing issues, I continue receiving automated emails about losing access to my unit while the problems I've repeatedly reported remain unresolved. Between the lack of communication, poor conditions, accessibility issues, and overall customer service experience, this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. I have photos and videos documenting everything and strongly encourage others to thoroughly inspect their units before moving anything in.

A friend recommended I try Morningstar Storage, so I decided to give them a chance. When I got there I was welcomed by Ashanti, who poor thing was about to take her lunch! Showed me a few options for different sizes so I could the right one! Walked me through the rates that happened to be great as they currently have specials on all of their units! She got me all signed up, and out the door in record time! I even offered to get her her lunch for cutting into her lunch time and even though she declined I appreciate how efficient she was! I highly recommend, this storage facility, they are climate controlled and offer insurance! Keep in mind you do need to pay for admin fess and potentially a lock, so don't get sticker shocked on your first months rent! It should be a one time thing so don't worry!
