That day came and he was a no show. We called and he completely ghosted us. He never called back despite repeated messages and calls. We called his cell. We texted him. A member of the team inadvertently busted a lamp shade, and John owned the breakage immediately and is working to resolve to my satisfaction. No equivocating, excuses, or attempt to shift blame. Yesterday, they came back to move more items for me and were prompt, professional, moved the items without delay and were an absolute pleasure to have in my home. i have used professional movers over two dozen times in my life and have NEVER had such a pleasant experience. After just 5 months, the rent was raised by 10.5%; if repeated, it would be 28% increase in a year. Making matters worse, it's impossible to reach administration to get answers about the increase, or anything other problems. Employees in local facilities can only send emails to higher-ups who simply refuse to respond. This is not the place to store your belongings if you care about anticipating/understanding costs or hoping to resolve problems that arise.

They showed up right on time and they were finished just when they said they would be. They also stuck to the estimate, which I really appreciated, and their prices are totally reasonable (last mover I hired cost literally $1000 more). And there wasn't a single thing broken, which was sort of a miracle because to be honest, I'm not a very good packer so other moves have finished with broken stemware and so on. Yes, it's COVID days, things go wrong, employees don't show up suddenly, but the wonderful Sheas did not leave me hanging, Brian did most of the move on his own (no easy feat when it's a third floor walk up), and Julie helped with the seriously heavy stuff. By 10 PM the move was done, a little later than expected and with warmth, caring and friendliness above and beyond any movers I have known. The team was helpful, patient and kind, and everything went smoothly with the loading process on a very hot day. I had my own covers for my couches, but they did an excellent job wrapping the last over-sized chair. These guys were very professional. I attached a couple of photos of the large, long-distance truck and the organization on boxes and other items. The quoting process was good, as Scott was personable and wore a mask inside my home during the COVID-19 lockdown period. The office was OK about the paperwork and emails - just be patient and follow up if needed. I'll also note that the moving company on the delivery end was not so great, but it's probably the roll of the dice. The driver admitted that my dresser was wrapped properly by the loading company, but the delivery guys unwrapped it before moving through the door, which resulted in some minor damage. All boxes arrived. Only one loose, inexpensive patio chair was missing (which I could have prevented had I packed it in a box properly. Overall, I was satisfied given my expectations of the long haul.
