The team had a positive attitude and greeted me with a handshake and a friendly smile first thing this morning. They all went above and beyond to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. Nothing was damaged, and they treated all of my home, furniture, and belongings with respect. Not to mention, I asked if they would drop of my mattress at my new place down the street from my storage unit (an added extra stop) and they said they would! I called at 2:00PM and they were here at 3:00 PM for the move. The man was so accommodating and very careful with all of the furniture, they wrapped everything and took it off after relocating it. In the end, it was Square Cow's overly confident answering service that convinced me to go with them. Big mistake. I hired them to move a large bedroom set from a second-floor bedroom to the garage--something I clearly communicated was not a simple task. I had over four phone calls, sent multiple photos, and explicitly discussed the risks and challenges involved. Each time, I was told everything was "in the notes" and the movers would be properly equipped with straps and the right tools. I even spoke directly with the operations manager the day before the move. He reassured me--again--that his crew would be fully prepared. He even advised me not to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was an easy job and not worth the extra cost. Then moving day arrived. The crew showed up completely unprepared. No straps. No proper equipment. Within minutes, they dropped the first piece of furniture, severely damaging it. The rest of the move was borderline reckless. The crew themselves admitted that Square Cow doesn't provide them with tools or care about their safety--or the customers' belongings. According to them, "Square Cow only cares about making money." After my experience, I believe it. I filed a damage claim, and now I'm stuck in their slow, unresponsive process that may take up to 90 days to maybe--maybe--get a fraction of what the damage is worth. Bottom line: they talk a good game on the phone, but they have zero follow-through. The left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and they clearly don't equip their crews to do the job safely or professionally. Their so-called claims department is a joke. Don't fall for the sales pitch. There are better, more honest companies out there. Square Cow Movers is not one of them.

Their initial compensation offer was $23. After six months of haggling and constant follow-ups, they finally offered $123. I was exhausted and just took it to be done. To top it off, this was a Texas-to-Florida move, and they were extremely vague about when my belongings would actually arrive. No clear delivery day, no transparency--just stress and uncertainty. If you value your belongings or your time, please do not use this company. A good first impression means nothing when they can't keep track of your property or communicate honestly.

As reference, I have moved multiple times, including from overseas, with little to no damage AT ALL. The following damages were sustained in this move: * broken and damaged finials on multiple curtain rods * my sons brand new bed was so poorly handled, the screws were ripped from the frame...and were completely gone * they lost the bolts that hold my refrigerator handles (they offered to order them, but all things considered I handled it myself) * the dryer was disconnected improperly so the connecting hose for the gas was damaged (also brand new) * multiple frames were damaged because they simply stacked them WITHOUT protection between each one Each crew was tipped very well in addition to the heavy cost of what I thought was a professional company. At first they tried to blame me for the missing small dresser. I had to threaten to call the police and magically they have the item. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE TEYING TO GET ANA TO GIVE ME MY ITEMS BACK. But here's the catch, they only brought me the items that were in the small dresser and not actually the dresser. The business owner ANA said that she will not replace my items because I didn't get the insurance. I didn't know you needed insurance in case they STEAL your items. Also her husband called me and cussed me out and called me Nasty names. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! There are 50 different moving companies in Houston/Katy!
