We loved our movers and they took amazing care of our belongings! UNTIL... the moving truck hit the gate at my boyfriends apartment building. At first they were great about it. Someone reached out and took all the information, reached out to the management company of the building etc. The management company sent a quote to Roadway for the damage, and we thought everything was in the works, and all would be taken care of. Well, its been over a month since our move, and after MANY emails, texts and phone calls we have not heard a PEEP from Roadway. This is unbelievably unprofessional, frustrating, and SO disappointing after the move itself was such a great experience. I am writing this review to hopefully get the attention of someone at Roadway, and get this taken care of immediately. Understandably the building wants to get this fixed, and supposedly someone from Roadway is suppose to come and asses the damage...but we have never heard from anyone. They are holding my boyfriends security deposit, and now I am afraid that if they get it fixed without roadways physical assessment of the damage, that roadway won't cover the damages at all and we will get stuck paying for it. Why did I need additional insurance to make sure they did the basic job of moving my stuff and not stealing my couch????? They reimbursed me $1500. half of what they owed me. I hired this company last minute, and while the movers showed up and completed a walkthrough, I was not properly informed about the capacity limitations of the truck. After reviewing all of my belongings--including items in the garage--the mover later stated that everything would not fit and that a second day of moving would be required. This lack of upfront communication caused significant inconvenience and additional costs. Because everything was not moved out in one day, my apartment charged me for an extra day of rent, and I also had to pay for a second day of moving services. Had I been informed ahead of time that the truck would not accommodate everything, I would have either rescheduled, arranged for a larger truck, or made proper accommodations with my apartment. Unfortunately, this situation felt avoidable and left me feeling that the situation was not handled transparently.

First, I paid for packing services. I told them I needed those things packed the day before or a few days before and not the day of moving. They call me the day before to cancel and say they'll come pack it the day of. Imagine the mess of one crew packing and one crew moving. It was sheer chaos. Then, it's moving day and they don't show up on time. I call and sit there as supplier tries to track these people down and get me answers and they reassure me they're coming. They were an hour and a half late! They show up with one truck and their team lead swears to and down that the other truck is on its way. They finish moving everything into the truck and this other truck (plus additional crew is not here now hours later). Since more people were supposed to come, and they started late, we're already very behind. Now, they realize everting won't fit because the other truck didn't come and they need to come back. It's clear now they're lying through their teeth. No other truck or crew is coming. A blind person can see that. This 5 hour move takes 10 hours. They know they've messed up really badly. They call another crew who shows up in the last 1 hour to help get this done. Everyone is exhausted especially me from all the lies. I refuse to work with a company who blatantly lies, and you should too.
