I went home picked up the six boxes And drove to the storage unit, Mind you the storage unit, my house and Home Depot are about seven blocks from each other. I get to the storage unit. It's about 830 AM, The sign on the door says open come on in. I try to open the door but it's locked. about five minutes still nobody I called the call center at (929) 547-9621, " they do not have a physical person that works at this location and that the key is inside the storage unit" I thought OK well I guess that's possible. But when I went to the storage unit and I attempted to open it, it didn't open it was locked. So I called the 929 number listed above again Spoke to a different person, The second person I spoke to Stated " They're probably walking or helping somebody into their new unit, And asked if I could give 5-10 Minutes" I gave 11 Person still not there. So I called the 929 number a 3rd time This time I expressed my frustration again and the lady on the phone Stated " There is one person for multiple facilities nearby. There was an emergency at another facility." It sounded like she was gonna ask me to just wait and be patient, but I cut her off and stated " That's not my problem, I want my money back. I have to return the van by 10 AM it's 926 " She said that she will put a request in for the cancellation While driving back home to drop off everything that was supposed to go into the storage unit A gentleman from this location called me and gave me a different excuse, He stated "Hi John, you requested a cancellation" I said yes he then stated "why" and I expressed my frustration again. Then he stated "Well, you need to understand sir. There is more than 100 units and I have to check every single one of them so you need to understand that" giving me an attitude. I said "then there should be two people working in that office not one, and that is not my problem that you have to go check everything". He then stated " Well what do you want me to do?" "To process my cancellation & my return like the Request says" I said. "Fine" he's said. I said "Thank you. You have a good day" right before I was able to hang up he said. "Fuck You" That's when I called the 929 number again unfortunately they don't have supervisors but they said that I should be receiving a call from upper management still waiting. This person that was on the phone was helpful, but she kept saying things like but sir, you need to understand no no that's not my problem. That's your problem going back-and-forth. When I signed up for my storage, I am pretty sure her name was Jasmine, she was such a doll. Sweet and just explained everything to you when you signed the contract. Greg, he's not very nice but he's respectful. Now Jason the "assistant manager" as he so pointed out when I asked his name (last Saturday August 30th) was beyond the most hostile and rude person I have dealt with here. Now let's go back to this scene last week, for the past couple of months or maybe even about a year or so (Sorry my dates are off as I just had a baby) they really want you to bring in your key fob to access the facility. More than half the time I don't have it because I'm running out the house. Anyways this particular day, I had both my 10 month old baby and my golden retriever with me. Obviously I didn't have my key but that's really nothing new recently with me. Anyways, I honestly don't remember if Jason was already sitting at the counter or if I had to call to get access. The point is when he buzzed me in, he asked me for my name and storage, fine ... and when I asked his name because his tone was just too crazy for me especially in front of my baby, he goes Jason and very loudly "the assistant manager." Boo, you're the assistant manager to a storage spot with a bunch old junk we are too attached go let go of ... claps! He buzzed us in and we walked to my storage. We literally not there more than 5 minutes as I just went in to get a pair of clogs since the wear is getting a little nippy. Tell me how as we are walking through the maze of storages, Jason just pops up. Like dude are you following me? Trying to intimate me? What is your deal? Whatever ... we just walked right passed him and left. He probably thought I needed him to buzz me out, no sir I know the doors open from the inside with the sensor. Safeguard, please do better when you hire these people! Have some kind of customer service etiquette... And the only reason why I pay the insane price they're now charging is because it's so close to my house. Also I don't even think your late charge fee is legal ... it's insane. People don't get a storage here .. if I could, I wouldn't walk I would run somewhere else; anywhere else.

You have to verify on your own the gas mileage and the condition of the vehicle. If you don't take pictures, you are liable. The vehicle I picked up was boxed in so I had to call someone over to move vehicles out of the way so I could exit. The drop off process is easy. The person who helped me with my drop off said I would get an email with the receipt but I never did. It's better if you ask for a paper receipt.

When picking up the van, we didn't have a full tank of gas. However, on the receipt, we only drove four miles BUT we were charged for the refill of 9 gallons of gas and the total ended up being approximately $116.00 due to the inflated price of filling up the tank and the service charge of $30. However, having only drive four miles, this would've have been less than a single gallon of gas. To anyone looking to rent from this place, do take a photo of both the mileage and the tank of gas at the pickup and at drop off. Luckily, we have the mileage as well as their website which states how much mileage goes off a single gallon of gas so we have the credibility to dispute. I will say, this issue was easily resolved with an email to the company.

    This was my first time hiring movers and J & G Moving exceeded my expectations! The move went so…read moresmoothly that I highly recommend them. I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. These guys provide excellent customer service and I was very impressed by them.
