Cute and casual ambiance. Not a ton of tables as it's one large room where you order and have tables. Service was fast and friendly. amazing empanadas. Lots of unique and yummy sandwiches to pick from and a few large dishes. Definitely worth coming back. I've tried the ropa vieja sandwich and the guava bbq sandwich and they are both super yummy. read more

Authentic Cuban food, this place is it! After one successful UberEats order, this place when it comes to empanadas they've stolen my heart. The food was made with LOVE! I tried three empanadas (ground beef, pulled steak had chicken) they were packed with flavor, in every bite. I also ordered a Jabrito Steak Sandwich with was breaded in a crispy plantain, delicious! I ate so quickly I didn't get to take many images! But I've added them to my favorites list, because running it back is a must! read more

The food was so good! Really enjoyed the cubano sandwich and steak jibarito. Loved the texture of the fried plantains in contrast with the steak. Will definitely be back. read more

Food and coffee were great. Coffe was my favorite. Had a Cubano sandwich but no parking available so struggled to get there

I tried this spot not long ago for their breakfast and was impressed; good service, tasty food so why not for lunch/dinner right? Welllll....not so fast; still got good service. I ordered a chicken jibarito with PR rice & companion ordered the steak jibarito w/white rice. Also 4 empanadas(chicken, guava & cheese, shredded beef, ground beef). The presentation looked good on the jibarito but no taste. The "garlic" sauce tasted more like paste. The rice was ok, not spectacular. The chicken was a thin chicken breast versus my Humboldt Park spot gives u chunks of chicken. The chicken, shredded & ground beef empanadas were aight, thankful 4 the sauce. The guava + cheese is their signature 1...delish. Hmmm. I may want to stick to their breakfast or travel to Humboldt Park. read more

Came in here for a quick bite and was not disappointed. It is super cute and clean inside, and my sandwich came out so fast. The cubano was delicious, with a great balance of flavors and ingredients. Definitely don't skip on trying a couple of the sauces! The price felt very reasonable at $11, and the staff member we interacted with was really friendly. read more

The food was excellent! To start off, I had the mango chamoy, which is like a mangonada, but it's made without the mango sorbet. But it's just as delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day. The chicken empanadas were excellent especially with the chimichurri sauce. I had the chicken jibarito which was good, but it was missing something. I then realized, I didn't put the mayo that was provided separately in a container. But I won't forget next time as there will definitely be a next time. My husband ordered the Cubano and steak sandwich, which he said both were tasty. My friend went there previously and ordered the chicken Caprese sandwich, which she loved and ordered again. I will definitely be returning. I was also speaking with the owner and he was so kind and helpful. If you're in the area, check it out! You won't be disappointed! read more

This place has AMAZING customer service my family and I didn't know what to eat everything usually just plain burgers, pizza. My friend and I decided to try a new restaurant and boy were we impressed with the food. It was delicious and I'm definitely going back with my family. The owner Señor Cesar was very attentive and brought us different sauces to try with our food and we asked him about the cafe cortado and we were pleasantly surprised that he provided us this coffee on the house. I ordered the empanadas de guava and cream cheese, they were delicious and went well with the coffee. My friend also said she would be back with her family as well. We found out that there's another location. The original restaurant but, honestly this one is perfect and closer to home. We will definitely be back since this restaurant is closer from our homes. There's a really nice selection of food and we were appreciative of the restaurant's attentive service. read more

I'm torn between 3 stars or 4. Walked in today, host/cashier, dry as a kite! I can't tell you she's rude, just super bland. Placed my order, once I grabbed it. I felt my to go was light. Opened, every thing looked good. Arrived to my destination, I wanted to cry! The rice has to be parboil. Not bad, just not my preference. I took a bite out of my jibarito, only to find out. It had the thinnest meat, I've ever had. I was like I should have went with my instincts, when I felt my bag was light. read more

Not eating the whole day & flying I was pretty hungry & wanted something close. I found this place after checking in to my hotel, I couldn't have been any more excited to see they had vegan/vegetarian options! So I tried it out. Sooo let me tell y'all. I just got off the plane at Midway. Ended up here due to another adventure with Vegan Mommy. She saw this restaurant had Vegan options & it was within a mile of the airport. Since we are on vacay we figured it's adventure time. Long story short, we are in a food coma. Me & my hubby (the meat eaters) had the sandwiches. The food is so authentic. We loved it. Don't skip the salsas (chimichurri, sweet habanero, mango bbq, etc). All bangers. Now mom has the Jibaritos, black beans, yucca fries. She's stuffed as well. Let me also thank the staff. They were so kind & helpful with my mom making selections. They made all of us feel welcome. This will now always be my stop of the flight when visiting Chi-town. Until next time read more

To say that I've waited for this place to open up is an understatement. I mean, I WAITED! Now I have to be honest, I think i expected a lot from this restaurant, as there is no other in the area like it. But the food is not what I thought. First off: the rice was very wanna be Puerto Rican and didn't reach its full potential. I mean, it was okay, but it lacked the flavor that Puerto Rican rice is known for. Come on now, this is a Cuban spot and should serve Cuban rice. If I wanted Puerto Rican rice, I would have stopped in a PR establishment. I wanted Cuban rice, but this is what they had besides white rice. It wasn't crowded at all, but they took a long time to fulfill the order, which surprised me. But let's get back to the food! Jibarrito (Grewn fried plantain sandwich) again is Puerto Rican, not Cuban. And the taste is not at all PR. Stop it and stick to the Cuban food we were promised. I will give them a better rating if it's warranted the 2nd time around, and I want them to succeed, but so far, it's not what I expect. I have to admit the dining area is nice, and it is good to come in to dine in, but the food better pick up speed as this is not what I expected. I am sorry I have to be honest, but I represent fidelity when it comes to reviews. read more

I am a frequent customer since spring or summer of 2025. The food here is AMAZING! The sandwiches are made fresh to order, the coffee bar is superb and the vibe is relaxing. Decided to try this place for the first time and it did not disappoint. The jibarito de lechón was on point. The plantain was fresh, the lechón had the right amount of seasoning. It was perfect. The rice was perfectly cooked (arroz con gandules). I also tried a few of the empanadas and they were packed with flavor. Wish they were a little bigger but nonetheless they were amazing. The owner came out and asked my family and I several times how everything was. Very attentive. He also offered us coffee which I absolutely loved. I will definitely be going back. read more
