Hired CSS to remodel my old staircase and they really transformed it into something modern and clean. They communicated well, showed up on time and finished on time. We were also living in the home during the remodel and I felt they did a good job keep the work area as clean as possible. I wood hire them again.

Bought a 32 year old house about 18 months ago and one of my projects was to redo the main staircase. I went with CSS because of the great reviews and great customer service from the owner Chris. From day one, Chris was responsive and helped me make my dream staircase happen. I choose a dark finish with black, high quality ornate wrought iron. I am very pleased with the results. Like with any home project, the cost can make you gasp a little bit. Talking to Chris I learned he employees full time employees not getting day laborers to work. These amazing men like the carpenter, Elmer; site manager, Steve; breakdown employee Hayden and stain finisher, Rodrigo worked hard to get iAll these guys are skilled workers. My project took about 3 weeks. Each stair had to be painstakingly made and fitted by Elmer. Chris was very good about keeping us informed what the next step would be. In conclusion, if you are looking for a professional company to redo your stairs I highly suggest CSS.

We can't say how much we love our new stair case. Chris and his crew took out our old outdated staircase and replaced with with this beautiful glass/wood combo. It really beautified our home. Th team worked so fast and so professional. Great experience and great results. See our pictures. Thank you Chris and team!!!

the quality of the stairs (white oak and white paint) and a white oak handrail with white balusters was great. however there were multiple issues working with CSS. they left dust all over the house. there was some confusion about what we received because there was poor communication from Chris (we weren't aligned on the size and molding on the posts). they promised to touch up the paint on the walls after payment but after two weeks I'm likely going to have wait another couple of weeks until after the holidays or do it myself and I had to reach out to Chris to get status on the touch up. not awful, not great, 3 stars.

We love the work Chris and his crew did on our stairway! Great people to work with and very responsive. The crew came early and worked hard and the result is beautiful! The cost was reasonable and less than a previous quote we received. Wish we'd done it years ago!

Could not recommend Chris and CSS stairs enough. Christ was easy to talk to and helpful in planning what we wanted from just a few conversations and pictures. Then Steve showed up with Elmer right as planned with much of the work prepared ahead of time. During the whole process we were able to access both floors of our house aside from a few hours while the finish was drying. Near the end of the project my wife and I weren't quite happy with the stain we had chosen, no fault on Chris or CSS. Despite this, Chris and Rodrigo when out of their way to make it right and we couldn't be happier!!!! In our research we there are really no there places that do this type of extensive and detailed work with such precision and experience. We have no regrets for making such a good investment into our home, it's a clear centerpiece when you walk in. They have my highest recommendation! See below for some before and after pics.

Let me first say I'm a bit of a finish carpenter myself so I'm fairly picky when it comes to woodworking craftsmanship and these guys know how to deliver Chris is the owner and always was prompt on all communications. A nice guy too. This is a company that's prides their work, shows up on time, works clean, and is respectful of you and everything in your house The main tradesperson in my job was Steve and I couldn't be happier with the result. After being in the business for over 20 years he knew what decisions to make on his own and which ones I needed to weigh in on. Even if something required a bit more work he would typically agree on my decision and went forward.....knowing you have a guy working on your house that works contentiously on a project, always wanting the best, is so rare these days. All woodworking is based upon accuracy although stair building I quickly realized adds a level artistry as there's a lot of out of plumb walls and things to throw off a straightforward build. In this trade you need people that can work through tweaks and nuances to deliver a beautiful product. Chris, Steve, and the team at CSS know how to deliver

We reached out based on the reviews on Yelp when we needed to install stair railings. We have a late 60's house with some very late 60's aesthetics that we try and enhance. Chris and his team delivered us EXACTLY what we wanted and worked with us every step of the way, easily and without hassle. We attempted to start this project a few times in the past and just couldn't get it where we wanted it for both design and price. This time it was great on both aspects, then enhanced with tremendous customer service and support. Every person we worked with listened well and offered ideas that were helpful. The end result is wonderful!

Chris and his team were fantastic to work with; Highly responsive, high quality work, done quickly (7 day A to Z) and at a fair price. Would highly recommend these guys for your stair renovation project!

I have been trying to get my stairs done since October. This company was the only one to follow through with the estimate and the work. Mathias was the builder. Every morning he was there on time, he communicated well, and my kiddos loved him too! They subcontract for the staining and paint, and even the subcontractor was great! Rodrigo was efficient and precise with the painting and staining. Over all I would recommend them to friends and use them in the future. Overjoyed that the project got done so well!

Beautiful craftsmanship! These stairs came out so beautiful. Chris is so friendly and accessible and his crew is super hard working. Highly recommend!

Great customer service and the guys that came to work were so clean. They also worked with us to make sure we got the final design we wanted. They work fast but also do things the right way. I highly recommend them

Our stairs came out amazing! Great quality and craftsmanship. I called several stair contractors. While CSS was not the cheapest, it was the most value for the price and quality of work. I was originally thinking of going with someone cheaper but Chris had mentioned to make sure that the stairs they were providing were not pre-fabricated. I'm so glad I ended up going with CSS stairs because everything is REAL wood and made with excellent craftsmanship. You can definitely tell the difference! Other contractors doing similar wood work were charging twice as much. Very happy with our stairs and Chris was very pleasant to work with. The guys who came to do the stairs worked fast and Rodrigo the painter was very nice as well. Highly recommend!

    Winpoint Construction - So nice

We had a tough time trying to find a contractor to fully remodel our kitchen. We interviewed eight…read morecontractors before we finally stumbled upon Winpoint, through the help of Yelp. There were many contractors with high Yelp ratings, but we found the majority of the ones we spoke with were outrageously expensive and beyond our budget. The few that were within our budget felt untrustworthy, based on conflicting information/advice other contractors had given us. Then, with met with Winpoint's owner, Jun Wang. At our initial consultation, Jun patiently spent a fair amount of time learning about the vision we had for the new kitchen. The communication was clear. His demeanor and conduct were professional. He explained what he could and couldn't (or shouldn't) do. At the end of that consultation, he submitted a quote that I thought was (finally) a good value and affordable. He said our project was going to take six weeks. When all was said and done, it took exactly six weeks to complete. No excuses for why they couldn't finish on time, despite whatever roadblocks they dealt with along the way. I appreciated that he pushed hard enough to stay on schedule. In the end, he did what he said he would do - there were no broken promises. That was important to me. Winpoint is a smaller company. It doesn't have all of the overhead larger companies have, which means, in his case, that lower operational costs get passed onto the customer. If you need something, you deal directly with Jun, not a telephone menu from hell, not a phone operator, apprentice or assistant project manager. While he did have other concurrent remodeling jobs, I found Jun to be responsive to our needs, questions and concerns and never felt we had to wait in line to get something done. Jun is very good at scheduling. We had no bottlenecks during our six weeks construction period. With the exception of cabinet and countertop installation, Jun does not use subcontractors. Electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, tile installation, window installation, etc. are all completely within his control, which basically means that anything that doesn't go perfectly can (and does) get fixed by his employees right away and, more importantly, to his (and our) satisfaction. All of his employees are very good at their respective areas of expertise. Any minor imperfections were dealt with and rectified in a timely manner. Overall, I can recommend Winpoint for your kitchen or remodeling project. If you are looking for a good value and quality work, Jun is your man.

In the past, we've had issues with contractors being difficult to reach or completely ghosting us, but that was never a concern here--communication was clear and timely every step of the way. Jun and his team remodeled two bathrooms for us, including both the showers and bathtubs, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The craftsmanship was outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows in the finished work. Everything was done with care, and the final outcome exceeded our expectations. The quote provided was also one of the most competitive we received, which made the decision even easier. There were no surprises, and the project stayed on schedule. Overall, we're extremely happy we chose to work with Jun and his team and would absolutely recommend them for bathroom remodels or other future projects.

I've seen projects for more than a year when they were promised it would be done in 4 months. One last thing, I don't like overly confident contractors who see your home as a paycheck and not your home. So when it was time for us to remodel, I felt vulnerable. I had no recommendations and I didn't know where to go to find an honest fair company. I contacted small companies, independent contractors and corporate companies. They all (100%) ignored us or never followed up. My wife believed this was just the process. Then I spoke to Henry. Henry came to our home on a Sunday morning 1/2 an hour before he said he'd be at our home. My first impression was he is different from anyone I've ever met. Henry is honest, polite, respectful, intelligent and funny. His vision of my kitchen and bathroom was completely different from what I envisioned but, we're happy we choose what Henry wanted to do. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues.
