It's a great place to give back. I enjoy the staff for the most part and you can make a few dollars too. The location at Olney Plaza I believe is the best. I visited everyone of them in the Philadelphia area and for me this location is the best. I would say give it a try. A lot of people that donate have jobs and are responsible people. This is about the Yeadon PA location. I arrived at about 350 PM as a new donor. The Staff looked at ID and said that I must go to the Broad and Olney location as they did not accept donations from Philadelphia residents. Then why is this not indicated on the website? I wasted half of a day to arrive here. Im not going to waste another day reporting to a location that is clear across the entire city of Philadelphia. I have read reviews about people who walk out of CSL plasma carted out to an emergency room because of their incompetence. They were not rude but the fact they had an armed guard is an indication of the interactions that go on at this place. NEVER GO HERE. I only wasted my time. Goodness only knows what these idiots could have screwed up. read more

i have tried CSL plasma twice now. They pay less than other donation centers and the workers are a bit hostile. Not sure why, this place is not popular and not busy. The workers spend a lot of time gossiping, they gossip about their jobs, the people donating, CSL, etc. Problem is, they do it right in front of you, you hear everything and its not a good feeling. If you hate your job and you hate the people that come to donate, maybe you should look for a different job. And there is always a line. Every time I have been there, only a few others showed up. Last time I was second in line and the line did not move. When 17 other people came in (finally) after me, things started moving but when I was by myself, I just stood there waiting. Their stickers are not the best. Its always painful and mostly I bleed and/or bruise when I take the bandage off at home. I get some neosporin and put on a band-aide till the bleeding stops. If I could give zero stars I would. I went through the entire screening process, waited in line to donate then they realized I had a walking boot on, just as I'm about to get called to donate. I'm told I have to see the nurse to get it documented so I get pulled from the line. I go to wait to see the nurse, the three people who got there after me were called. When I finally get called in, the nurse says she can't log it because I was moved forward to a different department in there system. I'm told I have to go through the entire process again (now there's a line formed that I'd have to wait in again) if I want to donate. Over an hour and a half of my day wasted without any compensation or sorry offered because they made a mistake and "didn't notice" I was in a boot until after I had already waited and gone through the entire screening process. I've only donated three times before the kiosks refused to register my information. When I went to vitals, I was escorted to one of the back rooms and was told that I'd have to wait until my protein lab results came back from my first donation. When I asked the nurses when my results would come back and how long I'd have to wait for my results, they kept telling me that they didn't know. I've been waiting to donate again since Monday 9/2. I've called every day since then, but the nurse on call kept hanging up as soon as I'd ask about my test results. The utmost disrespect and disregard is religiously practiced here. read more

DO NOT DONATE YOUR PLASMA AT CSL !!!! they return your red blood cells to you damaged. Each bottle of your plasma is worth like $1200.00 and they only compensate $47, $65 even $100 is actually a slap in your face. Especially when you stand in line for 2 hours. if you have to sit down you will be sitting on the floor. They have a habit of closing early due to 'lack of staff'. When you go to the app to do your health questionnaire-they should tell you they are closed early in big red letters. SINCE THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH STAFF, THEY SHOULD NOT GET ANY OF OUR PLASMA!! notice how these centers are located in densely black communities. STAND WITH ME AND STOP GIVING THEM YOUR PLASMA! maybe they will hire more people and pay at least 25% of what our plasma is worth each time we donate. read more

Not enough of a incentive, donating plasma yes helps lives but also if you are trying to make bills as well as donating to help people the incentives should be higher especially if they are making $1000's off of a $40 donation. read more

overhaverst numerous times, a lot of stickers are not licensed, they train phlebs on donors. they don't change gloves the attitudes, lack of wnting to work. thid my old place of employment but when you see how ran the mistakes they make then defer donors because of workers errors smh. happy I found some less stressful & slmost 9 dollars more read more

I think the workers know that those who are coming to CSL are in some way or another desperate. Yes, plasma saves lives but in reality, I do not think the donors care one bit about saving lives. They care about the money. The instant gratification. For me, when I first came, I was treated like royalty. I was ushered to the front of the line, my waits were all under 2 hours. The place was clean and staffed well. but things all began to take a turn for the worse after I earned my 800. Now that's a lot of money to earn for donating plasma. You lay on a bed and have them place a needle in your arm and you can watch a movie on your phone until they are done. Awesome. But after I got my 200 a week for four weeks, things took a turn for the worst. I was waiting in the physical line for over an hour. waiting in the donation line for over 90 minutes. And then on the bed for about 50 minutes. I went one Saturday arriving at 8 AM and there are over 60 people in line and not one bed full. The place was supposed to be open at 7 AM. People had lawn chairs and were sprawled out in the line on the floor. Folks came in pajamas, crusty faces, bad breath, body funk all to secure a place in line for $60.00 and yes, I was one of them crusty face,, bad breath folks to because I thought by getting there early I would avoid the line. But after 20 minutes I just gave up. These people are simply playing and profiting off of struggling folk mainly black and Latino. As of right now $110 a week plus a ish load of disrespect and disregard for a donors time is just not worth it. Unless I got some kind of "We miss you so here's a $200.00 welcome back bonus to return" I am done with this place. I do not have the time nor energy nor wherewithal to seek out any other plasma places to go because I am sure they disrespect and engage in the same practices CSL does. Overall the workers were pretty nice and the doctors were too but no way I have three hours in a day to stand in a line and lay on a bed just to get $60.00. Times are hard yes but I cannot subject myself to the disrespect and indifference shown by the staff here at this CSL. Ill miss the wings at Wing Spot and the Dollar Tree but not the three hour donation. That's crazy! read more

The fact that nothings changed after the years of people leaving bad reviews is beyond me. Not only that but the staff is seen talking to each other and messing around and they give you no explanations for anything and the wait times are still 2+ hours. Giving a single star is overrated! They are I'll equipped to handle more than 10 people at a time and still you end up standing 30-60 minutes to donate! They NEVER have one person on intake and that one person is as SLOW! They have all donors standing long long lines for hours. The max number of workers sticking for the donation I've ever seen is 3. People and workers do not wear masks properly and some of those who are donating are not wearing masks at all and coughing! Seriously the worst place to donate! read more

I need to stop going here. I don't need the money, but I can't find a part-time job with my crazy schedule. The people at the Front and Olney location are rude and unprofessional. They are cliquish. They don't give a crap about you. The supervisor couldn't be any worse. I even experienced being overlooked for being set up for donation because the ignorant woman, 'Nana' I think, didn't want to help me. It was not like I was unhygienic like most of the people there. They don't even know how to stick people--only one woman, who was not ghetto in any way, stuck me properly. I hope she quit and got a better job as that place treated her disrespectfully. I wish someone from corporate would come in undercover to see how badly these workers perform; 98% of them need to be fired. The Franklin Mills location is hands down the better location-- I just can't get there in time with my schedule. Anyway, donating only benefits Big Pharma. Best place to go in Cherry Hill. Very Professional. The staff is nice and the whole operations is what you would hope for. They have less staff because a lot of people don't go here so sometimes it can be empty, yet slow to check in. They are more strict that other locations with health issue but that is a good thing. This place doesn't feel like a meat shop like other centers. It helps its further from major cites, less people means less rushing, less mistakes. read more

I would not recommend this place at all. The staff is unprofessional, rude and unsanitary. I had to deal with this rude tech at the Olney locations name Dana, who first off had a terrible attitude and was extremely rude and i saw her touching trash and didnt wash her hands and then dropped stuff on the floor and continued to use it. There are two location in Philadelphia but not one is better the other. I been to both but this Location seems to be the most unprofessional. The music they play is very inappropriate for a work environment. The employee's behavior is also very inappropriate towards the peer and donors. I'll tell you my experience, The process is longer at this location but i went through the process after i completed the process it was not to my knowledge what location i could wait in. After waiting for 5mins a security guard approach me and told me i couldn't stand there I then realized to I had to use the bathroom so i proceed to the bathroom. When i enter the stalls were being used and the other ones where very dirty so i waited. After waiting like two minutes for a stall to open up a women security guard came in and told me i couldn't wait in here i then told her that i was using the bathroom; She stood outside the stall and kept telling me to hurry up which really made me uncomfortable. After i left the bathroom i proceeded to go outside to go to the car then she yell across the room thats her!!! I said lady why are you harassing me? She then followed me outside to further provoke me. I was deferred because this lady and everyone in this establishment did not serve me well and frankly was not equip to do their job properly. read more
