All the staff was very nice. The tech I had was clearly under the influence of substances. My arms are bruised and can't donate u at least 2 weeks . It hurts. I reach out to help to see if the staff members need treatment. The least they could have done I should of been compensated for the full amount instead of 10$, I .. I understood the risk , but I felt it's the responsibility of the company for the tech to be sober , this person was sweating(it was freezing and wasn't running around), pupils dilated, jabbed the needle and moving it around . it's one thing to have to have someone sober but a person under the influence try to get vein. I'm in the field and it was clear. When I called, the manager was nice but couldn't do much , had to wait 24-48 hours to get a response. This was Monday. The manager claim that he doesn't know what someone under the influences looks like.
Friday , since I didn't receive a call. Decide to go into the facility; the manager that said would call me had off. The manager had no attention of calling me. They didn't take serious. The person was still on the floor working , no drug test and it's past the time to test. Talk to another manager not her normal site, she took information and waiting for the region manager to come , I would be call by 4.
It's the company responsibility to make sure there employees to be not under in the influence. If anyone is going here make sure the employee is sober, because they don't care . They made it like a joke. Not only for this person to get help but didn't care of the donor as well.
I call again this afternoon , wouldn't let me talk to manger . they said the regional has it, which means nothing. I couldn't even get a call . Not one call but they had time to shut down my account.
Now it's Saturday, I still haven't received a call from manger
Sunday still no call. I decided to stop by after work. Derek was there and it was empty. I ask the security guard if I can speak to him. He went in the back, as I waited to speak to him. I saw multiple ppl in the back walk up from to take a look me. Then the security told me to go closer to the front. I waited over a good 30 / 45 mins. I would have understood if it was pack but it wasn't. The person was still working that was under the influence (I will NOT say the person name YET because the goal is not harm but help) as of today. After 45 mins,I left. This is a normal thing I believe because they are not taking this serious. I deserve a return call from Derek or someone from the company. Now it's the principle of it. I want the call back that I was promise.
If anyone is going to donate please be careful of who is the tech and make sure they are sober. Since the company isn't concerned about the donor or the staff.
Looking into my next step to contact the right people to help me.
Monday morning wake up and had a few dollars on the card, didn't spend. The money went to zero. STILL no call. Beware of this place.
Will post pictures of my arms soon.
Update:
After calling again the customer service, they told me that manage can't talk to me because I took legal action, which was NOT true. Then I was told to call corporate, I ask what is that number. The lady told me I don't know, I ask where is corporate? She said I don't know. How can I contact corporate if you can't provide information? Just go to the facility to talk to management then. I said I have already did that. I wait for over half hour (not busy) for the staff just to look at me. She says someone will get in contact within 24-48hours.
I did say I will be contacting an attorney, I didn't file any legal . The way this is being handled, this seems like this is normal. Which this raises serious concerns for the safety of donors, coworkers, and the individual involved. Impairment can lead to poor judgment, increased risk of accidents, and behavior that may be unprofessional or unsafe in a public-facing role.
If I was contacted after speaking to the manager Derek, 24-48 hours as promised and even stopping twice and no one is answering, first to see if he talk to the individual(will keep the an amenity of the person) and what happen (as he was still on floor, no drug test that day or consequences) and to be compensated for the amount, I should made and as long as my arms are bruised. If this person got away with it, they will do again and it will be worse than the bruises on my arm or this person can die.
I'm extremely concerned of public safety and for the individual. If they are handling me like this, must happen all the time. BE CAREFUL, read more
