Big fan of donating bodily fluids to a bank that will use said fluids for lifesaving treatments. In…read moreparticular, I enjoy giving over whole blood and platelets. The platelet donation is less fun, because it takes somewhere between 2-3 hours, and they have to puncture both arms (draw blood from one arm, send the blood into a machine so that the platelets can be separated from the blood, and then send the blood back to you via the other arm). But you know what? Small price to pay to help someone in need. In particular, platelets go to individuals who are fighting serious illness such as cancer, and the platelets can really make a world of difference for them. And it honestly does not hurt that much. Still not convinced to donate? Well they also have Netflix, and you can binge watch whatever you want while you're sitting in the donor's chair for 2+ hours. I just finished off Cobra Kai, myself. Last time, I plowed through 5 episodes of Seinfeld. Last bit of convincing I have for you - they have snacks! You get to sip on some "tropical juice" and eat Oreos or Cheez-Its or those Welch's gummy snacks or Nutter Butters... Not to sound like a dude in a windowless van, but it is a good reason to donate. *opens door and ushers you inside, looks behind you to make sure nobody is following, slowly shuts the door* Not but seriously - if you have never donated or it has been a while, and you're able to donate, please consider doing so. People's lives literally depend on it, and it costs you $0. Peace!

Very clean facility with lots of post-bloodwork snacks! However, the front desk upon entering the…read morebuilding wasn't too friendly and welcoming. This was a little jarring since it was my first time visiting but all the other staff were lovely! Planning on coming back here to donate :)

The one lady did not want to do her job. I am a hyper active person. I Pretend don't hear what…read morethey are saying I can hear clear as day. They made wait two hours. All the reviews are true. The doctor is expert she knows everything and she was toxicologist and expert. Ask her to sample the blood to over ride her of expertise because she said I know that you are intoxicated she refused. They laugh at people and disregard your feelings. She denied me a test and was unprofessional. Really didn't care but these phlebotomist judged hard and hurt my feelings. I am super hyper she thought she knew everything she put a light on my eyes and said I was intoxicated, which was not the case. Do not go there. They are more than scum of the Earth. Probably about six out of eight of them that worked there on February 23, 2024. I do understand it's a cash business that they pay out so they might be a little scared. I do it because I study and donate blood at the same time. They will waste your time and they think it's funny. I asked her for the test to prove her wrong. She just sat there because she knew she wanted to feel right for the day and not do her job professionally because she likes to to be prejudice which is the only word here. Do not give care to much and I peaked through the back. I noticed that there was maybe like three people that were back there and they did not want to do the job, but sit back in the back office and talk very uneducated, absolutely did not want to work. I swear there was five of them in the back room peeking out to see if someone was in line, I run a business myself I've never encountered the laziest employees in my life go to American Cross Blood donor in Levittown, PA. I'll go there the wasted time I can t get back for what I can tell you is they are prejudice thinking that people are something they have no because they are not toxicologist or a DUI specialist or anything. I cannot stress enough, but I say lazy. Can you imagine what people are they surround and eat all the time and they don't burn energy to you can deduce just like I did in a nice way so mean man whiny complain you don't have to listen to me but if you think they're giving you an attitude they're playing the whole time and the biggest scam is after the two hours is just about when they're gonna get you in the back they tell you in the doctors office that they can't and they make you wait too long hours and sit there with a straight face and they almost laugh she wasn't good enoughand tell you to leave and defer you not to come back for 30 days they get off on it sick man because some people do it and they need to pay their bills and they're messing with their lives.

I was sitting in the back for maybe 45 mins so I just upped & left. I understand wait times may vary but come on, new donors are usually supposed to get the next available bed but there was a bunch of other people in the return line being seen ahead of me. I was in there for maybe a little over 2 hours & didnt even donate. NEVER AGAIN. I haven't been to the Audubon location but I know I damn sure won't be going to this one anymore.

I heard American Red Cross was doing a collaboration with Hello Kitty exclusively for the month of…read moreSeptember so naturally, I signed up to donate blood. My appointment was yesterday. When I arrived for my appointment, a woman at the front asked if it was my first time donating. She proceeded to tell me their records state the last time I donated was 2007! Sounds about right because I remember I was in high school. She took my vitals and asked me a few questions. Another woman named Kim came in and checked my iron again because the first time the results came back unreadable. After everything was verified, Khalia(?) took me to one of the donor beds and asked me to get comfortable. I was squeezing a ball the entire time I was laying down. The process was quick and easy. Khalia made me laugh and kept the conversation going which helped me not focus on the needle too much. When the donation was finished, she handed me the Hello Kitty plush toy and asked me to sit in their dining area for at least 10 minutes and help myself to water, juice and snacks. In the dining area, they had cute little Hello Kitty signs. I personally love the collaborations they have been doing lately. I believe there was one with Snoopy last year. This was a great location to visit after not donating blood for so many years. I had a very pleasant experience!

The staff are friendly and get you in and out in a reasonable timeframe. I've been to other locations where this was definitely not the case. With my most recent blood donation, I was a little nervous just because of the current pandemic, but I felt they did a really good job with adhering to guidelines. It also appeared they were staggering appointments so that only 2 donors were in at one time. Easy parking is also a plus!
