Sadly, employers are desperate for help so they keep these people around to keep the lines moving. The kindness of the others makes up for these 2. When you plan to do a, plan on being here 2-3 hours. It comes out to an average of $15/hour per visit. Be sure to follow their directions about eating and drinking so that you don't get sick. You have to take care of yourself before you can help others. They received new machines this week but I have not experienced them yet. There will be changes to the rates and times it takes for donations.

Over the years they've made tons of improvements to the facility, including adding many flat screen TVs, free WiFi, and portable DVD players with a decent selection of movies They still have plenty of snacks, including Sweet Street's donation (usually a loaf of lemon or poppy cake).

I submitted a request for an appointment at StemExpress online and received a call minutes later. I was able to set up an initial appointment for that day. I wasn't sure what to expect walking in but the decor was very clean and welcoming! The staff was super friendly and offered me snacks. I filled out my paperwork and was taken right back. The initial draw was a normal amount for tests. The whole process was super quick and I was really impressed with the entire experience.

I would really recommend donating platelets if you have the time. I believe it takes about 2-3hrs in total but you would really be helping cancer patients. I would really recommend calling and getting more information about donating blood or platelets as well as just make an appointment to just go donate. You could be saving someone in your own families life. You never know when or who will need the blood or platelets.

Walking in, I was greeted and provided with the absolute best service you could get while sitting still for two to three hours. I mentioned that I had an issue before with my return arm and they decided to flip arms and even use a different vein. It was actually so much more comfortable for me, for this long process. I think this will be my new location going forward.
