I'm pretty sure I watched the entire lifecycle of a houseplant while sitting there. Understaffed doesn't even begin to describe it. It felt like three employees were trying to run an operation built for thirty. Phones ringing, lines backing up, people waiting everywhere, and the few staff members present looked like they were moving in slow motion. Not rushed. Not hustling. Just... gliding through time at a pace that suggested they had nowhere to be for the next decade. Every step took forever. Check-in? Forever. Screening? Forever. Actually getting seated? A saga. I've seen sloths show more urgency crossing a road. The frustrating part isn't even the wait, it's that you can clearly see the bottleneck happening in real time. People stacked up. Staff casually strolling between stations. No sense of urgency. No communication about delays. Just vibes and fluorescent lighting. The manager Dani was /is the best phlebotomist who I was stuck by, as well as Sam, Cornellio, Maria, Maya, August, Logan, Nick, Nadya, Steven, Noah, Tami & Tad. The reception team is also very friendly & efficient - Jeff, Avery, Justin, Shin Suan & Hiedi. Couldn't ask for a friendlier & more competent staff. This center is absolutely disgusting. An employee deliberately blocked my dad from turning out of the parking lot twice. He saw that my dad was turning right so he reved up his engine and went from the left lane to the right lane and sped up to get in front of my dad then completely stopped so my dad went to get in the left lane and the employee (whose too scared to give his name)got over in the left lane in front of my dad and then completely stopped in front of him again. So my dad got out of his vehicle and asked him if he "wanted to go" and the employee sped off. My dad who was going in for his first donation, then proceeds to go into the center and watch the video, they took his social security number and all of his information. This employee then came back from his lunch which means he was not on the clock, then proceeds to tell his equally incompetent manager that my dad threatened him. So then they stopped his process and deferred him from ALL CSL locations. The employee has no proof of this "threat" but my dad sure does have the whole incident on his dash cam. Then the employee proceeds to call my dads place of employment as the phone number was on the side of the truck he was driving, which his place of employment does not care because it's all on dash cam. Absolute trash. Both the employee and manager. Maybe next time don't act like you have a set if you're just gonna speed off like a coward the run and cry to your manager like a child. I had a pretty good experience, the staff was friendly. I think the lady that inject the needle into my arm wasn't fully trained , she bruises it pretty bad and they had to have a more experienced employee put the needle into my other arm. The lady that accidentally hurt me was nice so I don't mean to bash on her but I didn't like that she wasn't hit the nerve in my arm. This picture is of the bruise it left is 4 days after she hit a nerve in my arm or something like that. This is your first time getting plasma, I would suggest a list of things; 1. Hydrate and eat well.(not wear your full, but more of healthy clean food without all the trans fats, and sugars) it's important because this will determine how fast your plasma and blood could get separated by the machine, which will result in a shorter time being at the clinic 2. Come early! Due to people coming at times of convenience it's smarter to come in the morning when you barely ate anything and you're just starting your day. The intake process took about 2 to 3 hours for things to be completed. Just make sure that you have blocked off some of your day for it. 3. Bring headphones or book and a stress ball. Those will be key while donating due to how time-consuming it can get. Overall, my experience was good. Staff were a little bit overwhelmed, so they can come off as a little forgetful, but the phlebotomists are great. They're really supportive and will be there for you. read more

I've called to complain, but she is STILL being rude, abrasive, threatening, loud, unprofessional, mean, arrogant, rough, breaking HIPAA, disrespectful, and the list goes on. She embarrasses donors, talks bad about people when they leave, yells across the floor, lies directly to my face about how she can do what she wants because she's a Senior, she kicked my chair instead of asking me to get up. Total BS. My next step is to call corporate. Do yourself a favor, read the reviews on here and other places and you'll see her name there too. DONT waste your time going here they are always short staff. They say they open at 7 AM but then tell you come back at nine we are short staffed. The people that work here are very nice. Don't get me wrong but clearly they don't have workers that are reliable. I live in Beaverton and drive all the way out there so the amount it took me to drive out there and come back and no compensation is not worth it for me.. Most unprofessional staff I've ever encountered out of all 6 csl centers I've been to in various states, lazy, carefree, disrespectful and short with donors. TLDR: tips for first times - know your medications -be prepared for a 3 hour visit to get signed up -bring a blanket or heavy jacket, you will get cold - find friends to refer to up your cash The process of getting signed up to donate is a lengthy one so when you come your first time set aside 3 hours for the whole experience. They have you read forms, watch a 16 minute video, do a health questionnaire, take your finger print, and do a physical before you can donate. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. The facilities were clean, organized, and well designed/ labeled. The donation process itself was almost entirely painless. I'd say the most painful part was probably the pin prick from the test they do on your finger beforehand. The insert of the needle was more uncomfy than painful. Definitely was a weird sensation, pretty cold, to feel your blood pump out then back in, but wasn't painful. Bring a blanket or heavy coat because when they pump the blood back in they use an anticoagulant that can make you fairly cold. The first time you donate they give you $100 on a prepaid card. It's also worth noting that you will need to activate said card by calling the number they provide before you can use it. If you are in this for the money, try to go once a week for the first 45 days, 8 visits in total, and you get a decent sum before the rate drops. Refer your friends and you'll get more money as well! read more

I was a first time donor and understood the process could take a long time. I was told to expect it to take about 2 hours and it ended up taking about 3.5. You feel a little persecuted going through the screening process, but it kind of makes sense when you consider the health risks involved. It took 2 people and 2 attempts at inserting the tube in order to get started. The pain of the injection was minor although the actual process was pretty uncomfortable: Nausea, dizziness, tingling, light-headedness, hot flashes, and extreme cold at times as well. All in all, I'd say for at least the first 4 weeks it is worth it. So long as you go about 2x/week for those 4 weeks you can make about $800. After that it is only $40-$60 per visit and that is not at all worth it. read more

On top of that the guy who denied me the third time was an absolute jerk about it. I understand being understaffed but to be rude about it come on dude seriously. I started going here instead of Talecris in Portland because it's closer to me. But I do miss that they pay way more and have actual appointments, visits over there were fast. Visits here very slow, never enough staff?! Staff is very friendly, but please come up with appointment system. I came in today and turned right around and left the waiting lines were ridiculous long for 11am. I want to keep going here but I think a longer trip to Portland is sounding better now. Came back the next day at 8am, line long, two staff members checking in. After almost being checked in, the staff member missed up so I had to wait longer and three people went ahead of me in line. This is really frustrating, definitely will be my last time coming here. The process needs to be faster, and it can be done, I've seen at other centers. Staff still friendly. Both of my phlebotomists so far have given me massive bruises, one per arm. My information got mis-entered at least twice, which made it take way longer for me to donate each time. The guy who seemed to be the floor manager (at least he was the one bossing everyone around), called my phlebotomist over during my last cycle, and he goes, "Hey, who stuck this guys arm? You stick this guy?" "Yeah" The kid comes over. "What's wrong with this? What do you see wrong here?" They both stand there, all three of us staring at my arm (which btw has been extra uncomfortable the whole time, but I say nothing). The kid: "uh... don't tell me it's upside down?" "No..." Another long pause. "Absolutely nothing!" boss-man goes, like a joke or something, and I'm (internally) like lmao wtf. I didn't think you could get worse bedside manner than in a hospital. Then, bossman reassures me they will apply my $10 first time bonus (also the second time in as many visits I have been told this) but they absolutely do not. I put a long sleeve shirt on, and when i take it off hours later, tissue around the injection site and between the wrap was purple and swollen like a golf ball. I think CSL used to give people $5 bonuses to write a positive review or something, which is why there are probably a lot of generic sounding positive reviews. to be fair there are a lot of very nice, helpful and courteous employees, and the place is kept very bright and clean. But overall the game is slacking, and they can afford to slack bc at the end of the day ppl just want their money. read more

Had a pretty good 1st time experience with the staff. Friendly, professional, good experienced phlebotomist. I'm a hard stick and I had an easy time. Unfortunately I felt nauseous 3/4th of the way through. However, Adrian quickly reacted in a calm manner and had me feeling better within a few minutes. No lingering side effects the rest of the day.
