So this was my first visit to CSL Plasma it was not too busy (but that might be because of the time of day around 11:00am) The staff was pleasant and helpful. The visit was long (paperwork, testing and physical exam) but I was assured it was because it was my first time and should be quicker next visit. I would suggest that you bring a stress ball during the donation as you need to keep making a fists to help pump. AC was also nice. I will visit again! read more

After being honest and telling them that I was on an antibiotic and therefore deferred for two weeks, I should've been given, what they need to invent, is a deferral card with a date that I can return, and also stating the fact that I would have to completely start over again resulting in me wasting my time, again. I found the staff most inconsiderate, cold, and uncaring seemingly to enjoy saying the word " unfortunately." I will take my donations elsewhere from now on. I started back up as a "new donor" after having let my previous donor status lapse. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and pleasant to work with. The wait time was pretty long, but I happened to walk in on a day/time where there were a handful of other new donors also checking in. I particularly appreciated help from both Carlos and Margaret (both phlebotomists on the floor) as they were personable, very effective at their jobs, and I trusted their expertise. The wait time is short, the staff is friendly and funny, great place to spend an hour or so if your time.

The new donor process took quite some time as you have to take a short literacy test, read an info pamphlet, watch a 15 minute video, do a physical and answer a quick 60 questionnaire. But the staff was knowledgeable, efficient and won't take up any more of your time. The nice lady who did my physical showed me around and took me to the donation floor. They also gave me a granola bar and a Gatorade. The actual donation didn't take as long as I thought and I would recommend being headphones or even a blanket if you get cold like me. read more

Definitely recommend this process and this specific location staff. Very helpful, professional, and just nice. This is what the process was like for me: The intake process for a new donor is lengthy, I got there around 2pm on a Monday and walked out after donating around 5:30pm. That being said, there were lots of returning donors and a few new donors, so it was pretty busy. The staff really did seem to try to keep the process moving quickly. Bring your physical SSC! This clinic offered me a water or power aid if I wanted it. They will check to make sure you can read in order to properly provide consent, then you'll watch a video about the entire process. You then go into a room where they do the health screen. You answer 60+ questions related to your health and personal history to see if you qualify to donate (pretty few things that would disqualify you). You get asked about piercings and tattoos, location/size/number. You can't donate if you got pierced/tattooed within the last 4mos! So time it right, I didn't find that out until about an hour into the process, but luckily I hadn't. They also weigh you, take a quick blood sample from a finger, and do some quick tests to make sure you can donate from a health standpoint. They run you through the process of donating should you become a return donor and answer questions about the health screen. They also set you up with your prepaid debit card and explain how to use it. Then they take you into another room and do a quick physical, get more consent, and finally will walk you back to get hooked up to donate. I skipped a very long line! While donating you can't sleep, talk on the phone, or do anything with sound on your phone unless you have headphones. No eating/drinking either at that point. One of the employees will come over and explain the entire process of donating and answer any last questions before actually donating. I am a HUGE needle weenie, but this was very easy and tolerable. Was done in around 45min, and you walk out of the donation room to your car. You can set up your card then and immediately have the funds! Overall, it was worth it to me. Definitely donate at least twice, they won't use the plasma if you only do it once, and you get paid more for the second donation. The cost drops again after the second through the eighth donation and then again after that. Payment does depend on weight, there are 3 weight groups, those over 175lbs getting paid about $10 more than the lightest group. You do have to be at least 110lbs to donate. Oh, and as for how I felt after- completely fine! Didn't bruise even a little bit, and I bruise VERY easily. 10/10 recommend! And let me know if you want a referral code lmao read more

i gave them 5 stars at the beginning of being a donor. Now I revise to 1. I received a bonus notification from CSL to return to donating after taking time off. When I went to the Hillsboro Center (9/6/22) no one could help process the bonus. I was passed through 3 employees, including a business manager, and got nothing. That manager asked me to call the next day (9/7), I did, and was given a very rude reply. I returned to the center on 9/8 to donate a second time and spoke with an employee who gave me part of the bonus (it is a 3 part bonus) and a card for the second bonus. I believed, as she didn explain, that I was to give that to the tech after that donation and would receive part 2 that day. The bonus notification clearly states the parameters and I was doing this as they instructed. 24 hours later, no bonus. I called the center and spoke to the person who assisted me with the bonus. They now state I have to return to donate a 3rd time to get that 2nd bonus. This is clearly NOT what CSL promised. I upheld my end and they won't pay. I have sent 3 on line requests for help and 1 call to main CSL as the center won't help. It is a small amount and this may seem petty but to some of us that money means a lot. If they send notifications to donors CSL needs to find a way to communicate to their employees on how to process this. Otherwise don't promise people something and then cheat them. There are plenty of other places to go. I will go to Grifols since CSL seems incapable of upholding their end of a deal. I realize they don't have to pay but I don't have to donate so goodbye CSL Revising that they did respond to me after posting reviews and contacting the BBB. They did rectify this issue. I won't return but they ended up fulfilling their end of the deal. Idk if it is because I took action, as before they weren't helpful. This place pays more and is cleaner than other plasma centers I have been to. The staff is nice, the bathrooms are clean, and they seem to take better care of donors. For first-time donors, they give you snacks and a Power Aid to drink before donating. One thing that really stood out to me is that for first-time donors they do 5 cycles on the machine instead of 3 so that you get more frequent returns and are less likely to have a reaction. I didn't have a reaction, and the donation process felt a lot gentler because of this. Overall, this is probably the best plasma center I have gone to (and I've been to several throughout my life), so I would definitely recommend CSL Plasma if you want to donate plasma or need some extra money. read more

Updated after donating for some time now, well since June 2018.....Do not waste your time going here. There are certain staff people that are great.....Debbie, Jen, Brandon, Chin, they are awesome. Devin is not. He's stuck me more than once, and I have left with hematoma's that are large enough to take up to 3.5 weeks to heal. Additionally, this past week, he could not stick me yet again, but left the needle in for another staff member to look, but after they prodded they couldn't either. I knew it would be another bruise too. Then a third person came, then I got sent home, luckily this time I got paid. However, that was the first time it happened. He has a cocky attitude, he has bashed other staff member's in front of me. Today I brought this to management's attention. I was informed to bring it to management's attention when it actually happens. Yet, I have heard other staff voice their concern about him and his attitude as well, why is this person still here? When I had the issue with him the first time it happened, I thought the person I talked to was management, apparently it wasn't. However, my wife had a similar issue with him, and a machine malfunction. Not only, was she ignored when she told him about the machine, he blamed it on her "diet" the day before, and she wasn't able to receive her red cells back to her that day, and ended up being deferred for 8 weeks, while he disconnected her and then took the machine out of commission for that day. While she overhead him speaking to another staff member about how the machine had been giving them issues all day that day. Lovely. Additionally, today, I was able to see how often I had been deferred to "medical" for these checks for bruises and there were several times, however, it stated I had passed the majority of them, only having failed three of them. I felt this was completely inaccurate. I didn't have my planner with me to dispute this, but I specifically remember going back one week three times to get a bruise checked to see if I could donate, and failing all three times. Something isn't right here. It's unfortunate because it's always one person that can make the entire apples bad. I've decided to stop donating all together. read more

This place thinks We, as donors must be math idiots. You lower the fee by $8 for two donations. Then turn around and give a $10 bonus for two donations in a week. This equates to $ 1 bonus per donation. A dollar bonuses! Go @#$@ yourself. July 4, 2022. I saw a donor upset and standing, waiting after donating. He left upset (I couldn't Hear). Then another upset donor. The third one was close enough for me to hear. By the time I left the nine people I could see were all distressed. They and I have bills, I could visibly see pain on people's faces. I came on June 22, 2022, and three staff members call out sick (sunny weekend). So, I and several donors wait outside for over a half hour for the door to open. Then I spent over an extra hour in your clinic due to your staffing issues. I did not even receive your famous $ 1 bonus. Raffles are not fun. We do not want Baseball tickets. We have bills! We come in for $$$$$$$$$$$$ I have noticed several health violations. The two most important: 1) No one was wiping the thermometer down between clients. Till I said something. This thermometer gets held by every person. Gets held up to your nose, and who knows where they have been scratching. Get contactless thermometers like Talecris plasma. 2) I have seen several employees Disconnecting patients without changing gloves. The fact that they still don't change glove between patients when there is a pandemic going on is ridiculous! It should be something all medical assistants , phlebotomists ....really anyone that deals with blood need to do!!! I went there yesterday and saw one of the phlebotomists use the same glove to take care of 2 other guys before me and clean the equipment before she took my needle out. Great donation center! For your 1st time I recommend calling first to see if they can take you (in case they are short staffed) and ask how long the wait is. Staff was really nice and answered my questions while I was donating. Bring snacks and mayb cover up a little it can get cold. After a long drive, CSL kept me waiting, and then had me fill out some forms, and then kept me waiting some more, and then gave me a blood test, and then kept me waiting even more, and then made me disclose my entire medical history, and then kept me waiting still more, and finally just said "No." The reason for the "No" was a simple question that I could have easily answered from home. CSL robbed me of four hours, plus some blood and car fuel, and invaded my privacy, and it was all for nothing and completely unnecessary.
