I've been coming to this plasma center for the past 10 years and they provide superstore service to all other CSLs. The manager Dani was /is the best phlebotomist who I was stuck by, as well as Sam, Cornellio, Maria, Maya, August, Logan, Nick, Nadya, Steven, Noah, Tami & Tad. The reception team is also very friendly & efficient - Jeff, Avery, Justin, Shin Suan & Hiedi. Couldn't ask for a friendlier & more competent staff. Sure the lines can be long depending on time of day, but they always do their best.

Update: I went back a few days later and the staff was incredible. Polite and informative. Painless and quick. First appointment takes about three hours. Will definitely be back! Original review: My first experience was a bad experience with one employee and not a reflection of the rest of the team.I made an appointment as a first time donor, drove 20 minutes in traffic to be turned away by a guy who gave 0 craps about helping me. He told me that it would take him too long to intake me and he would have to stay after his shift to help me so he instead sent me away. Very disappointed in the customer service and attitude of the staff. I was there almost three hours prior to closing. Shame on you CSL.

Bruise on arm from the improper needle injection

I had a pretty good experience, the staff was friendly. I think the lady that inject the needle into my arm wasn't fully trained , she bruises it pretty bad and they had to have a more experienced employee put the needle into my other arm. The lady that accidentally hurt me was nice so I don't mean to bash on her but I didn't like that she wasn't hit the nerve in my arm. This picture is of the bruise it left is 4 days after she hit a nerve in my arm or something like that. I think she also put the needle in way too fat and at a wrong angle, which is why the bruise extends to the side

Employees causally chatting and on their phones as they refuse to open the center at the listed hours of operation.

Understaffed and north lane is a terrible bank they run their cards through. Not worth waiting 2 hours with barely anyone in line

Everyone there is super friendly! I was nervous being a first time donor but they answered all of my questions and made me super at ease.

What is the payout for first timers 200lbs in hillsboro?

I just started a month ago at CSL Hillsboro. They pay 100 for 1st, 125 for second (they can only use your plasma after 2nd donation so entice you to return), then $100 for donations 3-8. If you went all month with 2 donations a week you can get… Read more

We had Amber the first two weeks and she's super experienced and excellent at teaching and explaining content as well as helping you memorize a lot of things for the exam. The next 3 classes we had Chrissy because Amber was on vacation. She's very well experienced as well and she let us practiced venipuncture and butterfly needles as much as we wanted, til were confident with our skills. So this helped me A LOT. Overall I would recommend this program to anybody. I had about 15 people in my classes from different ages, color and background. We all got a long and learned a lot together. This course will definitely help you prepare to become a great phlebotomist and they even give you tips on applying for a job. Wonderful place! I will miss it! (I just graduated yesterday‍)

The textbooks and study guides were riddled with typos and wrong information that she neglected to explain.

Meant to review this earlier- Donated plasma for the first…read moretime in Wednesday. Went into the clinic around 10am (they are walk in only). I had gone in once before to donate; however because my blood pressure was so low i had to come back and try again. At the front desk is a really nice brown haired guy; and every time i've come up to the desk or something he's been nothing but amazing and kind. the first time i came he helped me w my paperwork and was so friendly. The process went pretty fast for me because i had all my information in the computers already (the v first time i went there was a girl w glasses and short platinum hair; she was so nice and friendly). This most recent time there was a tallish man with red hair pulled back- he was super kind and helpful. He helped me through my physical and all of the other steps- brought me a snack and gatorade so that the donation would go faster as well. I'm really scared of needles (but the prick doesn't hurt). While sitting in the chair i was beginning to get panic attacks; and the guy who had put the needle in was really sweet about checking up on me (i think his name was jeremy). i was only in the chair for about 30 minutes. A girl with faded greenish hair came to help me out- when my needle came out my arm like.... exploded in a gush of blood and she was really helpful about getting me wipes for my clothes and hands.... she could tell i was super cold and shaken up; and tried her best to talk to me and lift my spirits before i left. The people who work here are absolutely the sweetest and made my time here so pleasant. They really make you forget that you're sitting in a clinic for a few hours to get stuck by a needle.

When people go back for their screenings, you can hear their conversations from the waiting room, posing a risk to the respective donor's PHI, potentially violating HIPPA. These are just some of many unprofessional episodes witnessed and experienced here. As someone who works in healthcare, I am horrified and disgusted. Unacceptable. I'm surprised they are still in business.
