Came in for a last minute appointment while visiting the area from out of town. The staff were patient, friendly, professional, and accommodating. This was genuinely one of the easiest visits to a doctor I've ever had in my entire life. Overall, I can tell a true effort is being made here to make all patients feel respected and taken care of with dignity. They were able to provide same day treatment for my condition. Will not be paying another $700 for another botched abortion and doctors who make weird notes on my chart (actually the weird note was from another location but it's all the same). The only good and fast thing about pp is that I can get an appointment quickly. The actual appointments are one of the least enjoyable parts of the human experience and I'm not even exaggerating. I will preface by saying that I stand by Planned Parenthood's mission and have no problem with their goals as a company. However, the people running the office are extremely incompetent. Don't bother making an appointment, because they will leave you waiting at least half an hour past your appointment time. My main gripe with them is about billing. I have been going back and forth for months on end about them billing me things incorrectly. Whenever I go to any doctor's appointment, I ask them to make sure everything is in-network. They were polite and said, "Of course." Later, I get billed for a lab that is out of network and I was livid. I called my insurance immediately to see if they could resolve this and they said that I had to call Planned Parenthood about this. They basically told me that there's nothing that they can do and I just have to pay the bill anyway, despite it being their mistake. Lovely. read more

I usually despise going to hospitals and the like, so I was incredibly hesitant to come to this place, but a pressing matter forced me to. My nerves were out of control, but they were calmed upon speaking to one of the staff at the front desk. This experience continued to improve and I felt very comfortable with both the check in nurse and the female physician. The costs were fairly low as well and if you don't have insurance there are many programs to help cover your services. The wait wasn't too long, as I was called back within 15 mins of my scheduled appointment. The only sad thing is the fact that they've had to put up so many security measures; for example, you might have to wait outside before you are let in. This is something that change from the few years back when I was last here. There are also some rather annoying protestors who make it their business to harass patrons. So the reason I went in in the first place was to get a blood pregnancy test. I had taken a pee test at home which was positive and I knew the next step was a blood test. I asked for a blood pregnancy test at PP and was told they only give blood pregnancy tests if I want an abortion. I did not want an abortion, I was trying to get pregnant! So I took a pee test at PP and was told I was NOT PREGNANT. I was told their pee tests were much more accurate than the at homes ones. I took another at home pee test the next day and it showed up pregnant. Made an appointment at another doctor who was happy to do a blood test and it came out PREGNANT. read more

Friendly staff & helpful. First person I spoke to though made a bad impression: Anne the assistant manager is a stickler for 'policies' and uses a lot of filler words and legal jargon to basically say she can't reveal any information about herself when asked if she personally uses contraceptive, as if she's being audited by the CEO of Planned parenthood. Not personable whatsoever. Seemed like she could use a day off, maybe? Either way all the other ladies seemed easy going & friendly. Fyi Had a 12:10 appointment, got here at 11:45am and had all my paperwork filled out before I walked in the door... 2:30pm and Still waiting. Was seen at 2:48 and had a 10 minute talk with the clinician and then the women's health nurse practitioner, Kathryn and Eliza were both very friendly, honest, real, nice and knowledgable. The wait time was the lamest part. At the end made a donation. On the flip side: easy to find, second story of brick building, plenty of parking, clean, offer hand sanitizer and water, magazines to read, music was a bit loud. All in all, improvements can be made, although I AM Grateful for the services offered by Planned Parenthood. read more

I can't rave about Planned Parenthood enough, and I adore this location. I've never once had a bad experience - at least not one they could control. When inserting my IUD, my physician had a bit of trouble and I ended up nearly fainting, but the whole staff went above and beyond for me to make sure I was okay and I had everything I needed. Every member of the staff here is phenomenal - friendly, welcoming, and understanding. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my appointment and it's always a breeze booking, even a day or two in advance. Cannot say enough nice things about this place. Super friendly staff, and a very clean facility. However..... if you are hoping for a quick visit, it could possibly not be that simple. I had an appointment at 12:30, arrived here at 11:00 to ensure all paperwork and all other procedures that may have been needed to be done. I was seen around 1:30, for a session of Q&A till I was seen by the clinician around 2:30. Jennifer was very nice and pleasant. The session with her lasted MAYBE 5 minutes, if that, till I was instructed to wait at check out. The wait time was probably the most annoying, but overall I'm glad the staff was really cool. My suggestion, bring a really good book or invest in a Netflix original to watch on your phone to bypass the time. read more

A lot of these reviews are rather outdated; in the 1.5 years I have been going to this Planned Parenthood location for regular screenings and women's health check ups I have been more than satisfied with every visit (and mind you majority of this time has been during covid). Making appointments within 1-2 weeks has always been easy and the visits are smooth and hassle free. The doctors and clinicians are great, always so friendly and sweet and make every appointment very comfortable. Despite working in healthcare I was a little nervous about this place because of the reviews. Let me put your mind at ease, this is an amazing location and I had a phenomenal experience! I decided to go to PP for a new birth control implant after my primary office couldn't get me in for several weeks and mentioned most of the available staff had *just* been trained on the procedure...yeah, no thanks. My previous implant removal at that same primary office had also not gone the best...so I was hunting for options. Take it from me sister, GO TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD! Online appointment booking, check. Extremely clean/nicely lit facility with kind desk staff, check. Beautifully inclusive gender language and respect for background and beliefs, check. Nonjudgemental and matter-of-fact atmosphere, check! These people are amazing. My provider was so skilled in the procedure that after I was numb it took her about 5 seconds to place. ...I found her precision and speed astonishing after my (NON PP) primary doctor had created multiple scars for insertion/removal and excessively large incision that warranted stitches the first time I got it. My primary doc had also spent 30 minutes with a med student fishing in my arm for the darn thing when I got it removed...which I found out is not how it's supposed to go. -__- After my visit today with an AWESOME Nurse Practitioner I had a tiny entry point (dot sized) covered by a bandaid that will scab in a few days... so suffice to say I will return to PP for all of my BC needs in the future. Go to the pros, honey! Which makes sense I guess, because they are bound to master the procedures they do all day every day. If you are nervous they are happy to answer your questions and work out the best options for your situation. I loved that the place had a "protected" vibe (likely because of the targeting this organization has gracefully managed in the past). They also take a thorough sexual history and give honest up-to-date reproductive health recommendations. Furthermore, OHP seems to completely cover BC services here (thanks Obama!) and I've heard they work with income scales if you don't have insurance. If I ever felt in trouble with my reproductive health I would honestly return here in a heartbeat knowing I would find compassionate and factual information regarding my medical options. To address the other negative reviews: I'm actually glad I expected to be here a while, but I understood that these people run on a tight schedule with minimal staff to serve the community. I'd rather know they would take the time to treat me appropriately and handle any complications of a procedure than ship me in/out like an assembly line. With that in mind, just plan to be seen approximately 30-60 minutes after you check in. Bring a book, school work, or whatever. If you go in with this attitude, you'll be golden. I had a 12:30 appointment for solely an implant insertion, uncomplicated check-in, and left the building at about 2pm. Parking is also limited in the lot, but free and I didn't have an issue finding a spot on the street. I would gladly recommended this place to my friends! read more

The woman who inserted my device was professional and knowledgeble. They were really quick about getting my records from a different clinic, and when I came in for my appt, I didnt have to wait over an hour like I did at the last planned parenthood I went to. I went here just yesterday and I was very happy with the experience. Everyone was really nice and helpful. They called me back almost exactly when my appointment was scheduled for, but I did end up waiting about 15-20 minutes in the room after that. But everyone kept apologizing about it :) I was getting an annual exam and it was my first time and I was really nervous but the nurse practitioner was very kind and professional. Staff are very friendly. However they are incredibly slow. Went in for an ultra sound at 1:20 pm 2:45 to be seen. Was placed in a room waited for another 30 mins for someone to see me.. They forgot to call my boyfriend in 20 mins ago .. The ultrasound was rushed , it lasted 1 minute barely got to see anything and they don't have the equipment to really tell you anything or simply hear the heart beat ( which was the biggest bummer) .. She printed out the ultrasound told me my due date and that's it. 3 hours for that smh read more

Love this location, all the girls at the front desk are super nice and answer all your insurance questions. They have great funding programs that I never knew about. The wait time sucks but what do you expect from a high volume clinic. Most of the reviews are disgusting under this page and could be from patients that didn't get there way. More than a 2 hour wait. Was told from staff that's normal. I am working on 2.5 hours, even with a dedicated appointment window. I really love supporting Planned Parenthood, but you basically need to cut out an entire morning or afternoon at this location. My appointment needed 10 minutes, tops! Simple procedure that I've had done before. Probably won't be back. :( Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. If you don't mind waiting all afternoon, it's a great spot. I only gave it a one star because of the ridiculous wait times. Please inform patients when making their appointment of the 2-hour wait. I think that would be only ethical. With that being said, I have never had such an unpleasant and unprofessional experience as I did at this planned parenthood. I had scheduled an appointment for 10:40 days before and finally left at 11:20 because I was tired of sitting in their waiting room. It was an estimated 2 hour wait to see a physician regardless of appointment. The woman who helped me was blatantly rude and would benefit from even the most basic customer service training. She offered to reschedule my appointment but she was so rude about it I didn't even want to go through the process of going back there the next morning. Don't waste your time. First off, front desk staff are incompetent. I waited for an hour after i got there and heard them TWICE shouting other clients personal medical info as they were walking up to the desk, before they even got up to the desk. ("You here for your birth control??" "You here to get your IUD taken out??"). That alone is a felony. I could hear them from across the waiting area. For a company that stresses confidentiality, they should be ashamed. Going to report them to the BBB for that alone. While i waited the desk staff were laughing and swearing about various topics. I though medical offices we're supposed to be at least a LITTLE bit professional. Left before my (late) appointment time. If the brainless desk staff even remotely represents what the rest of the staff is like, i wouldnt want them to even give me medical advice, let alone medical treatment. But the wait was not the problem for me. That happens. I support what PP stands for, but this location is a joke. Most unprofessional 'medical office' I've ever set foot in. ***I hope some sort of manager is able to see this and consider changes in their desk staff or better training. That is no way to represent a company. I work at a dog boarding kennel and we would never act so shamefully in front of clients. Working in a medical office is a privelage. I've been coming here for last few years for annual checkup and STD Testing services. Usually I wait an hour to be seen despite set appointment, and more wait in between. So I will have at least three hours available for appointments. Staff are friendly but doctors seem a little tense, just difference in workload I suppose. It's inexpensive but professional and gets the work done. Very accessible and will continue to utilize the service. read more

Today, I came into planned parenthood and was greeted by friendly faces. Everyone was very patient with me and made me feel comfortable. I was already so nervous because I had to get my blood drawn and I went to the back room once my medical assistant 'Cat' called me back. She was the BEST medical staff I've come across in along time. She made me feel comforted when I was absolutely terrified of getting my blood drawn and she even held me hand. You can tell she will do whatever it takes to make her patient 100% comfortable. My primary physician referred me to Planned Parenthood, and I am thoroughly impressed. I associated it with abortion only or cheap healthcare, and I was WRONG! I was immediately given two appointments for a contraception method, and it was so clean and the staff is concise and sweet.
