I am from California the home of immense bureaucracy and high taxes. Oh ya, and horrible service…read morefor those first two privileges. When my daughter purchased her car here in Scottsdale we needed to get it registered quickly before I returned home. When I researched the local DMV, I found that it was by appointment only due to COVID and there was nothing in time prior to my departure. I found alternative locations and selected Arizona License and Title Services. We arrived without an appointment and were quickly seen. They took our paperwork and asked my daughter a few questions. Essentially we were able to do everything we could at the DMV here except receiving the actual plate. Oh, they even let her select a special background which I opted for the Matrix design. Ya, I want to move here just for that! Within about 15 minutes total, from walking in to leaving, my daughter had her car registered! We put her temporary printed plate on the back of the car and she was legal. I couldn't believe how easy and fast this all was! Man, California has to get a clue! We paid about 20% less of one year registration in California but she paid for two years! Again, man, California needs to get a clue! The service was wonderful as the lady that assisted us we so friendly and helpful. I can't imagine why anyone would want to go to the DMV when you could just go to Arizona License and Title Services and get it done quickly with great service.

I spent about an hour here a couple of weeks back when I realized my car registration was expired…read moreand that I still needed to get a "real ID." It was a weekday afternoon and it was fairly busy, but efficient. I took a number for each of the things I needed and waited for my number to be called. I had to go to several different windows, meet with multiple people, show some paperwork, pay, get a photo taken, get another photo taken, etc... This stuff wasn't fun, but it wasn't horrible either. I did feel a bit like I was in squid games waiting for my number to be called and then not knowing how many more times I would have to wait to go to another window, etc... In the end it all worked out and I now have a real ID and a new registration. You will pay a bit of a surcharge by going her vs the DMV, but I have a feeling it saved me a good amount of time as well. I wish you luck getting your stuff done if you end up here as well!
