I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The techs are efficient and friendly. I'm in and out in under 20 minutes. It's a service I need only once every 2 years but they definitely make it painless and simple. read more

Excellent service! We drove up to the gate for a ticket. We circled around to the garage area. We were motioned in the garage by a staff member in the few seconds we were in line. There were four garages available. Staff were very friendly and courteous. He asked us to wait outside of the car. The testing took about a minute or two to complete. They accept credit cards and cash. We received a copy of the approved emissions test. Staff take care of sending a copy of the approved test to Motor Vehicles. read more

ADEQ Emissions Testing Station - Front - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

They were very fast and efficient kept the line moving, even though it was crowded. The guy warned that Mondays and Fridays are the busiest days so my advice would be don't go there on Friday and Monday. I was there on Saturday. The line was not that bad looked like they had all the ports open and people were moving pretty quickly. read more

The process was quick and there wasn't a line at all, which was nice. The older man working there however, was very rude to my daughter. It was her first time going through emissions and he insulted her. At first, I thought he must be joking, but he wasn't. Never cracked a smile and was pushy. I understand if he was having a bad day but to insult a young lady like that was uncalled for. Beware of the older man with white hair and glasses. read more

Always quick and friendly when I've gone here. I love how their system connects and sends the report to the MVD, so I don't have to do anything when renewing registration. The additional hours open on Saturday helps a lot of folks. (Please confirm those hours before you go, I don't want to cause any issues if they're not.) read more

this was my first time here for emissions testing, i waited in line for about 10 mins, the service itself was so quick took about 5 mins, its $17 here and the customer service was nice, i would recommend this place read more

Fast and easy. I went twice already in two years and it's been very smooth and easy experience.

Easy peasy. Drive in, get hooked up and, providing your vehicle passes the test, receive your cert and you are on your way.

This was a good station to come to for my emissions test. It was efficient. There was construction on the road, but signs guide you to the entrance. I checked the cameras on the website to see if it as super busy before going there after work, and it matched pretty well even with a 20 minute drive. But note, that can change. The whole process was easy. The results are sent to the DMV, so I could register my car when I texted a few days later. read more

ADEQ Emissions Testing Station - Inspection lanes - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This was 2nd visit to this location for emission testing. I have been here 2 years back too and this is nearer to our home so our to go location. Overall it is big with 3 lanes, divided into express and non-express depending on how big is your vehicle and also how old they are. For me, both the time, checkout was easy and fast. No long waiting time and the staff was gentle and ready to provide information. Emission fees are $17 as of this month 2020. I have not tried any other location for emission testing and always have relied on this one so can't really say how good others are comparing to this, but I don't see any issue with this one. Recommended. read more

Great smooth fast service! Chris did my testing and was professional nice and will for sure be coming back when I need to!

Super quick and easy. Plus the friendliest inspectors I've ever met... I wasn't planning on writing more but I need to hit 85 characters

Friendly, fast service. We were in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. It took less time than I had expected.

Great and fast service. $17 for the test. If you have a 1996/1999 or newer car the lane is much faster. During the summer I think it's busier & if u don't have ac you will be dying waiting in line. If your check engine light is on there's a sign that says don't go in line. You go in and press a button for a ticket and then u give the ticket to the inspector. read more

Most of the time the people at emissions are kinda flat ..like DMV employees; never rude, just FLAT. I was pleasantly at how efficient and happy the guys here seemed. It was the same: mileage. Shut off the car. Start the car. Stand in the box. You passed... but the guys here seemed happy. Plus I was in and out in about 5 minutes! Can't beat that with a stick. read more

Very well organized and got me in and out quickly. They were polite and knew what they were doing!

I would give it zero stars if I could. Very rude staff. The guy just barked at me and ordered me around. Get out of the car, pull this cord, sit here. No politeness or common human courtesy. Or is this the way we as a society need to interact with one another these days??? Then my car didn't pass and he didn't even try to explain. Just gave me the paper and said pull forward and park over there if you have questions go inside the office. No professionalism whatsoever. Don't go to this location if you can avoid it. Unfortunately they know you need them and depend on them to get your renewal so they treat you like shit with total disregard. read more

This is a very straightforward place with friendly and fast service. I went to do an emissions test and it only took a few minutes and cost me $17. If you're hoping to avoid lines, you should come here after 4:00pm. read more

Long line but was in and out in 30 min max. There's 4 bays so the line does move quickly. Maybe 7 min start to finish it nice I entered bay. I did have to exit my vehicle and wait in a tiny 'wait room'. It was over pretty quick. This is where you have to go first to get your vehicle registered in AZ. After your vehicle passes, that the certificate to MVD. Motor Vehicle Division. read more

The gentleman that performed the smog test on my vehicle was awesome! Fast, polite, and had a good sense of humor! Aside from his excellent service... let me comment on the actual facility. After turning into the inspection entrance, it's impossible to see how busy it actually is until you've already driven past "the point of no return". That's when you're able to catch your first glimpse of the inspection lanes and how many cars are waiting ahead of you. There is ONE exit lane towards the left. So if you decide, "Oh damn. I don't want to wait this long, I'll come back another time." You may have to wait anyways because the "exit lane" is inconveniently located closer to the inspection bays. Meaning... yes, you will have to wait until the line shortens before you can actually utilize the exit lane. So, you're stuck. So I rate 5 stars for the service I received. But the engineer who built the actual facility and lot: I give that dude 1 star for bad planning. Suggestion: I hear the morning (when they first open) is your best chance of getting in and out of there quickly. Good luck. *They also provide a link on their site for a camera to view how long the lines are before you arrive. **That camera view link didn't work for me when I tried. Good luck again! read more

Smog check was quick and efficient. Line moved quickly and the attendant was nice and friendly.

Great and quick service. Mechanics were professional and my car passed with flying colors. Highly recommend this place!

Quick and easy. Almost a pleasure, if it wasn't a state demand. I was in and out in 10 minutes.

It must be my good luck, but the line was not long at all today for my car's emissions test and in my experience the staff is always super friendly, welcoming, and efficient! There are also tons of places to eat by there! Highly recommend this location for emissions test! read more

This is the only emissions site I use now. The lines are almost always reasonable - sometimes even very short. And the staff has always been very kind, and courteous of my having children in the vehicle. read more

These guys are so efficient and friendly! Even when the line looks like, they keep it moving so quick! They also are sanitizing everything and wearing masks. I saw them do this for every car while waiting and they did mine too. Keep up the good work!!! read more

Quick and easy for emission testing. Got an email today that my registration was needed so took it in for emissions. -no paperwork needed -small charge $17 -printed paperwork you receive then you go online to renew your registration with ADOT. I went on Tuesday at 3pm and was in and out in 10min. They do update their wait times on their website so you can check that before heading down. It can get busy especially for the older vehicles so try to get there early or before people get off work. read more

We bought a car for my niece and I stopped by this location to get the car emissions done so she wouldn't have to. The line was so short and easy in and out access. The gentleman that helped me was so nice and we even had a good laugh because I was an idiot and since I hadn't really driven this car before I didn't know how to open the gas tank door lol. He helped out and was done really quick. He even let me know there were way more people than just me who can't figure out a car they've owned foe a while lmao. Great service, cheap price and in and out in under 20 minutes . read more

I went on a Saturday so I figured I'd have to wait a bit longer than usual. The overall experience took about an hour and they were utilizing 3 of the 4 lanes. The staff was hustling to get people in and out and were speaking to people in line to ensure they were in the right lane. I arrived knowing the wait would take some time but the test itself was very fast and painless. The staff made it easy and kept me informed. The gentleman who assisted me was very kind and and told me he'd have me on my way in about 2-minutes. He was true to his word and sent me off with a smile (under his mask) and wished me a Merry Christmas. This is just one of those things you have to do but encountering a kind and professional staff made it almost enjoyable. I recommend this location if you need an emissions test! read more

10 mins wait.... I really like the way AZ DOT website is organized. I checked wait time online before I left my office and picked the location that I can come back to my office shortest time possible. Wait was in fact only 10 mins and there were enough staff on site directing traffics (a little they had), inspection staff was courteous, I was really in and out. Now they accept credit card, cash and check. Last time I had to come for emission test was over 10 years ago and at that time they only accepted checks. As I was driving out, I notice they have repair shop and DMV next to each other, I just thought this will make a convenient stop here. As soon as I got back to my office, I processed renewal online (test result was already sent) and two business days later, new tag came in a mail! Very efficient. read more

Quick and efficient. This location only took a few minutes for us to get all the way through the process. As newbies to the state, we weren't aware of the process, but everyone was very friendly and explained what they were doing for each portion. I think we were there for all of ten minutes total. Although we are not used to emissions test, this location made it painless and quick. When we need to do it again, we'll be stopping back here. Overall: A read more

It is emissions so a star is taken away because of the hug downer it is to get the dmv letter in the mail. Family told me about this location. Seemed faster than going to the regular dmv, but what isn't? The people were nice and friendly. Would go back for a quick emissions test before hoping on to service Arizona. I don't see what eating habits have to do with this job like another reviewer so I did not ask the employees about them. Update: friend had to get theirs done on a new/used car. Took them to this one ten minute on a Saturday was amazing. read more

A necessary evil that we all have to go to eventually, the most you can ask for is a shorter line and get in and out quickly. Well I had never noticed this location before, as it's hidden off the street. Watch carefully for the blue emissions testing sign, I drove right by it the first time. I found this particular location to be faster than most, and with friendly employees. They were helpful and courteous, and I was in and out promptly. read more

Uncle Martin at 4949 Madison was very personable and humors and efficient......in and out in no time. Thanks Uncle Martin

These people have no idea what they're doing. I waited in one of the two express lanes and I was in line for an hour and 10 minutes while the other express lane and full service lane let about 6 times the amount of cars through. My blood was literally boiling by the time I got finished. I waited an hour and 10 minutes behind FIVE cars in the express lane... doesn't quite make sense. read more
