If your told a dollar amount for the test, Hip, Hip, Hurray! You passed ... pay the person while sitting in the car. ( drive away quick before they change their minds) If you failed you pay nothing and are told to research your issues yourself on the internet? ( what the heck? ) Long story short .. the dealership replaced my " secondary battery" (under passenger seat for those vehicles that the engine cuts off when you're at a complete stop to save gas) Who knew? Anyway I failed, so I google to drive the car for 50 miles to reset the computer system... the next day ( after 60 miles of driving for no dang reason all over Surprise) I passed the next day.. darn computers... Funny lil place. Bring your popcorn.

No matter the attempts at pleasantries, etc. The gentleman was just curt, dismissive, and lacked any bedside manner. My recommendation, if you hate your job, then either fake being friendly because thats a personal issue or find another job. This role is working with the public, deal with it.

I must say I had a very unusual morning at this ADEQ Auto Emissions testing facility…read more My sister's car was due for its emissions test. As most of you that live in this county, know that if you have an older car you have to take it to have it tested and pass the emissions test in order to get a new license plate tag. As I pulled into the driveway to enter the facility I have to pull a ticket out in order to get the gate to open so that I can get into their facility. Well this particular morning the machine wasn't going to cooperate. So I pulled out one third of the ticket and was unable to get the rest of the ticket out. Then the guy behind me was trying to help and guess what he pulled another third of the ticket. So he politely went over to get one of the guys to help out. So the employee comes over and helps me to get the rest of the ticket out. So the gate opens and I am left with three pieces of a ticket. So from here I drive up to the lane to get the car tested and hand over the ticket which was in three pieces. So after I restart the car and my sister and I walked over to the booth and about three minutes later the guy comes over to tell they can't test the car. So he tells us the car has to be driven more in order for us to test it. You will have to come back. So we left and took my sister back home. My wife told me why don't you drive it up and down the freeway and then take it back in. So guess what, I drove my sister's car up and down the freeway and took the car back. This time no problem with their ticket machine and once again I am in line waiting to have the car tested. So I pull up and after restarting the car I walked over to the booth and some older employee came over to tell me we noticed you came by earlier and I said I did. So he tells me if we can't test it you will have to come back in three days. I told him I understand. So I'm watching the guy that is running the test and noticed that a light came on when he did the first test. So next thing he is running the gas tank test, and right after tell me what the fee is. So I paid and told me to get back in the car and hands me the test form and says, it passed. All this happened on the same day so go figure. Just glad I listened to my wife. Of course the second time I didn't have my sister with me but she was glad I had gone back to get retested. This is my story of my adventure at the ADEQ Auto Emissions.

Needless to say, I wasn't super psyched to have to find time in my already busy days to figure this out, but I sucked it up and searched for the nearest emissions testing and found this place. I headed that way late on a Monday afternoon and was pleased to see that the line was not long, and it moved pretty fast too! I was in and out quickly and luckily my car passed the test.
