This was the quickest most efficient emission spot I've been to. There was a long line when I went however, given the amount of people it went pretty fast. They have you step out while they run their tests, it was only $17 for mine. I'll be coming to this location next time I need emissions done.

Arrived at 8:30 on a Monday morning. Got a ticket, then drove around to the testing bays. No line. The technician had me turn off my engine. He then had me restart it, get out while the engine was running, wait in a booth off to the side, pay and be on my way. The whole visit was surprisingly quick. So quick, that I only had time to take a couple of pictures. Admission test for my vehicle was only $17. Go to http://myazcar.com/locations-phoenix and click on "Phoenix area wait times" to see the wait times. Wait times are broken into 10 min. wait of less, 11-20 min. wait, more than 20 min. and unknown or station closed.

I was just failed at this location for "OBD2 connection issues". The guy didn't even try to connect the scanner. I looped around and got into a different line and this time the inspector passed me. I had to fill out a fraudulent repair form (I didn't have any repairs made). What a waste of everyone's time! read more

Speedy Service Today, I decided to get my vehicle emissions tested. I arrived at the facility and the lines were almost empty. There was one vehicle ahead of me and a I waited less then 5 minutes before a staff member was waving me in to have my vehicle tested. I was in and out within 10.mintes. probably less time then that. i arrived around 9:17AM, entering on the right side + grabbing a ticket, then moved forward into the obd lane. everything was cool until the line started getting really long behind me and a lady (mid 30s-40s) came out directing people to move into the middle (full service) lane, she was so aggressive about it which definitely caught me off guard. communication + customer service skills needs to be worked on when it comes to that. anyways i finally had my turn at 9:39AM, i was called forward then signaled to stop where someone placed something on my tire (unsure what it's called lol) then he asked me for my ticket + to turn off my car, then turn it on again, after that he had me step out into their booth. where i waited until he was finished and then asked for payment right there and i was finished + passed, he removed the tire thing and i was off at 9:43! read more

Fast service and friendly service. If you need emissions testing, try this location. Perhaps because it is tucked away in a rural site off Glendale Avenue, in the middle of the desert, this testing center is a well kept secret. Check out the website for directions and wait times. This is the second time I have gotten my vehicle emissions test at this station. The lines are rarely long. They have a fast lane for newer cars. You can wait in the passenger seat or in a private booth. The test administrator was quick and had a wry sense of humor. The location was convenient as well for those of us living near the Cardinal stadium. I will be back, but hopefully not for another 2 years. read more

Taking my vehicle this morning for emissions testing was not the best experience. The guys are moving at turtle pace and And their identification for vehicle testing is terrible. This will be the last time I come to Glendal's testing facility just a very bad overall performance with customer service vehicle testing signage. read more

These guys are great. We're new to AZ and pulled up in a 38' motorhome. They guided us in, walked us through the test and guided us out of the facility. At one point, most of the employees were helping in one way or another. Thank you so much for keeping us and our rig safe! read more

I've been going to this location for about 7 years. There's rarely a line... probably because the employees are rude. Not once in all of my visits have I been treated like a customer here. I've either been barked at or ignored. So, if you want to get in and out quick and you don't mind staff that's rude or indifferent, then this is the place. read more

I took my car for testing July 31st...It said it failed the OBD connection...I took it to C and R in Anthem,,,,Nothing wrong...I went to the Deer Valley testing and it passed...I called to complain and asked who would cover the bill for C and R for all my inconvience...She said NOBODY...I said gees thanks....They sure will not give you your tags and chg u for the test...To my surprise the lady ahead of me also failed...Something is wrong...Upset in Anthem read more

There were four garages available. Staff were very friendly and courteous. He asked us to wait outside of the car. The testing took about a minute or two to complete. They accept credit cards and cash. We received a copy of the approved emissions test. Staff take care of sending a copy of the approved test to Motor Vehicles.

As most of you that live in this county, know that if you have an older car you have to take it to have it tested and pass the emissions test in order to get a new license plate tag. As I pulled into the driveway to enter the facility I have to pull a ticket out in order to get the gate to open so that I can get into their facility. Well this particular morning the machine wasn't going to cooperate. So I pulled out one third of the ticket and was unable to get the rest of the ticket out. Then the guy behind me was trying to help and guess what he pulled another third of the ticket. So he politely went over to get one of the guys to help out. So the employee comes over and helps me to get the rest of the ticket out. So the gate opens and I am left with three pieces of a ticket. So from here I drive up to the lane to get the car tested and hand over the ticket which was in three pieces. So after I restart the car and my sister and I walked over to the booth and about three minutes later the guy comes over to tell they can't test the car. So he tells us the car has to be driven more in order for us to test it. You will have to come back. So we left and took my sister back home. My wife told me why don't you drive it up and down the freeway and then take it back in. So guess what, I drove my sister's car up and down the freeway and took the car back. This time no problem with their ticket machine and once again I am in line waiting to have the car tested. So I pull up and after restarting the car I walked over to the booth and some older employee came over to tell me we noticed you came by earlier and I said I did. So he tells me if we can't test it you will have to come back in three days. I told him I understand. So I'm watching the guy that is running the test and noticed that a light came on when he did the first test. So next thing he is running the gas tank test, and right after tell me what the fee is. So I paid and told me to get back in the car and hands me the test form and says, it passed. All this happened on the same day so go figure. Just glad I listened to my wife. Of course the second time I didn't have my sister with me but she was glad I had gone back to get retested. This is my story of my adventure at the ADEQ Auto Emissions.

I've been dealing with issues on my Honda for months now. We originally took it to Honda, and they…read moreclaimed it was just the spark plugs--so we replaced them. Unfortunately, the issue came back not long after. We then brought the car here based on the good reviews, hoping for a real solution. The mechanic said he inspected the car and couldn't find anything wrong except that I needed an oil change and "Honda-specific" spark plugs. He also cleared the dashboard settings, which we found extremely frustrating because that doesn't solve the issue--it just masks it temporarily. At that point, it was already done, and we couldn't reverse it. We went ahead and bought the spark plugs directly from Honda and had them replaced, even though the original ones weren't aftermarket or low quality. Surprise--same issue came back again. Whether it's "higher-end" spark plugs or not, my car continues to have the exact same problems. Honestly, I don't understand why that recommendation was made in the first place. We even spoke to friends who work at dealerships and Honda, and they confirmed that advice was completely inaccurate. The car might be running *slightly* better, but it's like comparing Pepsi to Coke--it's still the same drink. At the end of the day, nothing was truly resolved. At this point, it feels like this is just one of those issues no mechanic seems able to figure out. Disappointing experience all around. Late update, but this happened on July 10, 2025. the only reason i came here was due to the 4.5-4.7 star reviews and the fact that it was near me.
