We had a pipe burst in our rental condo. My first communication with Emmanuel was via a phone conversation and was excellent. He was readily available and answered all my questions. The contractor they suggested was phenomenal and would return calls within an hour. Jim at Restoration Solutions was also fun (side note as he was great to work with). The entire project took about 3 months as we needed floors throughout, an entire new kitchen and partial work in one of the baths. Most communication with Emmanuel was through email and we received everything he explained in our original phone call. As Emmanuel indicated, our policy included loss of rent reimbursement as well as gas and electric. We received these funds in a timely manner. I would highly recommend homeowners insurance through CSE. read more

absolutely horrible experience. it has been 3 months since we filed our claim and our home is nowhere near complete and our rep, cyrilla harris, lauren ramos & p whitman have completely ghosted us. i have called into their main line many times and always get a woman named "SOS" and she has promised me a call back within 24 hrs. no response. i have emailed claims team which promises a response in 24 hrs, no response. this company is a SCAM!!! they will take all your money in premiums and leave you high and dry when you need something. will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau today for being fraudulent and pursuing litigation in court. read more

I usually don't like leaving bad reviews because I like to be the bigger person but I just had to this time. My car was involved in a 3 car accident in June. The insured of this company CSE, hit another car which in turn hit my parked car. The insured left me his number and insurance company and I started the process with the claim. Boy oh boy, getting a response seemed nearly impossible. After waiting for several weeks, I started calling and emailing every single day. The company finally responded but said that they are only claiming 50 percent fault. That didn't make sense to me because if their insured hadn't hit the other car than that car wouldn't have hit mine. I sent an email stating that & of course got no response. I received a check in the mail yesterday (October 5th) for of course only 50 percent of the initial estimate. Which honestly if that's the best I can get from this company than I'll take it. On Friday April 8th 2022 at aprox 10 am as I was exiting the Alabama exit (eastbound) in Redlands, Ca, I turned left. The vehicle behind me sped up and rear swiped me. After verbally accepting fault and apologizing on video I called SCE insurance company to file a claim. After speaking to customer service, the rep called me back and asked me for the other drivers insurance info (big red flag). Monday comes around and I call back to find out the the claim was not even submitted. I refiled the claim and finally Tuesday a rep by the name of Steven Bais called me to take my statement. After I gave him all the information he said that typically I would hear back within 24 hours. I waited and no calls, I called back Thurs, Friday, and nothing. (I also emailed). Finally on Monday Morning the 18th, 10 days later after being rear ended by their insured, Steven my call just to tell me that they don't accept claim and that they won't be fixing my car. He will return you call days later without an answer to your questions. I file a claim three months ago. The been adjuster tells me that he's still waiting to talk to his manager. This particular adjuster have been telling me the same thing for three months. Am no further than I was three months ago. In my problem is water damage with mold. I emailed receipts & pics of before, during, & after repairs on roof leak. They did not refund my money. They mailed me a letter terminating our contract. If you don't want to be scammed stay far away from this company. I had paid for two year contract. They stolen my money then ended contract. I've stayed on them calling. Absolutely the worse. Where the rubber meets the road for any insurance company is when you need to make a claim. Been fighting with CSE on a home damage claim for 2.5 yrs. They continue to evade, ignore, and price in arbitrary discounts for themselves with no valid reasoning. I've been with CSE for a reasonable amount of time, so you would think you would be treated as not only a customer, but a good customer. I could not be more disappointed in their handling of my claim which is still open since last July. I'm on my 4th adjustor, which means starting all over - again! Let me share this with you all. I have an open claim now. The auto accident was on last Friday. Monday is Labor Day and I gave the adjuster time reluctantly to call me on end of Tuesday. Nothing!!! I found out who is the adjuster myself and called and called and voicemails and he called me back at 7:40am on Thur when I was busy with kids. I returned call 4 times already today and no call back. Now is 4:15pm and I bet he is gone. Reception is gone also. This is how busy or shorthand they are. My broken family car is still on my driveway and I am still hoping he will call ASAP ASAP!!!!!!!! Worst auto insurance I have ever had. They never answer their phones, they never return emails or phone calls, and they do not keep you informed about anything that goes on with claims. I had an insurance claim that was a hit and run and the insurance girl put me as the at fault when I was in a store shopping. Please tell me how I would be at fault. I called the supervisor and because I was never informed about any of this information and had no idea she listed me as the at fault driver, the supervisor said there was nothing she can do because 4 months had passed. 4 months is nothing. I'm currently a customer of CSE Insurance Group, and working through an issue, but need to make sure everyone is aware of what you're getting into with this insurance. I will of course update this as things progress, but here's what I found: 1) I've been a loyal customers for a number of years, and not one incident. Then last year, I had a substantial incident which required me to file a claim. They not only rejected the claim, but then immediately dropped me as a customer. The damage that was done was due to a freak weather storm. I've had 2 geologists look at this, and 5 contractors, and all of the claimed it was due to unfortunately weather conditions that never happen here. So here we are, I've replaced everything, and the reason I've paid for insurance my whole life for an incident like this, and my insurance was cancelled? What? Then I talked to my agent, who was great, and then I'm back on. Something is a bit fishy here. I'm still working through this. Nothing was wrong with the claim agent, or the responsiveness of the customer support, but the integrity of this company is questionable. Do you want to get ROBBED without a gun? Be a patron of CSE. Homeowners RUN far-away . Car owners RUN far-away. I had a tenant in my rental who vandalized my property, caused over 60k of damage. CSE sent THEIR appraiser who documented 4K of "damage". Let me elaborate on the vandalism: 4 BD/3 BA two story house; ALL doors torn off the hinges, melon sized holes throughout the house walls, All vanity and fixtures uplift or yanked off, feces in the stove, and water damage from the sink being left on. CSE seemed none of my submitted photos as vandalism, b/c it was not caused by a tool but someone's fist and or foot! Laughable!! I took this claim all the way to CA commission, and nothing. I even had CSE's corporate officer argue on the definition of vandalism. Keep in mind my property had additional coverage for these kind of issues. All in all, I had to come out of pocket for 60k+ to get my property back up to par. I'm currently searching for a new insurance company. read more

Alright. So all of your adult life in conversations with friends and family you just hear people moaning and complaining about insurance. Health insurance. Car insurance. Home insurance. All of it. We've dealt with a ton of health insurance nonsense but never home insurance. So when we had a massive leak in our home, my heart sunk knowing what I was about to embark on with our home insurance provider, CSE. I'm happy to say we had an absolute excellent experience through the whole process. Our rep (Bernadette Smith) was awesome. So sweet, kind and empathetic through the whole process. She always did exactly what she said she was going to do, in the timeframe she said she would. Honestly she made my stress so much less and felt she genuinely cared about our situation. A company is only as good as your employees and CSE has a role model in Bernadette. Fair payment, painless experience and great rep. I would recommend. read more

I received an e-mail from CSE simply stating they were "sorry" about my experience and that someone from their claims management team would be reaching out to me "shortly." Here we are almost a week later and still no response whatsoever from CSE. So I am still holding an inadequate check made out to the wrong people from CSE and despite a disingenuous apology for my experience, they have absolutely nothing to rectify the problem. incompetent staff. I have an equipment breakdown policy on my plan. My water heater failed. While they did cover it under equipment breakdown, they classified it as water damage and filed not one, but 2 reports with LexisNexxis. Which of course if impacting my renewal rates and ability to change ins providers. They did internally correct it, but no one seems to know how to correct it with LexisNexxis and adjust my rates. I have had to reach out to them multiple times to even get a response. Good thing I'm persistent. read more

I called claims and actually connected with a human but they told me there was nothing they could do for me. So it this is how they behave for billings you can just forget about claims or service. For two years in a row, no communication regarding renewal of policy. When i renewed last year, price went up 34%. I paid due to not having coverage and was told it was because of the California wild fires in 2021. This year, no notice, website said today 3/8/22 my policy was cancelled 3/9/22. No contact, no communication regarding the policy cancellation. Very poor customer service, actually no customer service. Calling tomorrow to see if there is an explanation for cancelling the policy a day before it expired. Very disappointed, not a good company to have trust in. read more

CSE has the worst service and very slimy business practices - I happened to get in an accident and the process of making my claim was an utter disaster. My agent went on vacation halfway through and they didn't properly transfer work over to someone else. This event also caused me to exceed my rental time and they wouldn't extend my rental when the delay was their fault. With the accident on my record, I was aware of my rates going up and accepted the amount I had to pay. Almost a year later, I looked at my mail and with no explanation, they increased my rates by almost 100%. They recommend good rates at the beginning but will eventually screw you over. I cannot recommend CSE Insurance Group for the following reasons: Terrible customer service: Their representatives were not working in my best interest. They are rude and unprofessional. I even received a nasty email from one of them...(happy to share it...) Covid low use refunds: While other auto insurance carries have issued refunds as a result of Covid-19, and plan on issuing more, CSE plays pass the buck with, "we're working on it", and "should we check your mileage"...pathetic is what they are. Overpriced: After repeatedly being told they CSE could do nothing to reduce my rates, I was able to find premium coverage at 250/500 with matching UN/Under 250/500 coverage for $900 less through Costco. Sneeky: CSE will get you to sign a consent to lower your UN/Under to 25/50...not cool. Although I never signed the form, they lowered my UN/under coverage limits to 25/50 and included a pre-filled consent form. Their whole operation is so bad, I was beginning to wonder if they weren't a scam business. Yes, this review is scathing, however I feel that I am doing a public service by sharing this information. I was with them for 5 years and could have saved ~$4,500 during that period.
