Friendly staff. Great pizza. Space to sit inside, picnic tables outside. Ten inch pizza is a great option for kids to share.

    BLT sub.

Ordered from C's while I was visiting my mother. We ordered the "15 inch BLT sub and an order of macaroni and cheese with pulled pork on top. The food was so delicious. My mother, myself and my 14 year old grandson split everything and their was still left overs. The sub was soooo good. They put the cheese on the bun and run it through the oven open faced so the cheese melts perfectly to the bun. The topping were fresh. The macaroni and cheese was so delicious and could be a meal or two just by itself. I can't wait to visit my mothers house and try some of the other food they have. This place is a must try!!! I forgot to take a pic of the mac and cheese. :(

Mac Bowl with pulled pork and Cole slaw.

This is my second review of C's Pizza & BBQ although I see I had to enter them in Yelp. Last night I ordered their Brisket Sammie and the Mac Bowl for delivery (which delivery is new by the way). They have a minimum order for delivery, hence 2 things for 1 person. This will be good for 4 days for me. Last I had half of the Brisket Sammie. EXCELLENT by the way. The brisket melts in your mouth and caramelized onions and Swiss and 3 choices of BBQ sauce (I chose the sweet and saucy) add to the awesome flavor. Au jus adds to perfection. Today I had half of the Mac Bowl. This is Mac is covered in pulled pork and Cole slaw. Yummy .. I asked for the slaw on the side so I could keep it cold. Good slaw also. I can't give good enough reviews of this excellent, friendly and considerate restaurant. Haven't tried the ribs yet, but, on my list. Ambiance is wonderful.

    Meat lovers pizza

Tried for the first time and was disappointed to say the least. Had the supreme pizza and meat lovers pizza. Both pizzas were very underwhelming. Very minimal sauce which caused the pizza to be on the drier end. Aside from the toppings both pizzas were mainly crust.

Pizza is phenomenal! Owners are so nice. Pizza by the slice for lunch. Perfect. I prefer the thin crust.

I looked up Judd's online before making the approximate 30 minute drive and was surprised to see they took reservations. Never knowing how busy they might be, I made one and was glad I did because when I arrived, there was only one table available besides the one I reserved. We were promptly shown to our table and greeted by our server Aubree. I would describe the menu as bar food on steroids. A full list of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas and a few "main course" items are on the menu. It was also $3.00 margarita night (and they were quite good!) We were in the mood for burgers so that's what we ordered. We both ordered burgers and upgraded to the hand cut fries. Both were excellent. We both ordered medium rare. They were cooked perfectly and tasted great. When we go to a new place, we always look around to see what others are eating. We saw a pretty good cross section of the menu all of which looked good. I asked about the hand breaded chicken tenders. Rather than tell me, Aubree brought both of us a sample. They are a real possibility when we come again. (or maybe one of us will order bluegill, and the other a "Mother Clucker" which are chicken tenders and share). I need to devote a paragraph to our server Aubree. The restaurant was packed and she took care of each table like they were her only customer. Her service was so north of outstanding I think I'd go back even if the food wasn't so good. Another great find!!!

I have had A LOT of versions of this pizza over my 25-30 years this one was only good. If one of the brothers are paying attention hears some free actionable advice. Tweak the following to make it outstanding: slightly more chicken, use a ticker bbq sauce that's not watered down, add grilled or fresh slivered onions on the surface so they roast, add well cooked bacon, and then you will not need to add so much cheese because the other flavors will stand up on their own. Yes this might cost a little more but if it's outstanding the increased price won't be hard to swallow . ..see what I did there? lol. Judging by all the other reviews this does not look to be sold frequently or worth raving about. Thanks for the good pizza. We'll be back!

Upon the noontide hour of the twenty-sixth day of April, in the year of our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty-Five, did we, a merry assembly of kin and companion, venture forth to City Barbecue, nestled upon the thoroughfare of 28th Street in the bustling township of Kentwood. With hearty expectation did I partake of the Sampler Platter, wherein rested the venerable pastrami and brisket--each tender and flavorful, a feast most worthy of admiration. To accompany these fine meats, the baked beans, rich and savory, did shine as a beacon of excellence amidst Michigan's smoky halls of barbecue. Yet alas! The green beans, woeful in their mushiness and devoid of vibrance, did fall short of their noble duty. My fair daughter did receive the More Cowbell sandwich, which by her esteemed judgment was most agreeable to the palate. Yet, the coleslaw, bland and uninspired, suffered the cruel fate of neglect upon the plate. Her gallant suitor did brave the Two-Meat Sampler, electing to double upon the pulled pork--a wise choice, for its succulence did earn his highest praise. Yet the macaroni and cheese, though pleasant in taste, did find itself burdened by pasta that hath been overcooked beyond its prime. Lo, a most fortuitous discovery! For in this hall of smoked delicacies did we chance upon Diet Dr Pepper, a rare and cherished libation oft absent from the public houses of our land. Thirsts were slaked, spirits lifted! As the feast drew to its end, my daughter did indulge in the banana pudding, a confection of unparalleled delight, which earned her highest commendation. And though the meal, in temperature, lacked the warmth that hearts desired, its flavors yet prevailed, ensuring our satisfaction. Thus, let this proclamation be known: City Barbecue doth provide a repast both bounteous and delectable, though frailties in heat and select offerings doth mar an otherwise noble table. Go forth, ye seekers of smoky sustenance, and partake if thou dost dare! I give them but know they can achieve higher, and I look forward to seeing that happen. The server at the cash register was quite friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, the service did not live up to the hype. I paid for smoking, flavoring, and individual vacuum sealing in small packages. What I received was a disorganized mess. None of the packages were labeled, and everything was tossed into a box with two loose labels floating around--we had no idea which flavor was which. Several packages were leaking, and many were poorly sealed with air inside. That completely defeats the purpose of vacuum sealing, which is meant to preserve the fish. Before writing this review, I contacted the business. I was told to "just eat the poorly sealed ones first." Really? We paid extra for vacuum sealing to avoid having to rush through the fish. I was also reminded that the seals aren't guaranteed, which I understand--but they should at least be sealed properly when I pick them up. They sell meat in their store, and I guarantee they wouldn't sell anything in the condition they gave me. I love supporting local businesses, but as customers, we also have to be mindful of where we spend our money. This wasn't a cheap service, and the lack of care and follow-through and customer service was incredibly disappointing.

The menu was straight forward and had a variety of meats and sides available as well as some nacho type options. I ordered a 2 meat platter -- I chose pulled pork & a quarter chicken along with cornbread and potato salad for my sides. My husband got ribs (x2) and a quarter chicken for his 3 meat combo along with potato salad and Mac n cheese. The price felt a little high but not when we saw the portions - the sides were huge and we could barely finish our plates. Here's the thing... we are picky about our bbq. We have a smoker at home so expectations are high. The flavor of both my chicken and pulled pork were what I'd consider a "soft smoke" that you'd find on a buffet line or in a catering dish. Everything came out right away so it was probably stored that way after prepared. I prefer a "hard smoke" where the skin has a nice bark like consistency and the pulled pork was almost soupy - I hate to compare but my go to will still be Two Scotts. If you like a more basic bbq this may be your place. The potato salad was good, unique sauce and something different than your usual mustard and egg potato salad. The cornbread was good too - just wish it was a little bigger. Will I be back? Not sure. I've had their food truck and I think when you're at an outside event it can curb your hunger but for an in person experience, I think my bar may have been set too high. Customer service and people were great - keep improving the food and I'm sure I'd give it another go.

Their 2 meat platter was reasonably priced for BBQ and the portions were good! The meat was solid, but in particular the coleslaw and mashed potatoe sides had a good amount of flavor. The potatoes were very peppery, which I thought was an unusual but tasty choice. I was there at 5 on a Thursday and they still had most of their meat available. Another common problem for BBQ. The only knock food-wise is that for my preference I would have liked a hotter bbq sauce option to go with the standard. But the standard was still good. The staff was very friendly so this is a very solid choice. I'll be back.
