Update: I wanted to…read morecome back and update my experience with Eye Optics after picking up my glasses. After wearing them for a bit, something felt off, and I'm glad I trusted that feeling because I ended up going back in. They took the time to recheck everything and offered me another exam, which I really appreciated. It turns out the issue wasn't my prescription changing, but that the original lenses weren't aligned correctly to my pupil placement. Basically, the measurement itself was right, but it hadn't been marked properly on the lenses, which caused a prism effect in one eye. The staff was extremely kind throughout the whole process and explained everything in a way that made sense. Once they identified the issue, they immediately offered to redo the lenses. Now I'm waiting on the new pair again, and hoping this resolves everything, but I really appreciated that they took the concern seriously and worked to fix it. Helpful tip: If something feels off with new lenses, trust your instincts and go back. It's worth having them double check the alignment.

The glasses and frames are so overcharging, more than a half, you can check online. I was late for my appointment exactly 10 minutes. They said they have 10 minutes grace period at the front desk but still ask me to reschedule. I drove all the way from Roseville hospital and ran into traffic but show up and inside of their "grace period " the doctor won't see me. I think they are too busy to care their patients. I am done with them also taking my whole family to somewhere else.

Last year, I learned that the optometrists who had run the location for many years had retired. It seems like things really began to change around the time VSP took over. Unfortunately, as others have noted in their reviews, the customer service is now lacking and just doesn't have the same welcoming, personal feel it once did. I saw Dr. Staples during my most recent visit last year. I found her somewhat rude and unfriendly at the beginning of the appointment, although she did soften up as the visit went on, which I appreciated. After being a patient here for nearly 30 years, I've decided that will be my last year. I'll be going to Kaiser instead, where my experience with both the customer service and the doctor I met was much more pleasant. It's unfortunate to leave a place I've been going to since 1997, but ultimately, I prefer to give my business to a place where I feel welcomed and valued as a customer.

I had to drag basic information out of them, like whether an appointment was needed to place an order. I also stopped by in person just to browse frames, and wasn't even greeted when I walked in. Instead, a temp worker's first words were "do you have an appointment?" When I said no, I got a somewhat dismissive "so... what can I help you with?" Not exactly the welcoming vibe you'd want from an eye care office. Between the phone call and the in-person visit, it felt less like customer service and more like I was inconveniencing someone by showing up. I ended up not booking anything. Disappointing, because I was ready to walk in and buy glasses same-day.

The store was clean, organized, and full of frame options -- so many cute choices it was honestly a little hard to decide. I went in thinking I might finally pick out a new pair of frames, but after trying a few on I realized my current ones still fit my face best, so I decided to just replace the lenses instead. Juan helped me during the visit and was fantastic. He walked me through the right lens options not only for my glasses but also for my daughter's, and made the whole process really easy. I was surprised how fast everything moved -- I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Helpful tip: if you find a frame you like, ask if it comes in other colors. Sometimes they have additional options like black or tortoiseshell tucked away that aren't on display. Now I'm just counting down the one to two weeks until the new lenses are ready. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

I had scheduled for an eye exam for glasses and contacts. No way with all the BS other exams they sell would that be done in 20 minutes. On top of that there is no grace period?!?! Things happen. Clearly he is going to drive this business in the ground because they no longer care about patients and only care about fast food eye care. Never again, I didn't even stay. During my appointment, I explained my vision issues in detail to Vanessa Games Luna, including the fact that I've been a welder for over 20 years and have significant sensitivity to bright light. I also asked specifically about getting a medical exemption for tinted windows on my vehicle due to this issue. I was told clearly that it wouldn't be a problem and that the documentation would be typed up and sent to my email. Based on that, I left expecting follow-through. Nearly two weeks went by with no communication. I had to call and follow up myself, only to be told that they actually cannot provide that documentation. This was frustrating, especially since I was initially told the opposite with confidence. The lack of follow-through and inconsistent information wasted my time and left me disappointed. Today my 5 year old son and I had our first visit with Dr. Ha. My son was extremely nervous all day and even threw a fit because he had to go see the eye doctor. However when it was time, he didn't have a choice and so off we went. Upon arrival, we were greated by Dr. Ha's staff. They were all welcoming and friendly. One of them even went out of her way to get toys for my 2 year old to play with while my 5 year old and I browsed for frames. I've never been to an eye doctor who loved kids this much. This was already a big 5 star for me. Heck, it's not easy managing 2 highly energetic boys in an office! Then it was time for our exam. Dr. Ha and her staff were so patient with my 5 year old and I. My son was very hesitant to do the exam at first and even ended up just sounding out the letters instead of saying it, but it was no biggie for Dr. Ha. She even had these cute little glasses for him to wear which made it much easier for him to feel like he was playing a game rather than going through an eye exam. This lady no doubt specializes in children and does an amazingly GREAT job with them! And trust me, my son has had many BAD eye doctors (hence the reason why he didn't want to go today). Oh, and her selection of frames are phenomenal!! There's tom ford, gucci, ray ban and many many more to choose from. The staff did such an amazing job helping my son pick out his frame that he insisted to wear it during his duration of his visit (haha). As we drive home, my son goes "mama those people are so nice. I just love them, especially the cute doctor. Can we always go there please?" Thanks Dr. Ha for such a great experience today! We can't wait to come visit again once our frames are in!
