These days they change for no show up charges on appointment it's weird no one else, don't have much brand options, worst service got glasses under insurance, they charged extra to repair ear grip of same glasses within one year of purchase. read more

Trina, she is amazing goes above and beyond to help and has so much patience- So much energy great vibes there. I believe they take all kinds (a lot) of insurance providers. I got Ray Band that we're technically fully covered which was great I was in and out - your not sitting around like most opticals to be seen and taken care of. read more

I didn't see the optometrist at this location but I order my glasses and worked with Trina. Trina was very helpful, outgoing and demonstrated great customer service. I am very picky about my glasses , especially with the issues I've had with my eyes and also previously working in this business . She had great recommendations and because of her help I will be giving the doctors a try as well for my next appointment. Thanks again, Trina . read more

I've been in the market for a new optometrist for a while (last eye exam was five years ago!). After reading the Yelp reviews I decided to try Crystal View Optometry. Booking an appointment was easy, as was rescheduling the first visit when I realized I had double booked myself. I arrived about 20 minutes prior to my first appointment to check out the selection of frames as I knew I would most likely have my eyes dilated. The staff was friendly and helped me select a couple frames prior to my exam. The exam itself was fast and the doctor seeing me was friendly. After ordering my glasses I was told they should arrive in about 7 days, which seems quick compared to the last time I ordered glasses (which took about three weeks). Overall I was very happy with my experience and that this location is a short and easy drive from my house (which also helped me get back home safely after having my eyes dilated!) read more

I've been going to Crystal View Optometry for about 5 years now. I love Dr. McKnight, she is amazing! My appointments are very thorough and quick. She truly cares about my eye health. Today, the technician Zucet provided excellent customer service. She understood my needs and was able to relate to how picky I am when it comes to choosing frames. Zucet was very patient and knowledgeable. Crystal View Optometry has an amazing staff! Thank you all for being so amazing every visit! :) read more

I wrote a two-star review of Crystal View on 6/30/2022. After I wrote the review Crystal View called me and said they had made a mistake with my prescription and they would re-make the glasses I had issues with at no charge (they had previously stated would charge to re-make the glasses). They did not mention why they changed their mind (i.e., they did not mention the negative review). I am happy with the new glasses but it shouldn't be necessary to go though six months of effort to get glasses that work. read more

Excellent optometry and office support staff! My optometrist, who I've been with for 12 yrs retired and closed her business. I went to a few optometry before visiting Crystal View last November--2021. Their customer service is a plus. Yes I can go anywhere to get glasses and contacts but it comes down to customer services. I talked my husband to come join the new place with me. He's been with his eye doc for jsut as long. Angela helped us out with frames and took her time. Although we are not newbies with glasses/ contacts, we appreciated her time and patience for frame searching . Definitely returning customers! Thank you Crystal View & Angela!!! read more

I found this local optometrist through my insurance (vsp) and made an appointment to get my eye exam and prescription refilled. I was very pleased to find they are really close to home and they are open late some nights and open on weekends. The staff here is great- mimi at the front was very friendly. She checked me in and did all the preparation exam stuff, was friendly and great to chat with. My favorite part about this place though, was Angela. She was patient with me and I took quite a while picking out new glasses, then she went over my benefits with me and helped me choose the right options to maximize those benefits. She also helped me fit my old glasses that I've had for two years that were too loose, even though they were purchased elsewhere. All in all, I loved this place and how friendly and convenient the whole experience was. I'll definitely be back. read more

So glad I found Crystal View Optometry! My toddler was prescribed glasses and we had gotten a pair from another place, but we weren't happy with them. We called around to so many places, but most places do not offer frames for toddlers and kept telling us to order online. I have never been a fan of that option as I like to try glasses on myself so I didn't want to order online for my son. The staff was very friendly and did the measurements and everything super fast. They offer the brand Dilli Dalli for toddlers which are so much better than the Optikids brand we were forced to order from the last place. The glasses arrived in less than a week and we are so happy with them. Since the Dilli Dalli's are much sturdier, my toddler has not been able to take them off as much. read more

Very nice clean place , was nervous because i have always gone to the same optometrist for about 10 years and due to relocating I had to find a new place and I'm happy to say I loved it here everyone is so nice and made me feel welcome! read more

Trina is amazing! Friendly, helpful and knows her stuff! Great customer service and very personable!

I've been wearing glasses since I was five years old and have strong astigmatism. So getting my prescription 100% correct is difficult. They tried very hard and rechecked my RX many times. Trina has got to be one of the most awesome and helpful opticians I've ever met, she was really patient when readjusting my glasses a dozen times. read more

The assistants did not welcome me and all they asked was to pull up my authorization first, even though I said I was just looking at frames. Being a previous customer to current frames I have, I asked for a change in nose pads. The assistants seem to not want to help with that. Another assistant came about talking about a previous worker barging in to fix her own glasses, that is against HIPPA regulations. Workers seem inexperienced and unhappy about helping customers needs. read more

Great customer service is hard to find these days. Angela was very helpful, patient and friendly. She didn't rush me through the process. She answered all my questions pertaining to my new glasses. Be sure to ask for Angela lf you want to experience some great customer service. read more

I've been coming to Crystal View Optometry for over 3 years now and I love it! Everyone's always very professional and friendly. Whenever I have the simplest question, they're always there to help. Overall, Dr. Honeycomb's attention to detail and personalization to my current situation is what makes me a long term client here. After discussing my discomfort with my "hard" contact lenses, she went above and beyond to make sure my confront issue was taken care of. I definitely recommend Crystal View Optometry! read more

Doctor was nice and thorough, they were very prompt and Suzette provided the best customer service.

Update from my previous review. I wanted another pair of prescription Sun glasses and they had the new Oakley line so I went to the new office and it is simply AMAZING! Same great staff, same great doctor, but lots more room and product to choose from! read more

In dire need of prescription lenses for my nearsighted self, I came across Crystal View Optometry through my VSP plan at work. There were quite a few options on the list but i'm glad I decided to go with Crystal View. Located in the Safeway shopping center on Elk Grove Florin or as they tell you over the phone, "next door to H&R Block," you are immediately greeted by the staff upon entering. Upon check in I was able to browse through their wide selection of designer frames such as Ray Ban, Prada, Nautica and many more. In the short time I was browsing the sales floor, I was immediately called in by Dr. Holcomb who is by the way one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The eye exam was quick and painless, Dr. Holcomb took the extra time to exam further into my retinas, something that I did not experience at Kaiser years back when I got my first pair of glasses. So after the quick eye exam I was brought back to the sales floor where I selected my frames. I went with a pair of Matte finished Dragons. Like my eye exam, the whole process was pretty quick and painless, the staff were able to pull up my vision benefits and set me up right away, I spent less than an hour total at Crystal View. Every staff member I interacted with was super friendly and helpful, Dr. Holcomb is an amazing optometrist! I think I may be the only person in the world excited to get new glasses hahaha, but seriously If you are in need of prescription glasses or sunglasses, Crystal View is the place to go. read more

Hello my wife and I went into Crystal View Optometry to order a new pair of glasses that is where I met MeMe (MiMi). I have been a customer for a while and it was my first time meeting her. GREAT HIRE....KUDOS TO the power that be. SHe is a people person and that is who you should have as the front person of any business. She was cordial, polite, a good listener and warm. And because of her and urging from my wife I ended up buying some expensive glasses. Keep her... give her a raise even..lol Cedric Sydnor (now a more loyal customer of your business!) read more

Dr. Holcomb was very knowledgable and the staff was extremely helpful. Great experience

Beware! The doctor and staff are very nice. I have no complaints about the exam. However, when they suggested I try progressive lenses, it was with the caveat that if I didn't like them I could return them. What they didn't say is that I would not get a refund for choosing a less expensive option. The doctor did offer $100 discount on nonprescription sunglasses, but I would then be paying more for something I didn't need. I would have paid MUCH less by taking the prescription and going to Costco, who has a better return policy. read more

Office was able to see me before my scheduled appointment time at a short notice. I had an appointment at 5:15pm. I called at 3:30pm and asked if I could be seen at 4:00pm instead. The office accommodated my request. Once I arrived at the office, I was greeted by a friendly staff and provided forms to fill out. I filled out the necessary forms and was promptly called to begin my eye exam. The exam went smoothly and the doctor explained things in a way I could understand. The doctor welcomed questions and provided clear answers. The doctor also informed me of the benefits provided by my insurance plan. When it was time to select my glasses (sunglasses) the staff was helpful and patient while I made my selection. Overall the experience was near perfect. My only negative criticism would be the patient forms I filled out. The form containing questions about my insurance, contact information, and health history could be improved a bit. For example increasing the space available to write the address. This is very minor and I'm being overly critical because I spend a lot of time writing forms for my job. In summary, the doctor and front-office staff are great. I would definitely recommend this office to my friends and family. read more

Been looking for a new eye doctor since my previous doctor retired and I must say I was very pleased. I usually have to wait for an appointment for longer but they fit me in sooner than expected. Dr. Holcomb was great & helpful; however, Trina, the one who helped me, my husband & my son on our frames was so unprofessional. We didn't like the way she talked to us. Everytime we asked her something she got so defensive on her responses. On the other hand, Patty the one who helped my daughter was professional. She was calm and answered my questions nicely. read more

Very friendly staff all around. This was my first time and it was a great experience. Their frame selection was limited which was the only disappointing part. Everything else was great. I had to call back to get my file sent to an ophthalmologist and the receptionist who answered my call was super friendly and efficient. They even called me a week after my new contact trial to follow up. Wonderful service. read more

Me and my family have been going to Crystal View Optometry for several years. We have always received very good customer service from the optician and everyone else that works there. I have even brought in my glasses that have had screws that have disappeared and my lenses have popped off. They always happily repair them. read more

Went in to see Dr Holcomb to renew a contact lens and eyeglass prescription. She provided a comprehensive exam and gave me some excellent recommendations on new bifocal contacts as well as progressive and occupational lenses. In addition to her clinical expertise, I was impressed in the way I observed her sensitivity when helping an employee deal with a personal matter. Additionally, Dr Holcomb served in the Navy and I thank her for her service. read more
