Facing the Gulf from 19th floor

Remember that this building houses condos. You rent your condo from individual owners. Some are better than others. The building itself is excellent. They did it right. Great views. Great pools (the best on Gulf Shores I would argue). Elevators are a bit slow but oh well. Parking lot is huge. I will stay here again when visiting Gulf Shores.

A good sunset view from the condo

The Crystal Towers property is a nice getaway to chill out during the offseason when it's not as crowded. There's a massive swimming pool on the other side of the property, a inside pool, a small outdoor pool and a sauna. The little arcade that they had years ago is no longer here, but honestly, you'll be better off going to a major video game arcade in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach surrounding. Getting to the beach is a breeze since you're already inside. They have an indoor walkway that connect to the other side of the property and it's cool watching cars pass by above you from the safety of the walkway. Security have a way of knowing if you're a paying guests and if not, you'll be removed from the property. The condo we ended up staying in is Unit 1409 and from a distance, everything is nice, but getting up close, you'll start to noticed several issues around the condo. The place seriously needs a major paint job in all area of the condo and the curtains need changing since I spotted several stains on them. One of the bathroom doors doesn't lock which can be an issue if more people are staying here. What killed it for me was the triple bunk bed. While I agree to sleep on top, I had no way of knowing that it'll be loose until after I got in it. It seems like the screws aren't tight and I felt uncomfortable sleeping in it since it keeps moving every time I turn my body in a certain position. Luckily, the sofa felt like I was sleeping on a cloud in heaven. Crystal Towers is a nice property, but for the one who own the unit 1409, needs to check up on it regularly.

We decided to stay at the crystal tower her in gulf shores and it's very nice it has a gym, 2 in door pools, a outdoor pool and a sauna our room is big enough for multiple people to stay in if your looking for a place to stay at when you come to gulf shores I recommend crystal tower were staying on the top floor and the view is amazing the only down side about the crystal tower is that the room did need just a little work down to. Even though I liked the bunk bed and I slept so good on the bottom part I would have been find just sleeping on a regular bed. The top part was very lose and I don't blame my friend for going to sleep on the couch i also feel like some of the pictures could have not been on the wall

The view from the unit is owsome! No opstical or any in front of me! Eat ocean view even eating at the dinning rm.

The staff were all helpful and friendly. There was someone playing live music at certain times of the day. The room was clean and had a simple but nice setup. The shower had great water temperature and pressure. We had an ocean view room which was worth the extra cost. Waking up to the beach every morning was so satisfying. Reading on the balcony while listening to the ocean sounds and watching the waves was everything that I needed. The hotel has beach towels that are easily checked out through a machine. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available first come first serve to hotel guests which is very convenient. There was a heated outdoor pool, a volleyball net and a few games inside. We ate all of our meals at the hotel. We ate at the grab and go food spot. I ordered the feta and spinach croissant, a chocolate chip scone and a cappuccino. We also ate dinner at the latitude 30. I ordered a ceasar salad and calamari. For breakfast at latitude 30, I ordered the French toast dish that comes bacon and I ordered a side of eggs. We also ate at the fine dining restaurant onsite where I ordered the seared scallops dish and the vanilla crème brûlée. All of the meals that we ate at the hotel were very tasty. The restaurant staff were all kind and the utensils were spotless. I believe food may have also been served at the bar near the pool, but I didn't try any food from there during my visit. I really had an enjoyable time at this hotel and I plan to return in the future.

I'm older than…read moredirt and have never been arrested, yet was approached by a security guard this morning as I took a sip of black coffee I got from a coffee pot in the hotel lobby. (I had called earlier commenting about no coffee in the room and was told there was a coffee bar in the lobby... never any mention of a charge) Mortified, walletless, not knowing what to do, I dumped my coffee in the waste basket and went back to our room. We are staying here for a week so I called to ask how much the coffee was and was told $3.75 a cup. Now our idea of entertainment since my husband can't move around very well is sitting on the deck by the ocean and drinking coffee.... So it's kind of a big deal to us, as it probably is with other seniors and mobility challenged individuals, so thought I'd share. Aside from that the room is nice and the view great, which probably keeps people coming. Also, the pizza we had at the Hotel bar was not very good. So overall nice stay if you pack your Keurig and dine somewhere else.

The pool and jacuzzi are right on the sand, which makes it extra relaxing. The staff is super helpful and we have to give a shoutout to Noah Vegas for the customer service he provided. The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is due to the food. They only offer a lackluster breakfast buffet and during the day undercooked pizza. I'd pass on the food but everything else was solid.

Most concerning was the presence of a live roach in our room--clearly visible and captured in a photo. While it stayed still long enough for the picture, the fact that it was moving around beforehand was unsettling. Service was mixed. Upon arrival, the staff was reasonably courteous, but checkout was impersonal--when I handed in the keys, the front desk agent didn't speak, only giving a slight head shake when I asked if anything else was needed. As an IHG Platinum member, I was surprised to learn that the latest checkout time allowed was 12 PM, rather than the usual 2 PM. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was good with very hot water available. However, the pillows lacked support, the TV was small and didn't function properly, and the Wi-Fi was so slow it was nearly unusable. Breakfast was average; I was disappointed not to see the egg white omelets typically offered at other IHG locations. We also ran out of lotion during our stay, which has never happened to me at a hotel before. Overall, despite some redeeming qualities, I would not choose to stay at this property again.

Having a full kitchen with a real refrigerator is one of the benefits of staying in a Staybridge Suites. We liked the room (in comparison to the previous hotel room) since it had so many outlets to charge our computers and devices. There was also a nightlight in the bathroom, so we didn't need to brighten the whole room during our nightly visits. This bed was way more comfortable than the other hotel, and the room was truly dark. With no alarm set, we had no idea of the actual time that we woke. And we couldn't hear a thing from the other rooms. We are at the start of a week across the South. This hotel is certainly on our "come back" list! Friendly staff, clean room, nice bedroom, a full kitchen and a good price. Very hard to beat.

It's a shame this place only got 3.5 stars, when some things are 5 stars and some are 1 star…read more The reason I'm giving them 2 rather than 1 is that the rooms are spacious, updated and staff are nice. The bathroom was amazing, BUT not 1 hook on the walls. What I do not like about the hotel is for a simple reason (or 2). The room we were in had a dorm style, tiny refrigerator that didn't even have a frozen section. For being a pet friendly hotel, some people feed their pets refrigerated foods and I suspect that some may be needed to be kept frozen during a longer trip. The frig was so tiny and cheap looking that it must have been at the cut off for where they chose to spend money on the IHG, a famous brand of hotels. I had freezer cubes that needed to be refrozen over night and then over the road they would stay cold in a cooler. I couldn't use their dinky refrigerator to refreeze my blue cubes. Of course there is no breakfast, nor the possibility of some coffee as a courtesy from the hotel in the morning as they tell clients to go elsewhere to eat and drink coffee. I can stay at an equally nice hotel AND at the very least, have a cup of coffee in the morning (or even a little food) at no cost. I do not like the room coffee machine as it isn't the same quality. Funny how they may have a sign that says something like, if you forgot something, let us know. Well, I forgot tea and coffee.... Or how about this? What if before you book a hotel, your determining factor for staying is based on whether they feel enough or care enough to take care of their guests to offer at the very least, hot tea or coffee in the morning? This is what I will do in the future, ask this basic question, breakfast or coffee in the morning? If they say no, I will take my business elsewhere and you should do the same I also do not like the hard floors as you hear nearby noises more easily. But that might just be the trend and I'm old school about carpeting. The room was really nice, but I left feeling unwelcome as they could care less about me leaving happy (with some caffeine) or just collecting my money. I actually couldn't wait to leave and find a coffee place that would gouge me on basic coffee. Remember amenities, when it was a thing? So, NO, I won't be back and will remember IHG and keep in mind how money oriented they are rather than serving their guests.

We booked a room for my 18 year old son and his girlfriend and they were told they couldn't stay, even though they had already driven halfway there from Texas. We then had to scramble to find them a motel in another town. I contacted IHG and they just say, ok, they will pass the message onto the web developers. Again, please do not book if you are under 25.
