Crystal Pools seems to get badly reviewed on line. It's not fair. The people in the Lancaster Store are great. The pool open/closing scheduling system out of Elizabethtown admittedly can use some work, but the workman that have come to my home have all been knowledgeable and friendly. I wish I could give negative numbers for adults review . They installed a pool for me in 2013 and I've had nothing but problems with it. Worst investment I ever made was using crystal pools. The salt cell on my above ground pool didn't work right since the moment it was installed. After constant weekly calls to complain and request the service department to come out and fix it, I was finally forwarded to the owner who was rude and accused me of not doing something right to cause the issue. He finally replaced the cell after 4 years of this nightmare and it worked well for awhile. I began again having issues with the electric being tripped and set up yet another service call. They literally came out to my house and pushed the electrical reset button and left! They never even assessed the actual cause of why it was tripping it! Then- for the first time- i got charged a service fee of $700! For literally pushing a reset button and walking away without fixing the issue!!! I refuse to pay this bill since nothing was fixed. Even after multiple attempts to explain nothing was fixed and the pool still wasn't running, I didn't get anywhere- they still want to charge for service not rendered! So, I called thier competitors and it was again a bad salt cell tripping the system and needed replaced. Spent a fortune to have the whole pump and salt system replaced but at least I dont have crystal pools worthless equipment for my pool anymore. This is now a dream instead of the nightmare I was dealing with. Do not use crystal pools. Awful customer service, awful pools and equipment and they only care about money. Look at the reviews for this place. You wont find many if at all, positive reviews. Stay away and dont buy from them. ​ read more

Similar issue as others with customer service. I stopped by to check what was included in opening. Documentation says "all accessories". Apparently all accessories does not include all accessories. They would not did not reattach the female receptors for the pool reel - even though they take it off at close. When I asked why because "all accessories", the service manager told the scheduler to not contract with us for a close. read more

Crystal Pools, Elizabethtown, PA, has great service. Technicians are professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Over the past few years we have had their techs here for various issues. We had one of their techs here two years ago to replace our loop loc anchors and one of them (The Pool Whisperer) adjusted our inground pool liner. We never said a word to him about the liner. He saw it and just fixed it on the spot. Two of their techs were here recently and could not have been more courteous. Another job well done. Crystal pools install one of there true L pools for us about ten years ago. The steps, have a warranty concern, they developed a big cravk in the centers. They told us to have Jack Armstrong repair them, and it is not a warranty concern. Jack performed a repair and now, one year later the step are collapsing from erosion under the pool. They will not honor the warranty for the steps and say Jack should try to repair them again. The patio pavers around the pool have sunken 4 inches. But they say it's not from settlement of their back filling. I know the steps support under the steps is rotted and eroded away support from the settling. They refuse to even consider they may have to honor the warranty in our case. Do not use Crysrsl pools for your pool, you will thank me later, for the advice. read more

Ordered in March, installed and completed in June. Weather was a big factor getting it done as they said it would take about two days and it was more like two weeks. The crew was great, especially Dave and Lloyd. Just a personal note about the closing and opening of the pool at the beginning and end of season. We were told they would come and show us how to do it and that we should call and get on the schedule. When I called, the girl told us that it costs $275 to have this done. In my opinion, this service should be included as part of the package as a one time service. For this, I give only a four star resting. read more

Crystal Pools provides poor service. They put in a good pool but once they have their money, you are at their mercy. No "The customer is right" philosophy with them. I've had to take off work when they open or close the pool because they do not do everything that I'm paying for. Several times refused to vacuum the pool (included in the opening price) but charged me full price. When they came back to vacuum later, charge was around $100. Next time they refused to vacuum, we insisted on refund for the vacuuming....guess what? Refund was $25! Another time, a bolt (installed right before closing) broke when they opened the pool. Instead of replacing it free, they charged us (gave some lame excuse). We had it mailed to our house and paid immediately. Apparently someone failed to mark it as paid and we were harassed by Crystal and I had to prove bill was paid. In my 19 years of dealing with them, I find the service department to be unethical and certainly not customer oriented! Seems every other year they change when and how you call to open/close the pool. I have several friends planning to put in pools this year. I strongly recommended they NOT use Crystal Pools and they assured me they will not! read more

We bought a pool from crystal pools in e-town pa above ground 18 round paid cash went with crystal pools because they have a good reputation they installed our pool last September we didnt swim in the pool till end of may and have divits all over the bottom of the pool We didnt even make it a year so they came out on the 30th of may and said it was their fault now a manager came out and said about moles... never the less they installed a bad pool they need to replace the liner repack the sand and refill the pool with water ..I will update to let you know how this company deals with this or if we have to get a lawyer. Updates will be posted. Update 7/18/2011 Crystal pools above ground pool manager Nate sent a proposal out offering water, repacking the sand and at their decision the pool liner which we really dont like because the way the old liner stretched out on the bottom i dont see how they could reuse this and the water will be out until they repack the sand.I will update how they handle the liner to get that last star from us.Crystal Pools is a good company updates on the way.Everything handled good pool is redone. read more

I would like to start with when these people want to sell you they sure will. I don't understand how they don't fully explain shit. I called the store because I had the pool installed and 2 people from there told me about the electrician part being in the back of the contract nothing in the back of that contract mentions I need my own electrician to for that filter. Secondly they told me they couldn't schedule my install until I had my permits ok I get it. Magically which im grateful for they bumped me up. So what happened to all those other people before me you had them scheduled without them having their permits? But couldn't schedule me because I didn't have them. Then I'm the customer why am I going every which way point of contact to reach you people once I have all my documents. I'm a first time home owner I don't know anything about stuff like this it was their job to break down everything. And then act like whatever because you already made your commission when I had a problem....The installers were great got the job done fast....but staff and sales people need help!! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! A friend and I were planning on swimming at his house but we were informed that the pool was damaged and in need of repairing. We first went to K-mart to check if they had pool patches but they didn't have it so we mad our way out to Crystal Pools. My friend and I have never been there before so this was a first. They knew where the pool patches were in the store. After they directed us to the section with the patches, we felt like we were being watched simply because of our age?!?! After we purchased the item and left the store, the manager stoped us. She then accused us of stealing and accused us of hiding it in our pockets. We then emptied out pockets to show her that we didn't take anything. She then let us leave after the fact that she just lost two customers due to an embarrassing accusation. I found this to be degrading just because we were teenagers which is ridiculous!!! Worst customer service, never returning, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. read more

This review is not against crystal pools, but against loop loc covers. Loop loc's website does not allow to leave a review, does not suprise me. I paid 4 years ago $2500 for a 15x30 loop loc cover. Each year since it was installed, it has developed a burn hole in the cover all in a 3 foot radius. First time they said it was fertiler landing on it. then I explained 1 piece of fertilizer is not going to fly over a 6' high solid fence, fly 40' in the air, and land in a 3 ' circle everyyear. Next they went to smoking, I dont smoke, fireworks, not in our development, embers from outside woodburners, which I don't have and won't except any of those would land everyyear in a 3'circle! Then loop loc had me take of 32 springs, high pressure it off, and ship it to New York. Crystal pool ate the bill for shipping and replacing the burns, which I am grateful for the wonderful service. Finally when I got it back, loop loc came up with their having numerous problems with window burns, or sunlight. There saying, the gas in my four year old windows has dropped which is allowing the reflection from the sun, to bounce off the windows and burn their material. It raised a couple questions, How in hell can the material be strong enough to hold an elephant, but can't handle sunlight??? My suggestions to perspective buyers, If you have any windows anywhere near your pool, or you have a pool subject to sunlight, this cover is not for you. If you have an elephant in your yard, this is probably the right cover. P.S., I keep the screens in my windows all year round. I did explain to them fro here on out, I will buy my covers from "IN THE SWIM" for $469.00. Again, crystal pools has been excellent to deal with, but stay away from those covers.
