Just had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Walked into this store on…read moreSaturday, 05/25/24 @ 3:15PM (Memorial Day weekend) to buy a few pool supplies. As I entered, I was greeted by the manager, and he asked what I was looking for? I commented: "I thought you guys would be swamped?" (since I was the only one in the store, and it was Memorial Day weekend). One of the items I was looking for were 1-1/2" eyeball outlet fittings. Another gentleman in the store said "I'd have to bring one in". I said: "If you have one I'll know if it's right". He pointed me to a bag of multiple fittings, and said: "They're in there." Considering most of the fitting were in opaque bags, making it difficult to see what I was looking for, I asked if he could find it for me. He hesitantly looked and retrieved it in only seconds. I said: "Thank you, that was helpful." He immediately got right in my face, as if to want to fight me? I said: "Is there a problem?" The manager then walks over, and asks me to leave. To which I complied. Needless to say, I will not be back. I can see now, why the store was empty?

If you've never installed a pool previously, you better find someone who has so that you can ask…read moreevery question in the book because they offered up absolutely no proactive information or planning for our project. I am trying to like these people as they install our inground pool, but they seem to want every step of the way to be a surprise and half finished. Communication would have gone a long, long way but they completely and utterly lacked in informing us of what to expect, when to expect it, and made clear attempts at excuses for things that could have been straightforward communication and I would have understood. The subcontractors they used were very nice and seemed to do a decent job. My impression is that Goodall failed at project planning to complete the job efficiently, and communication was at best reactive to our constant probes of questions to figure out what was going to go on at our home with this large project. It made it very difficult to plan our own parts of the project (ie landscaping, etc) and wasted a lot (a couple thousand dollars) of our money with wasted materials and I can't even tell you how much of our time has been wasted that could have been prevented if they provided a clear plan, design, and information. I will update this review when we're all said and done to hopefully a better rating with full details.

In addition, I have gotten great advice when I needed to replace my pool filter and had difficulties doing it myself. My pool wasn't installed by them, unfortunately, so they do not service it (they only service pools they install). But they are always very friendly and give expert advice. Having my water tested for free and being told what it needs to balance it, is extremely helpful!
