    My new motor cycle!!

Purchased a Joli hot tub in Jul. This will replace my motorcycle...dont ask.. So far all is good. Delivery was quick, installation went smoothly. One issue was during installation, they messed up the intalling the cover straps. Screwed them on wrong. Then they just removed the panel, turned it upside down, and re-installed the strap. Guess they didnt think I would notice the extra 3 holes. They are planning on replacing the panel....should take 2 weeks? FYI they supply you with a QRC code to download the manual. That took me to a 2002 manual. I searched and found a newer 2022 versionrsion Salesman was just ok, went back before being installed with a few issues and he was helpfull but we felt a little combative. Also had some techical questions and his knowledge seemed limited. Hopefully all will be just a good when winter arrives.

    Dissolving headrests.

My initial experience was great. Bob's came to my town as a traveling spa show. The salesguy was knowledgeable and no pressure. We got a great deal, and when we had a small issue with a leak after setup they came within a few days and fixed it. That gets them the 2 stars. As a customer, it's customer service after the sale that really speaks volumes. After a few weeks of owning and operating the spa, the headrests began to dissolve. It was bad enough we needed to drain and refill the whole thing. When I called, they suggested it was from using too many chemicals. I think I can follow directions and read a simple test strip(everything was in the normal range). If the chemical balance was that off that it would dissolve rubber and plastic, how did I manage to sit in the spa without burning off my lady bits? The guy then said my spa didn't even come with cushions...the cushions that were attached securely with fastners that went inside the spa wall. I said if it would be faster I'll just pay for the new cushions and hope it was a fluke. He asked that I email pictures, which I did. I called twice after to follow up only to be told he was "working on it." It's been 10 days now and my spa has 2 uncomfortable seats without the headrests. I will update this review depending on how my experience with this turns out. If you see more than 2 stars, it's because they decided to actually help me instead of ignore me.

I purchased a spa from Bob's over 10 years ago and have been great to work with over the years.

Best decision we made. We purchased the Cantabria by Caldera Spas. It has exceeded our expectations. We use it every night and love it!

Mike and David have always treated me superbly when I've purchased chemicals, and have made sure I knew how to get the most consistent use out of my spa.

Luckily, they had a jacuzzi brand vsp in stock. After talking with Debbie at the store I made my purchase and ran home to install it before the party which would be days later. Install went great but there was a problem with the display buttons. I managed to setup it up the way I needed via the Bluetooth app and the party was great with a clean pool. I followed up with Debbie on the problem with the buttons and share started working on it on her end. The problem was determined to be the sticker covering the button panel and apparently there was a revision made at the factory. She called me when it came in and I was able to easily swap it out and have a fully functional pump panel now. I can only imagine the hell it would have been had I purchased a pump online and had an issue like this. I normally do like to shop local when I can and since my interactions with Debbie at the local store I've started getting all of my supplies locally and supporting my local store since they have supported me greatly since the pump. Doesn't matter the question I have I know I can reach out to my local store now and for that they have earned all of my pool supplies business. Everyone there has been nothing but absolutely helpful and friendly.

If you've never installed a pool previously, you better find someone who has so that you can ask…read moreevery question in the book because they offered up absolutely no proactive information or planning for our project. I am trying to like these people as they install our inground pool, but they seem to want every step of the way to be a surprise and half finished. Communication would have gone a long, long way but they completely and utterly lacked in informing us of what to expect, when to expect it, and made clear attempts at excuses for things that could have been straightforward communication and I would have understood. The subcontractors they used were very nice and seemed to do a decent job. My impression is that Goodall failed at project planning to complete the job efficiently, and communication was at best reactive to our constant probes of questions to figure out what was going to go on at our home with this large project. It made it very difficult to plan our own parts of the project (ie landscaping, etc) and wasted a lot (a couple thousand dollars) of our money with wasted materials and I can't even tell you how much of our time has been wasted that could have been prevented if they provided a clear plan, design, and information. I will update this review when we're all said and done to hopefully a better rating with full details.

This company is operating as a Jacuzzi reseller (independent Sales Organization - ISO)…read more After complaining to Van Dorn, I have since found that Van Dorn is the only registered provider of Jacuzzi spas in the state of Maryland. I know this because I contacted Jacuzzi directly and they gave me a secondary provider in Hagerstown, MD that is subsequently cut-off by Jacuzzi since Covid, 2019. This means that Van Dorn is the only seller and provider of maintenance in the State of Maryland. Hence, Van Dorn knows they are the only registered provider of Jacuzzi Sales and Maintenance. They use this advantage by charging exorbitant fees for new and existing Maryland Consumers that purchase a Jacuzzi spa. With that said, it is obvious that this company is acting like a 'Monopoly' for the Jacuzzi spas purchased by consumer in the state of Maryland. In other words, we the consumers are FORCED to work with Van Dorn for our proper Jacuzzi maintenance. Van Dorn, (knowing that have a monopoly), in turn charges exorbitant prices to conduct basic maintenance that is as little as 30 mins for $205.00. This works out to $410.00/hr. I just experienced this (super charge) of $205.00 for a tech to 'open up the COVER OF THE spa," tighten some pipe unions and then LEAVE within 30 minutes, and this was after I waited 30 days for him to come out to me in the first place. How is that verifying that my Jacuzzi tub is working properly and not leaking (which was the main part of our service call in the first place)? With this complaint, I already know, that Van Dorn will use the excuse that the Spa was not filled with water so they cannot test things, but that is bogus since for the last 5 years they have been using an 'external pump' that quickly extracts water from a nearby pool and is used to fill the spa (fast - usually in 20 mints or less). It comes down to whether THEIR TIMETABLE for the day will use the 'external-pump approach' to ACTUALLY fix the problem, OR use 'the excuse' that the Spa is not filled to justify their 20-30 mints "service." They love to use this 'external pump approach' to benefit (or not) their schedule to handle all Jacuzzi needs across the State of Maryland. excuse where the spas are filled (or not). This is their "bufffer" that they use for charging $205.00 for the visit. It is a shameful approach to business, and one that is manipulating Maryland Code. With tha said, over the years I have seen how they like to manipulate the use of their 'external pump' as an excuse that the spa cannot be tested (since it is not filled - when they come out) to determine whether the spa works or has leaks. I have seen thier use of this excuse for many years now. All the time, they could be using ther external pumps to fill the spa, run the spa and determine operation and/or leaks. As an educated citizen of Maryland, I need/want/alert the state of this egregious use of monopoly that is happening in the State of Maryland, of which I was born. I am tired of small dealers extorting the Citizens of Maryland and I ask that you crack down on this 'Monopoly' that Van Dorn has on Maryland citizens. In closing, If I cannot get recon stance from your department, I will be taking this to the Maryland Supreme Court. Thank you, Stephen J.
