Purchased a Joli hot tub in Jul. This will replace my motorcycle...dont ask.. So far all is good. Delivery was quick, installation went smoothly. One issue was during installation, they messed up the intalling the cover straps. Screwed them on wrong. Then they just removed the panel, turned it upside down, and re-installed the strap. Guess they didnt think I would notice the extra 3 holes. They are planning on replacing the panel....should take 2 weeks? FYI they supply you with a QRC code to download the manual. That took me to a 2002 manual. I searched and found a newer 2022 versionrsion Salesman was just ok, went back before being installed with a few issues and he was helpfull but we felt a little combative. Also had some techical questions and his knowledge seemed limited. Hopefully all will be just a good when winter arrives. read more

Nice when you want to buy, NOT nice when you wonder where the refund check that they mailed a week ago is. We worked with one salesperson but the one that I dealt with on the phone has been rude. He said I accused him of "stealing our money." What I actually said was I haven't received the check that they supposedly mailed. I had a bad experience with another company saying they mailed us our refund check and we didn't receive it after a month. That the company Fedexed a check to us and we never received the other check that they said they had sent. That I don't trust anyone after that. The $100.00 referral bonus is a lie. Our friend bought a hot tub from Bob's and he gave our name as the recommendation. When we inquired about the money, it was once excuse after another. First it was, well it has to be installed first then you will get your money. Then it was well, we don't have you in our system. We bought our hot tub in 2015 from Bob's in Mechanicsburg. Then it was, "well our manager will call you about your concern." No return call ever. After several months, we gave up. We had a circuit board replaced in 2021. We scheduled our service appt when we would be home. Well, they showed up a few hours ahead of time and went ahead and did the service. We don't know if it was a legit repair or not. We were not home. Was it really our circuit board? Awfully expensive to replace. Ultimately, we feel their business is a little shady. I would look around if you are in no hurry. read more

Service is terrible. We were charged a service fee for a tech to come to our house and tell us what we already knew - we had a bad pump. Solution was to unplug it until they could get a new one installed. It's been 10 weeks, and nothing. I called again today, and they said they don't have the part yet. An update... if you complain too many times, Tara, the owner will not honor their 3 year warranty. It is sad that you purchase a large investment, $7,414, thinking you are getting a 3 year parts and labor warranty and if you have too many problems with the spa or make the owner mad, this company can refuse to honor their warranty. Then good luck getting anyone to service the spa without charging. MAXX spas needs to be accountable for dealers that are misrepresenting the details outlined prior to purchasing. My initial experience was great. Bob's came to my town as a traveling spa show. The salesguy was knowledgeable and no pressure. We got a great deal, and when we had a small issue with a leak after setup they came within a few days and fixed it. That gets them the 2 stars. As a customer, it's customer service after the sale that really speaks volumes. After a few weeks of owning and operating the spa, the headrests began to dissolve. It was bad enough we needed to drain and refill the whole thing. When I called, they suggested it was from using too many chemicals. I think I can follow directions and read a simple test strip(everything was in the normal range). If the chemical balance was that off that it would dissolve rubber and plastic, how did I manage to sit in the spa without burning off my lady bits? The guy then said my spa didn't even come with cushions...the cushions that were attached securely with fastners that went inside the spa wall. I said if it would be faster I'll just pay for the new cushions and hope it was a fluke. He asked that I email pictures, which I did. I called twice after to follow up only to be told he was "working on it." It's been 10 days now and my spa has 2 uncomfortable seats without the headrests. I will update this review depending on how my experience with this turns out. If you see more than 2 stars, it's because they decided to actually help me instead of ignore me. read more

Overall staff were very helpful. I love my tub but was a little disappointed that not all corner seats can be on at the same time. Would have prolly bought the Michael Phelps tub instead with additional pump. Also, was told one delivery date and when I called to confirm the day before, the date was changed to the following week. I would not even give them one star but there was no negative rating, I called them for a problem with my heater which on my spa which by the way I just had them fix it and replace it with a new heater and all they wanted was my credit card for $149 to come and look at the same problem that I they were supposed to have fixed. When I asked to speak with the manager, the person on the phone refused to let me speak with one and told me that if I was not going to give him my credit card information he did not have anything else to say to me and when I told him I was not giving him my credit card information he hung up the phone on me. This is no way to conduct business, but I am done with them because that was the most unprofessional behavior ever. I will have someone else look at the spa and if they did a bad job they wil be sued. read more

Strong points for help from customer service reps Bethany and Mike, responsiveness to problems found immediately upon delivery and prompt arrival and friendliness of service technician Korey. I can't give a 5 star rating, because communication prior to delivery wasn't superb. They somehow lost my file and I hadn't been updated about the delivery date until I went in person to inquire. The second reason for my 4/5 rating is that my sales person did not explain the option of Soft Treads and also didn't accurately describe the difference between the Challenger and Trainer models. I might have opted for the Challenger model had I known that the swim current is air free on the Challenger--it isn't a mere difference of a variable speed pump. Another reason for 4/5 stars is more a reflection on the Master Spas company itself, because my swim spa was sent with the wrong color panels and had a terrible leak causing a loss of all the water from the hot tub side. (Water I had paid to have delivered.) My husband also thinks it's odd that the customer has to be their own general contractor and hire/coordinate the masonry contractor, electrician and possibly also a crane company in order to prepare for a swim spa delivery. For such an expensive item, it would be nice if Bob's offered a "white glove" service that would take care of all of those steps. Not everyone would want to pay for such a premium service, but having the option would save a lot of headache. read more

When it came down to it the best bang for the buck was the Master Spa H2X. Having had it for just about a month now, we couldn't be happier. In the midst of the Covid pandemic, we decided a great diversion would be a spa. Went to Bob's early after businesses reopened, and picked a spa and date for delivery. Prepped the patio, upped the electric, and today the spa was delivered. Very personable staff. Arrived on time, and with "heads up" for when to expect them. We had a little snaffu, but Bob's rectified everything, and the tub is full and heating up. They made the best of everyone's situation right now, and were easy to work with. I ordered a new Vita Spa's Sensation model from Bob's on January 30, 2021. There are a lot of good things about dealing with Bob's. 1) The sales person was friendly, patient with answering questions and very knowledgeable about the products. 2) I think they do a fairly large volume of business and as such have inventory arriving all the time. Due to Covid, spa manufacturers have very long lead times. In many cases over a year. Bob's is able to buffer that substantially based on the active orders they already have flowing through the manufacturers factories. We were able to get delivery May. 3) The delivery crew is top notch. Professional, pay attention to detail and are very thorough making sure that everything is set up right and that they explain all operations and chemicals thoroughly. 4) Service department is fast and the service people seem to be highly trained at diagnosing problems. Why one star? The Vita Spa Sensation hot tub we received leaked. I know these are large products that ship long distances and therefore I was willing to work with Bob's to get the leak fixed. They sent a service person over promptly when I reported the leak. He determined there was a bad part that had to be replaced. Bob's ordered the part and had it delivered and installed a day or two later. Unfortunately after waiting two days after the repair to refill the tub we found that it still leaked. Again a service tech from Bob's came out quickly, drained the tub, refilled it and said it was fixed. After being out of town for a week I returned to find the tub still leaking. Another service tech came out and confirmed there was a leak and said they would be back to fix it. That was the very last I heard from Bob's. I tried to reach the General Manager three times via very polite phone messages and when no calls were returned I stopped by to try to catch him in person to discuss the situation. He was not there and I left another message in person. The guy simply never called back so I went into the store and said I wanted to talk about initiating a refund. There were no questions asked whatso ever and they scheduled a day to pick up the tub and refunded my money. Everyone at Bob's was good but due to the lack of communications from the GM I cannot recommend that anyone do business with them. Had he simply communicated we probably could have gotten the leaks fixed but he simply would not return my calls. I would also have to give the Vita Spas brand a very low rating due to the leaks. The product quality is not on Bob's, that is on the manufacturer. read more

Initial experience with sales staff was great they were knowledgeable about the products and no pressure placed to buy. Then it takes over 5 months for our spa to arrive. Once at our house and literally as they were pulling away and we are adding the water we noticed our brand new hot tub was LEAKING!! To say this was a disappointment is an understatement. We called the store immediately but they brushed us off. Finally two days later someone comes to look at the spa and verifies the leak. It takes a week for the part to come in. Repairman comes back and spa is STILL leaking. So we call the store and they need to send someone else out. They find ANOTHER leak. Mind you the spa is only two weeks old, and owner has not once returned any phones calls addressing our concerns. We are still waiting for second leak to be fixed. We asked for 15% back and an extended warranty. Owner said they can only give $250. If you read other reviews this is not the first experience a customer had had with Bob's not making it right! I wish I would have done more research before wasting my time on this company! read more

This brief positive review of Bob's Intowne Spas follows a recent service call on the coldest day so far in 2015. After 7 years of dutiful service, the heater crashed on our Coleman/Maxx spa. It was time! I called Bob's and told Chris, the service manager, I was not getting power to my spa and I was afraid of it freezing. He calmly directed me to put a spa heater near the tube area until service tech Jason could arrive. Jason arrived ahead of schedule, diagnosed the problem within minutes and had it replaced within a half an hour...all while working in bitter cold temperatures. He never complained about the snow and biting cold once. Jason did a thorough inspection of all of our jets and found a few that had cracks in them. Again, after 7 years of continuous use, I was frankly surprised I hadn't changed out jets before. He assured me I could replace these jets myself during the next use of the spa which I did. Immediately after he left for his next service appointment, I drove to Bob's and picked up the jets and paid for the service call and new heater. They even discounted the final bill. In 7 years this is my first repair of any kind to my spa. The professionals at Bob's are terrific. Mike and David have always treated me superbly when I've purchased chemicals, and have made sure I knew how to get the most consistent use out of my spa.
