ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I got a full set done and they completely rushed through it and when they applied the acrylic it went into the crease of my fingers and caused them to SWELL. I'm used to getting my nails done and I know they're supposed to be sore for a day or so but this was beyond sore. Also mid way the gentleman that was doing my nails grabbed all the cash from the desks and ran outside to buy something out of someone's car and then came back 10 min later to finish them!! The next day I went back to get refunded and they completely denied me, I showed them the pain they caused and they pretty much said "oh well". NEVER going back there again, and they've already been reported to state board 4 times just this year! Here goes another complaint to the board for them!! FUCK YOU GUYS! read more

Walked in and was seated with 15 mins, showed the girl a picture of what I wanted minus the bows and she said okay. Let me mention I could not understand really anything she was saying to me so I just kept pointing to the picture. She said that cost 5$ more I said okay that's fine and once again pointed to the picture and said just make it look like that...she gets almost done with my nails and they look nothing like the picture. So I said something and she proceeded to tell me it was my fault not hers and that she asked. I said yes and I can't not understand you! I told you to do my nails exactly like the picture regardless of cost!!! So another girl stepped in to try and rescue my nails which still arnt entirely what I wanted, but close enough. And she left them super tacky looking so I had to have the guy that works there fix the rest for me. 3 nails techs for one simple job... But last I checked the customer is ALWAYS right. I couldn't believe when she said that's your fault not mine, umm I'm pretty sure your in control of what you are doing to my nails not me. I told you AND SHOWED her a picture which was sitting right in front of her the whole time and she could not manage to make it happen. I have noticed good and bad reviews for crystal nails and thought since I have been there several times I ought to put a review up here. So bear with me and grab a snack because this review is going to be long but thorough. The business itself is in an older shopping center and although not glamorous, inside is very clean and organized. They have 3-4 manicure stations that allow for two people to be worked on at each station. So friends can sit next to each other which is nice. There is also one or two major acrylic nail stations which are done by the owners because they're more experienced. They also do gel polish which tends to last around two weeks for me but then I'm pretty hard on my nails. Manicures usually run $15, with gel being $5-$10 more of you get a design. Pedicures have 3 options: basic is $20 (Omg cheap right?), pedicure with mask is $25 and the deluxe with sea salt scrub, mint mask, leg massage and paraffin wax is $30....pretty darn good deal. I sometimes get the basic mani/pedi package which is $35. They have around 6 pedicure massage chairs and are slowly replacing the currennt chairs with newer models. Now key things and tips to remember..... this place gets busy. It is best if you make an appointment but they do take walk ins. That said....they're there to give you a decent pedicure in an efficient amount of time, not slow or fast but moderate...they have other people to get to. If you want an hour long soak in a chair....then you may want to go somewhere else because once again, there are usually quite a few people waiting. Same with the manicures. Also, part of your experience depends on who you get! Each person is different in experience, personality, design style and language level. They have 2 newer people right now and several others who are more experienced. So, what do we take away from this long winded review?.... glad you got the snacks I suggested huh? ---it gets busy....so make an appt if you aren't patient ---it's not a lazy atmosphere so if youbwant peace and quiet .... go elsewhere unless it's early morning or late evening. ---not everyone speaks English well there but most of them do so be conscious and understanding of that, they're trying. ---other people are waiting too....so they're not going to spend all day on you. If that's what you want...then I nce again, go elsewhere. ---basic pedicures are 20 bucks! Yay! ---each person is different...if you have a bad experience with one then simply note their name and request someone else next time. ---they are people too...not your servants ---it's supposed to be fun so go in there happy not uptight Hope this was helpful and not too painful to read! I have been here many times and I have had both good and bad experiences. I usually go for just a pedicure, but my mom gets acrylic gel nails. Every time my mom gets a full set here she has problems with them lasting until the next fill. The last time I had a pedicure and opted for the whole $35 package; expecting my rough heels to be gone. I got home and showered and used lotion and my feet were almost as rough as when I left this morning. I don't think I'll be back. read more

The employees were very nice however I was not pleased with my gel manicure. The polish is uneven and bumpy and my nails are all different lengths. They also didn't do the design I wanted at all! I just discovered this place on yelp. Went there 3 times in the last two months. They are quick with their mani and pedis, at least with me , my experience has been in and out. Even my massages were rushed. I always get Gel mani and regular color pedi; they last two week with no peeling. They aren't cheap with the polish, the guy puts it on thick. Don't expect spa level service. They are fast, efficient and my nails look great. The only downside is that all three times, they seemed to cater to white clientele more. read more

I came in around the middle of the day. The man doing my nails was so busy he had to stop after filing each finger and take care of another customer which made my appointment take much longer than needed. Half way through he, he had another lady take over. I showed her the photo of what I wanted and she made it seem like she could do it no problem. The colors she picked were all wrong and she had no idea how to do the ombre technique I was looking for. I would have been fine choosing something else if she had been honest that she couldn't do it but I watched her struggle through my entire right hand before I had to stop her and have her try another color and another technique. In the end, my nails were way too think and the polish was chipped, uneven, and even had some lint stuck to them. And I never got the actual manicure I asked for. read more

Got a $35 dollar pedicure, here today. I waited 20 minutes for my turn and when the lady sat down to help me she asked which service I wanted, and I replied the #3 and she gave me a stink face and said she is too busy. Once I got the color on she messed up my first toe when I asked her to correct it she didn't start over on that toe she just wiped off the tip and put a top coat on. Needless to say its all bumpy and looks like crap. There are over 50 places to get your nails done in this county, don't waste your money on this one! read more

This was my first time here. It was recommended by several people I work with. I had gone to another salon in town for a gel manicure that started chipping the next day. There was a mix-up with my appointment but they were able to accommodate me with no wait (it was 9:30 in the morning). Got a powder dip manicure for the first time - looks great! Quick, and to the point! There were two of us for gel manicures. They got us in right away. Did great jobs on both of us and took around 30 minutes. I have been getting my manicures and pedicures here since December 2011. I am pretty hard on my hands and my gel tip manicures last me many weeks, I'm not going to lie, I sometimes go as many as six to eight weeks between visits. My shellac painted toes last me a month sometimes even 2 months. When Cherie does my pedicure I go from caveman to lady feet. Yes, this place gets busy. But, they're always as accommodating as can be. I have had each employee to date work on me at one point or another. And, not one person has ever been rude to me nor have I ever seen them to be rude to another person or customer. They are kind and loving people. I say this because I have watched as their own family has grown over the years. Here's the big kicker. I trust Don and his employees so much but I have no problem dropping off my debit/credit card to pay for a friend's manicure and coming back to collect it later. Very honest. Very clean. I asked for my eyebrows to be done a certain way. Showed a picture of myself to the lady, who didn't even look as she walked away while I was talking to her. After describing in detail how I would like my eyebrows done, she said she understood and began. I asked to look just in case I didn't like it and she refused until the end of service. She was very rough and hard with my face and very rude. After being handed the mirror, I looked in shock as my brows had been butchered. It was as if she did exactly the opposite of what I asked or intentionally ruined them. They are uneven, misshapen, just terrible. Could have done a better job myself. I will NEVER go back there nor do I recommend anyone to go there. After growing my brows to have them done professionally, I now have to start over as they are incredibly thin (I specifically asked her to keep them full) and very misshapen and uneven. I should've known better than to get my eyebrows done as well but it was a different lady so I did it. I love Crystal Nails. They have reasonable prices, probably the best in town, and I always get what I ask for! If you show them a picture they make your nails look really similar. I only go to Lyn or Don though. They are both fantastic. Anyone else in there is a toss up as to whether or not I am happy with my nails, but those two get it right every time. read more
