The appointments are very quick, no frills, and I had to do all of my own research. We left my second appointment with little to no information (didn't know my ring size, what ratio was, ideal clarity and color for the cut we chose, etc.), and were just told to select a stone and purchase the ring on their website. Unfortunately, my ring was also posted on their social media just days after my fiancé picked it up. During the checkout process, they have an option to add a "TikTok Video" when making the final purchase, which we deliberately did not add because my fiancé did not want the ring to be posted before he proposed. They also never asked him if they could post the ring. Based on our friends experiences with other jewelers, we thought it was reasonable to assume an engagement jeweler would wait to post until after the proposal. They posted without asking, and of course, our friends and I saw it on their socials. We definitely felt like "just a number" when it came to those parts of the process. Besides that, everything was great. During the design process, Frankie was very responsive and helpful, and the ring turned out beautifully. I love how customizable their rings are, and the customer service after we'd selected a diamond was great. I am definitely happy with the outcome, but would just make sure my friends have done their own independent research ahead of their appointment, and are very clear with Gage about social media expectations ahead of time.

My husband told me he'd be happy to get it for me, but I'd have to forfeit all bday presents until my 40th bday. Riigghhhht. I like presents so I resorted to plan B, which was to email every highly yelped jeweler in Chicago and even some in my hometown of Boca Raton, FL. I sent along a picture of the watch I wanted (the santos demoiselle with diamonds) and asked who would be able to get me the stainless steel version for the best price. I heard back from a few jewelers, but Gregg Helfer was by far the most responsive. He also came back with the most competitive price and I felt he was trustworthy since a good friend had just purchased her gorgeous engagement and wedding bands from him. Weeks later my hubby picked up my gorgeous new watch from Gregg and I absolutely love it! While I never met Gregg besides phone/email, I did have the chance to meet his brother Michael a few times in their store. He was also an absolute pleasure and even took out my extra watch links for me yesterday within 5 minutes. Gotta love speedy service! My only concern throughout the entire process was that Gregg was never able to give me a firm price until after the watch was ready. During one of our initial phone calls he estimated a price that I was happy with; however, when I received the invoice it was $700 more than he had quoted me. To Gregg's credit (and the reason why this is a 5 star business) he brought down the price minutes after I addressed the issue. While it all worked out, it always makes me a bit nervous to not know the exact price of something from the beginning...especially when jewelery is involved! Overall, I had a fabulous experience and can't stop staring at my beautiful new watch. Next time I won't have to waste my time emailing dozens of jewelers. I"ll just pick up the phone to call Gregg!

They truly love what they do. Tony and Scott don't advertise and they're a hidden gem in the city. It seems that most of their business comes from loyal, repeat purchasers that love their work. Unfortunately, I later discovered that the center stone was moissanite rather than the lab-grown diamond I believed I was purchasing. I paid approximately $2,350 for this ring. When I contacted Rosados Box and explained the situation, their proposed "one-time goodwill gesture" was an unspecified partial credit toward replacing the moissanite with a lab-grown diamond. After this supposed credit, I was quoted an ADDITIONAL $3,800-$4,200 PLUS shipping. Let that sink in: after already spending approximately $2,350, their proposed solution would have me spending over $6,000 total to end up with the type of center stone I believed I was buying in the first place. What makes this even more frustrating is that comparable three-carat lab-grown diamond rings can be purchased elsewhere for a fraction of that total cost. Calling a proposal that still requires another $3,800-$4,200 from the customer a "goodwill gesture" was honestly insulting to me. I wasn't asking for something extravagant. I was even willing to contribute up to $500 toward resolving the situation. Instead, I received a quote that would cost substantially more than the entire original ring. My wife is heartbroken and embarrassed by the situation, and I'm incredibly disappointed because I bought this as her wedding ring believing I was giving her what she wanted. My advice to prospective buyers: verify in writing exactly what your center stone is, request the grading report/certificate when applicable, and understand exactly what you're paying for before purchasing. I verbalized with Terry the specifications I had for my ring. All I told him was that I wanted a platinum skinny half pave band set for an oval diamond we had already selected. It sounds simple enough, but this was difficult to find! Just days later, he updated us that he already produced a mold of the setting that had the specifications of my gem. Then, I was completely caught off guard because just days after he sent us a picture of the mold, the entire ring was completed and on my finger. When I received the ring, I was honestly blown away - it was exactly what I wanted. The most impressive part of this entire experience is Terry's ability to understand his clients' needs. I didn't even show him a picture of what I wanted, but just described to him what I wanted. I couldn't believe he knew the exact thickness of the band I wanted just based off of the description of "skinny," and letting him know I had slim fingers (lol). He has an incredible breadth of knowledge and experience that allows him to correctly interpret even your most vague requests!
