The vibe there is very industrial - stadium-bright lighting, harsh colors, a bank of 12 TVs in front of the always filthy treadmills. Overall it's not pleasant in there the way an upscale gym would be. That said, it's the best option in the Stuart area and they do have everything you could need for any kind of workout. And while the main areas of the gym aren't kept very clean, the women who look after the ladies locker room do make an effort to clean it well. Gym is very busy. I initially loved it but it's gotten so busy and less personable that I didn't enjoy going anymore. When I moved I needed to cancel my membership, I called and explained that I needed to cancel. I was told I needed to come into the Gym to cancel which was followed by a quick hang up. I came in a few weeks later, when I was in the area and was met with a payment for annual fees and my monthly membership dues. Cost me $92 to cancel a membership that has "free cancellations ". I was told at the desk I could have sent a letter to corporate to cancel but unfortunately they couldn't waive the fees now. Seems like a ploy to get money from people which I don't appreciate. Don't expect TVs to all work. Do expect to see flies in the bathroom. Don't expect a "free" coaching session. Do expect to be docked $96 "accidentally". Great gym with the best equipment and options. Plenty of space with the exception of they changed the stretching area when they added an area of the middle of the gym for multi purpose unused space. This is where I stretch before I lift and I have nonstop unaware people walking over my head. It actually irritates the F out of me. I'm a pretty relaxed person but this triggers me into talking shit to whoever is walking over my head. I'd say as big as this gym is create a designated stretch zone that they originally had. I have never been treated with such ugliness and disrespect as I encountered with the manager, Tyler. Every time I have tried to freeze my personal training sessions due to a build up of sessions as my trainer was out for weeks, Tyler tells me it is frozen then enjoys still charging me. He makes up lies when I go there to speak to him about it. He tells me he froze it again then charged my card again! When I go to speak to him he belittles me, lies and when I asked about a corporate contact he said he wasn't permitted to give that out. He's quite the control expert at that club. His days have to be numbered, this can't possibly continue. I had to cancel my credit card to try and stop this. No reputable business ever asks for such sensitive information, especially in writing. The staff did not return my ID, and I discovered the loss the next day. When I returned to the club to ask for a manager, I was met with attitude. The front desk staff mocked me and refused to call a manager. A staff member named Nathan, speaking in a condescending manner, informed me that he would not contact anyone, refused to provide the manager's name or schedule, and claimed that he was the manager himself, dismissing my concerns entirely. Despite this, the staff--particularly the day manager--Gabriella ignored my request and forced a full facility tour and sales pitch on me. I repeatedly said I wasn't interested, but they continued to push programs I didn't ask for. What's worse, even after signing a liability waiver, they insisted on keeping my driver's license at the front desk, claiming it was for "liability reasons"--which makes absolutely no sense. Yes, they have a wide array of machines and about 10 squat racks which is nice. They really are only in need of a standing hamstring machine and possibly an extra leg extension and peck deck. The turnover in staff just makes it seem like a mess and a bit concerning, plus being a guest of a member is never welcoming. Lastly, the rules they decide to enforce and when is super annoying. Let's bypass the petty stuff and focus on teaching gym etiquette, put your own weights back for starters....enforce that. read more

She is a minor and should have had to get my permission and signature. I saw the reviews and decided not to go, but finally, wanting to see for myself, I went down. I was in for the cheap trick at 9 bucks a month. Yeah, they gave a hard sell, but I knew they would; it's their job. But as I walked into the gym and saw all the new Nautilus machines and stations, I was sold. I love going to CRUNCH. Great vibes, and everyone is helpful. I wasn't interested in the group classes in the package, but all of the rest was a no-brainer. I am 79 years old next month. The equipment is nice and it's very clean, but the music they play is so loud and the bass is turned up so high you can't even have a conversation. I put my ear buds in and can't hear my own music. Many of us have asked to have the music turned down and even though our memberships pay the staffs income, they just ignore us. When you hear songs that use the "N" word, "F" word and "P" word, makes you really wonder about Crunch's motto of "No Judgment" and "Inclusivity". Decent gym everything's clean & staff is very nice. Only issue is the yoga fierce class is offered once a week at a weird time but there is a million flow & foundation classes. Really misleading approach!!! Seems like a good deal when you walk in unless you read the fine print which is not the way it is explained. Once they have your charge card you've got a problem, they'll hit you every month (or every week) and make it very difficult to stop. And I recommend you NOT, agree to a training program. Again they make it near impossible to stop and keep hitting your charge guard until you cancel the card and get a new one. you can "pause the program", but you can never leave. They got me for over $800 for nothing. I'm fighting it through whatever means I have to no avail at this point. This is a company of crooks!!! read more

The WORST experience i have had at a gym to date! I will start by saying when I joined i was very excited to work out and get back into shape. My 1st visit was so uncomfortable. They tried pushing a personal training session on me. I declined. They harrassed me my whole session and said i was "CRAZY" for not wanting their guidence. it was absolutely embarrasing. i didnt return for a few months... because thats when the calls and texts finally stopped, again trying to push their "free" sessions. My 2nd visit... I couldnt even scan my card to check in before the same guy recignized me and continued trying to push his services. i declined again and he kept pushing until I finally left. Without working out mind you. Fast forward to today... I walked in to cancel as i would be switching gyms. I told them I was leaving due to lack of use. Silainy Fernandez was the person that was "helping" me. she said i would need to pay in order to cancel. I told her that should be waived as i have only checked in once. She said "nope". so i asked her to check with her manager and her response was "i am the GM". so i asked again to please waive the fee. she declined. as i was discussing with her my displeasure, still calm and polite, a 2nd young lady (Kelly Barrera) decided to interrupt and say if i didnt leave she was calling the Cops. I smiled and said please do. At that point the "GM" looked nervous as clearly I was calm and not being rude. I asked how they could take my fee for the month of December without allowing me to use the membership for the duration and she finally said "oh, you can". i said why didnt you explain that. that would be fine. As i go to my car i was stopped by a stuart police officer. they said a call was placed about me. when i told him the situation (my wife was present and told him the same story i layed out here) he laughed... said "please when you complain to corporate let them know we were called to the scene for this". i guess the stuart PD is getting tired of these nonsense calls as well. This location is hilarious. The people who work the front desk are beyond unprofessional. I was given a day pass to bring a guest to try ANY class. They tell me it is expired mind you I was given the pass TWO days before I was able to use it, like I do not have an outside life. Instead of just being understanding by just letting my friend mind you she's of color try a Zumba class ONE time. They made a big deal out of nothing and kept an eye on us the whole entire time we were working out. I then asked for a corporate number to complain and was told they do not have one. So it is okay for the "store manager" to make me feel discriminated? Who can I talk to because this IS NOT the first time this has happen. read more

If I could post 0 stars I would. Do not do business with these con artists. In December, I paused personal training by contacting the trainer directly. I was continuously charged a couple hundred dollars every two weeks until I noticed. I called Crunch, they told me to email corporate. I emailed for weeks and weeks, repeatedly to no avail. They continued to charge me. It wasn't until MARCH that I went in and demanded cancellation and a refund. They refused to refund. I went through Amex and got it back. When there I also asked them to cancel the gym membership, they said they would. It's now June. They are still charging me. I just called, and they said they can cancel, but will not give me a refund. I said, that's fine I'll go through American Express again. They told me that if I dispute any charges, they will undo cancellation. So they are going to re-enroll me in the membership without my consent. They also threatened to send the lack of payment to a collection agency. Bring it on. People like this are a menace to society. DO NOT go under contract with them. read more

Dirty - dirty - dirty! I used to marvel at how clean the gym was maintained. Don't wear a pair of white sneakers as you will leave with them gray - yuck! Crud everywhere - there must be a new secret manage; its really gross when your clothing sticks to the equipment. The so-called trainers used to clean the equipment in their (spare time - haha) now they have extra time to lean on the counter. The paper towel dispensers are empty more often than not. A big new improvement - towels provided by the cleaning solvent (which is totally unused) - trouble is ~~~ the towels are filthy dirty. Hopefully, this is just a blip! read more
