Water fountains were broken for about 26 days. Men's Sauna has been broken for over a month now. My membership fee includes having all things working here that's when I signed up for it. That's what I paid for. Then you could say well things happen and I completely agree. But after a month, it's just completely straight up neglect. I expect to be getting a credit from this month on until these things get fixed as this is what I'm paying for. Please deduct five dollars from my monthly fee starting now. Thank you. read more

Located in a plaza and was a smaller LA fitness but it wasn't crowded. There were plenty of machines available to use, smoothie area. It is bacteria free, unless you have urinary trac infections. Our urine seconds as a Bacteria medium in a petri dish, Then we have about 30 minutes before it will become ripe with unpleasant acrid smells we all experience in that one gas station restroom we wished we had not used, and then once back in the car to finish that last 100mile leg of our vacation trip, the car, due to the infused restroom smells no all in our clothing, the family is begging us to stop on the side of the road, and change all our clothes, and then burn them. Boys and men in front of the urinal always pee on the floor. Some how, We miss always miss the target. Ergo Meet "The Schiphol fly". So us guys take our pee break between sets, pee hits the urinal hits the floor, and bacteria immediately begins to grow where ever a drop has landed. If we men clean it up, it will help, however in the next half hour it's curtains for anyone just coming. Every missed drop compounded becomes that oder we all smell. The gym locker rooms are being continually cleaned on a schedule. All it takes is one guy missing the urinal and 30 minutes afterwards, we all complain. If we would Clean up after our self's, we would reduce our complaints. We could become part of our Complaints. Ergo the Schiphol fly In summery, no doubt you had to go to the bathroom and pee before you could get this far, Our La Fitness Jensen Beach is a great gym as clean as it can be and more. Had a good tour here and signed up. Saw that there was additional fees I couldn't afford and wasn't willing to take on for the small window of opportunity I had to hit the gym. Signed up with Alex and he was super helpful. When I decided to opt out Anthony was extremely helpful in getting me my cancellation confirmation. Overall it was a good experience. I have had a family membership here for many years. Myself, wife and grown kids. Gym has never been that clean but has declined in recent months. It is now filthy and now Mgt removed all paper towel dispensers and replaced with cheap moist towelettes that are insufficient to clean equipment. When asked why, the manager said he was tired of picking up the the paper towels. Too much new (lower cost) competition in the area. Look elsewhere. read more

Me and my family love this gym. My 4 year old asks to go to the Kids Club instead of the playground because the babysitters are very interactive. The gym is comfortably spread out so you don't feel like you're part of group workout the whole time. But they do offer great classes if that's your thing! I love, love, love this gym. This gym is the cleanest, least egotistical gym in this entire area. I've been a member of lifetime fitness for over 5 years before moving to LA Fitness purely because of the location. The energy the staff provides makes this gym one of the friendliest, and chill gyms I've ever worked out at. I've been a member of 24 hour fitness as well, and I looked at Crunch and Revive before joining but those were both hard passes because of clientele they bring in. I don't need to be around a bunch of roided out mouth-breathers or wannabe Tik Tok kiddies taking videos every workout when I'm just trying to be focused and work out for an hour. read more

Extremely outdated, bathroom always smells awful worst than any other gym I was a member to. Literally have to hold your breath as your peeing in urinal because it smells like pee has been sitting and marinating there for a year without anyone flushing or cleaning them. The dumbbell section starts off with light weights on bottom row then snakes to the top section of being heavier weight. Horrible set up, makes people have to continue walking along the weights and in front of others, very easy trip hazard. Has to be one of the worst gyms I have ever been to. read more

TLDR Cons -Unhelpful, rude staff that provides no noticeable value to members. -Severe lack of free-weight equipment relative to demand and use -Very crowded. You will wait for equipment, your workouts will last longer than they need to via wait time -Poorly maintained and old equipment -They want your money without meeting their end of the deal. They simply don't care about basic accountability or ongoing member satisfaction. Pros -Custodial staff keeps the place clean -If you like weight machines, there are a lot of them -There are multiple fitness options such as raquetball courts, a basketball court, and a small lap pool I have been a member of LA Fitness in Stuart since February 2019, and can say with confidence that this is a churn-and-burn operation. I have had very few experienced that exceed an average standard, the vast majority of which sit comfortably in poor to well-below average. while I could give several examples of frustrating experiences, I'll stick to my most recent experience that involves what is their most glaring deficiency, their staff. LA Fitness Stuart is a large facility, with a good range of activities and options including a pool, basketball court, cardio machines, group fitness area, machines and free weights. While they offer a lot, demand amongst members seems to be most high for the free-weight area and group fitness. I can't speak for group fitness, but the free weight area is overcrowded most of the time, with a major scarcity for the few things that people use. 40 LB dumbbells are one of those items, and they only have 3. Not 3 pair..... 3 total.. so effectively, they have one pair of 40 LB dumbbells for a gym with close to 800 members. They have as many usable 40 Lb dumbbells as they do 120 LB dumbbells. Now I'm not saying we all shouldn't aspire to be more swole to throw around those 120s, but in the meantime, there is not a linear demand among your gym going population for all dumbbell weights. 40 LB dumbbells are used a lot more than 120LB dumbbells and if you need them, they will be missing, or you will wait because someone else will be using them. This phenomenon is in full-effect for other weight ranges as well, but at least some of the other more in-demand weights are not present in an odd number. I brought the odd number 40Lb set to the attention of the member service desk months ago. I was told that they will "look into it". Nothing changed. I then spoke with the member service manager who said she would talk to the equipment manager. Weeks went by, still 3. I mentioned the issue 3-4 times more and was met with the same pass-the-buck apathy, with no signs of effort or progress to fix the issue. Yesterday I went to the desk because the place was a mess. Plates were left on unused equipment, lying on the floor, and equipment was misplaced, while 3 members of the staff and one guy I don't even know worked there behind the desk in a wife-beater, were socializing amongst themselves. This is definitely a trend at LA Fitness Stuart. I was admittedly visibly annoyed, and asked how many of them were standing around not doing anything. I was approached by a guy who said he was the general manager of the club. He commented the cause of the messy, disorganized state of the gym was "you guys, the member's fault, for not putting equipment back when you're finished with it. We don't go around hiding equipment on you" and the standard theme of it being another manager's responsibility for the 40LB dumbbell 3-pack and that it's "corporate's fault". It is true that there that there are definitely some rude members who never return their equipment, but this is not a satisfactory explanation from a general manager. In the middle of my conversation with the GM, one of the desk staff interrupted, saying that he had to ask him a question. When the GM asked him what it was about, he said "just something I gotta ask". He was clearly trying to bail the GM out from what he perceived to be as a petty complaint with an annoying member (me). I asked the kid if it was urgent, and he smugly responded "kind of" This is where I decided for sure that I wanted to cancel my membership, which of course, the GM couldn't do himself, and I was told I had to wait until the next week. read more

I had the misfortune of dealing with the staff here for the first time today, I can assure you they were absolutely uncompassionate and disappointing . Not only did they make it seem like a mistake they had been making with my account was my fault, but the 3 staff members I spoke with were incredibly rude and unhelpful especially the woman at the front desk who I assume was a manager since she boasted about working 40 hours a week there. They seemed like they couldn't be bothered to understand my issue. Instead of offering a simple solution I suggested that would have been an acceptable compromise they just tried to charge me money and then proceeded to waste my time and ruin.my workout. It's clear that this location doesn't care about its members or their satisfaction, and I would strongly advise against doing business with them unfortunately I still will be going here I just hope I never have to deal with the satff again. The gym itself is acceptable and clean that's the only positive thing I will say. However, if you are looking for a gym and haven't signed up here, save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere where you might get treated more decently. read more

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty. The staff is always responsive to my complaints about the filthy sauna and it is cleaned after each complaint. I don't understand why it isn't an everyday housecleaning chore. Love the water aerobics class. Patti keeps you moving with fast loud music and a smile. I walk out of there winded snd as the class ranges from young to almost 100, Patti offers suggestions on how to tweak it if you can't do something. Final update. I'm finally free. I work out in the early AM so have been limited on where I can go (many smaller gyms don't open until 6am). I've powered through this disgusting excuse for a gym for far too long. A 24/7 gym opened within a few miles of this dump. I left LA because I was tired of the abusive behavior of the staff (cleaning lady makes fun of members), appalling conditions (dirty, filthy, germy), and disrepair of equipment (months of "out of order" signs on the same machine). I've cancelled my membership and have never been happier. Tip... look to the north, you will see a "planet" that will welcome you. read more

I was lied to about the Personal Training. The fitness director told me that I could cancel at any time and that there was no contract involved. Of course, this was not true. I had to spend over $500 buying out the remainder of my 12-month contract and no staff member showed any effort in helping me. The best concern that I got was to "call corporate" and "I can't do anything at my level." The whole process was a royal pain and not to mention the gym itself isn't the best in town. Crunch Fitness of Stuart has a better facility and ambiance. Utilize your capital somewhere else. The memberships here are not worth it at this club. read more

I'm leaving this review in lieu of other bad reviews. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the cleanliness or machines at this gym. Yes, things break but they get fixed just as any other Planet Fitness or other gym. LA Fitness has the cleanest facilities, much cleaner than any other gyms in the area. Planet fitness has bathrooms that are disgusting. Golds gym had equipment that my grandfather probably worked out on, and hasn't been maintained since. Seriously, the people that wrote these negative reviews must have some sort of hormone problem. LA Fitness is a premiere gym. It has huge floor space with lots of equipment and cardio machines. Another good thing is the gym is never crowded. In fact, an employee told us that the gym is one of the largest but has the fewest members (mostly due to previous management). The gym has a pool and a great spa area. It also has a great sauna that you can go into after your workout. The price is reasonable - $30/mo but you get a lot of perks - classes, racquetball courts, sauna, pool, spa... I have done the yoga class twice and it is challenging. Even for me who has been doing yoga for a while. It's a great gym and a great place to blow off some steam. The only caveat is that there is one receptionist who is not that friendly when I come in. She is expressionless and doesn't necessarily make you feel welcome. Her and my sister has gotten into it a couple of times but I'm not sure for what. I've heard she may be on her way out. But don't let that turn you off. Just hand her your card and be on your way to a great workout! read more
