Locally, in the Port Saint Lucie area where we live, both Planet Fitness and LA Fitness gyms honor Silvers Sneakers. We use both gyms on an ongoing basis. We find Planet Fitness has many excellent up-to-date cardio machines. PF also has a complete assortment of the "Nautilus style" machines for our more modest weight-training needs. The PF gym is kept clean and well-cared for. The employees are pleasant and professional. They keep the gym spotless. There are ample paper towel and bottles of cleaning spray stations well-located throughout the facility. There is ample parking. We go at different times on different days. The attendees range from seniors like us to younger men and women pursuing more aggressive training objectives, some using free weights. We highly recommend the Planet Fitness on Midway Ave in Ft. Pierce. PS-During the summer, we just spent two months in Hendersonville, NC in a campground with our RV. The Planet Fitness gym there was equally well-staffed and well-equipped.

It's pretty cool for adults who don't take themselves too seriously. Pure chaos. Make sure you rinse off before leaving, and wash everything when you get home. Which by the way kids are running around like it's a playground and they don't say anything about it. The place lacks any kind of etiquette for other people. The parking is awful as well. One way and only a couple of spaces almost got hit backing out. It's also behind the building. On top of that the staff bothers you the entire time. I also played music on my phone since there wasn't anything playing and people where talking at the top of their lungs and kids running around so I was trying to make my experience better. I was told to turn my music off which it wasn't even loud. She the proceeded to put on a speaker that didn't work and was static and music no one knew. There is no order to the ceramics either and you're rushed to pick one because people are walking everywhere and I almost dropped one when picking it out because someone pulled a chair out and hit me. Plus the ceramics are over priced. For a tiny trinket box it was almost 30 dollars. Plus they give you the colors which are mixed together usually and they don't clean the paint brushes. The chairs are also hard and wood so hope you don't want to sit there for a while. They also require you to pay before hand which doesn't bother me but it took forever to get someone's attention and it's not clear who works there and who is just walking around aimlessly. If you want a place for you kids to run around and not professional at all this is the place for you! Editied: We got the ceramics back and they where NOT finsihed in the kelm. The inside was squishy and there was a chip off the bottom.
