The…read morefront desk makes excuses and does not transfer calls to a manager and repeatedly told I would receive a call back which never happened. Each time I followed up, I was given another excuse. I paid for one-on-one personal training for myself and 2 daughters. Instead, the trainer took the liberty of turning sessions into group training without our consent. When we questioned it, the trainer Patty was extremely rude. We switched to another trainer who only lasted four sessions before quitting after we had to start from the very beginning with him. Then we were told we would be assigned yet another trainer and have to start all over again. We declined and were promised a refund for the one month since we were just charged and still had 8 sessions remaining which were not going to be used. It's been over 6 weeks and still have not received credit. Every time I call, I'm told its "pending" with no explanation and no resolution. On top of that, the facility's cleanliness is unacceptable for a brand-new gym. The bathrooms frequently smell strongly of urine, the floors are dirty, toilet paper is drenched on the floor and there is often no paper towels or cleaning supplies available to wipe down equipment. My husband has said the men's restroom is equally as bad. They have a movie room which we were extremely excited about with scheduled movies that never matched what was supposed to be playing in the room. Their AI equipment is poorly maintained and often broken. Very unprofessional management - Ariel, the Personal training manager, does not return any calls. When approaching the general manager, Steve, he seems genuine but again poorly executed assistance. I would say he at least tries. Poor communication exists especially from the front desk and failure to deliver the services paid for. I would NOT recommend this location at all. Sad because it is new and I would expect better customer service.

Locally, in the Port Saint Lucie area where we live, both Planet Fitness and LA Fitness gyms honor Silvers Sneakers. We use both gyms on an ongoing basis. We find Planet Fitness has many excellent up-to-date cardio machines. PF also has a complete assortment of the "Nautilus style" machines for our more modest weight-training needs. The PF gym is kept clean and well-cared for. The employees are pleasant and professional. They keep the gym spotless. There are ample paper towel and bottles of cleaning spray stations well-located throughout the facility. There is ample parking. We go at different times on different days. The attendees range from seniors like us to younger men and women pursuing more aggressive training objectives, some using free weights. We highly recommend the Planet Fitness on Midway Ave in Ft. Pierce. PS-During the summer, we just spent two months in Hendersonville, NC in a campground with our RV. The Planet Fitness gym there was equally well-staffed and well-equipped.
