Since Crumb Queen and Andy's Lunch are basically the same business in Osborne Village, I'll put my review for Andy's Lunch here as well.
I went here for lunch on a Saturday, about half an hour before closing. Andy's Lunch has two homemade pasta options available, as well as a few sandwich options, which all change frequently. When I went, they had a rigatoni and a casarecce option. Since I didn't want anything creamy, I went with the casarecce, which included squash sauce, brown butter, whipped ricotta, fried sage, and parmagiano.
On the Crumb Queen side, I grabbed a potato, sausage, and carm onion danish.
The pasta dish was very unique, albeit a bit small in size. I can definitely tell that the casarecce was homemade. It was delicious, and of all things I found to be the uniquely great touch, it was the fried sage...lol.
The danish was good too, only issue was that it was on the cold side. I did arrive around 2:30pm, so my guess was that the bakery was done baking for the day.
Restaurant is over the counter, you order at the cashier and they'll give you a number for the servers to bring the food to you if dining in.
Given the diverse bakery menu and the frequent changes in the lunch menu, it's a place worth regularly coming back. read more
