It had to be done. I had to know how Cruiser's compares to Chaps. Jeremy and I were over at Tradepoint Atlantic, checking out the wreckage of the bridge, and decided to get a little snack before we headed to the park. Friends had just visited Cruiser's the week before, and had warned us not to get the hamburger, so we ordered a pit beef sandwich to share. Jeremy got it topped with raw onions and barbecue sauce. He brought me a small container of horseradish. It was fine. A bit dry. Since it was sauced before the employee wrapped it, Jeremy didn't think to bring me a container of sauce, too. The horseradish is fantastic, though. Makes your brain feel like you've been electrocuted - which is exactly how I like it. We prefer Chaps, but not the location in Glen Burnie. You need to go to the original location to get the top-notch sandwich. Personally, I think getting the Cruiser's sandwich cooked medium was the issue. I've had better pit beef sandwiches at carnivals. So if you like your sandwich more on the pink side, don't order medium. Jeremy ate the majority of the sandwich, and enjoyed it. I'm sorry. I just can't work up any enthusiasm about it.

We checked this spot out after a hike nearby and it was a great find ! We got their 2 meat sandwich, a hotdog, burger, cream of crab soup & fries! The sandwich and hot dog were so delicious! Very tender and flavorful!! The burger was done too well for our liking and ended up being super dry. In the midst of ordering so much food for 2 ppl we realized afterwards the cashier never asked how we wanted to burger cooked. Oh well! The fries were delicious too but what fries aren't ? I also took a quick step back to childhood as they had Linden cookies so snagged one of those as well!

Great spot for lunch after hiking at North Point State Park. The meats were good, we tried the pit beef and put ham. I love pit ham. The house made sauces were delicious, I forget the name of their main house sauce but it was really tasty! Only complaint is the Kaiser roll was a bit dry and fell apart while eating, I wish it was on a potato roll instead. Fries were delicious! They have a lot of options on the menu, good looking deserts and tons of chips and miscellaneous items to purchase at the counter. For instance we got a container of local honey for a really good price! The food did take a while, so don't be in a rush to get in and out here! There were a few people ahead of us, but it seemed like everyone was waiting a while for their orders. Lots of room to sit and eat.

So today I had a company luncheon and saw Deli-ish on the CaterNation sight. I looked over the menu and saw that they weren't too expensive, pretty much reasonable. Knowing I had Faculty with dietary needs, I reached out to a CaterNation agent if this vendor could alter any sandwich for a person who's gluten free and to my surprised they replied by saying the vendor could accommodate. A total WIN!! I placed my order for an arrival time of 1130 today ( 9/24/25), to my shocker they delivered the food 15 minutes earlier. Something I'm definitely not mad at. The delivery was helpful and very punctual. Another Win!! The lunch boxes were in a brown box (nothing special). On the inside they had the sandwich/wrap, a bag of kettle chips, and a little serving of coleslaw, with Mike's mustard and mayonnaise packets. The sandwich was HEFTY (in a good way) I ordered a roast beef and another coworker ordered a tuna wrap, which was also HEFTY. They were so hefty I couldn't finish it, I wrapped the remaining up for later. The roast beef was well done (I prefer medium), but I understand why it was well done, but it was still good. My coworker said her tuna was delicious and sweet. She said it tasted like they put sweet onions in the wrap and dill in the tuna salad. The kettle chips were good as always and cole slaw was okay not bland, but not sweet either. Again another win! Final verdict, I'll be ordering from them again!!

If you're talking Baltimore pit beef, Chaps Pit Beef has been a staple for years, and after coming here for over a decade, I can confidently say it still delivers every single time. Their new location, just a stone's throw from the original humble shack, is a huge upgrade. You get the same iconic food, but now with a much larger dining room that actually makes it easy to bring a group without fighting for space. It's the best of both worlds. Same old school flavor with a more comfortable setup. On my most recent visit, I stuck with my go to. A loaded hoagie absolutely packed with pit beef, corned beef, sausage, and turkey. It's massive, messy in the best way, and exactly what you want when you're craving something unapologetically Baltimore. I paired it with a large order of fries, which were piled high and perfect for sharing. Decided to switch it up a bit and try the Holy Cod fish sandwich too, and that ended up being a sleeper hit. Huge portion of crispy fried cod, topped with fresh coleslaw on a soft bun. Not something you usually go to Chaps for, but honestly worth ordering. Everything came out crazy fast, which is always impressive considering how busy they can get. Quick stop at the condiment bar is a must. Load up on the free pickles, onions, Carolina Gold mustard, and that tiger sauce. The horseradish and mayo combo just hits different on pit beef. Bottom line, Chaps might not be a hidden gem anymore, but it doesn't need to be. It still outperforms most spots in the pit beef game and continues to be one of the best sandwiches you can get in Baltimore.

It didn't even have the smell or feel of a proper pit beef place. Customer service also needs improvement. The cashier taking our order seemed more focused on watching the baseball game on TV than helping customers. Upon coming into Di Pasquale's I wasn't sure what to expect and my expectations were not high, but oh my gosh were they blown away. Quite literally everything I had was without note. I had the muffuletta, caponata and some Pignoli cookies and I truly cannot speak highly enough about each item. The sandwich was wonderful and well balanced, the Caponata was genuinely some of the best Caponata I've had in my entire life. As someone who makes Caponata on an almost weekly basis I was absolutely blown away at this one and would genuinely rank it top five I've ever had. The Pignoli cookies were good as well they were a bit harder than I like, but no real complaints. There's not much to speak to in terms of service here as it's an order at the counter and seat yourself kind of place but staff was friendly and then ambiance is again nothing too crazy but definitely a great lunch spot and so many fun items to purchase. Next time I'm in Baltimore, I will without a doubt be coming back here and would genuinely put this on a must hit list for anyone visiting the city.

But now they are Italian and part of a growing chain of restaurants. I wish they would remove the "Curry Cafe" sign from their side window because it brings me grief. They no longer have any Indian food on their menu, or anything remotely curry-like, so this is false advertising, but we used to go to Caddyshack for Butter Chicken and the like, when we had a craving and now we have to go into the city to find delicious Indian food. I miss the convenience of being able to go just down the street for mango lassis and naan. I don't eat nearly as much Indian food as I would like because Fell's Point seems like such a haul from Dundalk. It's not, really, but you get my point. We were coming home from Jeremy's surgery and no one had the energy to make dinner. We needed something cheap that could feed three people (Justin was with us because Jeremy wasn't allowed to drive after his ordeal, and I can't drive) so pizza sounded about right. Even when this place was Caddyshack, we never ordered pizza, so we took a shot and I ordered online (I love the convenience of being able to do that. Socially awkward people unite!). The pizza (with sausage, pepperoni, and onion) was amazing. The crust is thin, with enough flavor to it that my cat Jayne decided that he needed to steal my bone/crust right off my plate. He's so spoiled. The onions were a little sparse, but my tastebuds didn't miss them because the sausage and pepperoni were so delicious. They were running a deal for Tuesday, where you could get a 16" three-topping pizza for a VERY reasonable price, so I tacked on some hot honey wings, too. Not a fan of those. They're typical wings, but the hot honey sauce didn't sing. I should have ordered my favorite - sweet thai chili, so that's MY error, not the restaurant's. I would definitely go back for the pizza. The three of us tore through that thing, leaving nothing behind. Really superb.

Very good pizza, excellent cream of crab soup, even better price! I will keep going back.read more

There was a long line, but we were able to find a table relatively quickly. The vegan cinnamon roll was unfortunately out by the time I arrived, but I would love to have tried that (their other pastries looked incredible). For coffee, I got the coldbrew, which was delicious with a bit of oatmilk. The high ceilings make it feel larger than it is, and the bright patterns add so much personality to what would otherwise be a rather austere industrial space. Recommended for both vibe and food :)
